"Enjoyed our visit very much. Appetizers and entrees were excellent. Staff was polite and attentive. The only issue we encountered was a bit too much sunlight as the sun was setting, however, we were told they were having blinds installed in a few days, so this shouldn't be a problem for future guests (our visit was on June 1, 2013)."

"I really think this has all the potential to be a hot spot in Escondido, but it really fell short. Started with an amazing appetizer of bacon wrapped dates, but then things went south. The steak I ordered medium rare was so pink it was almost moving and all of the sauces and sides were just so-so. Honestly, I make better steaks on my grill at home.
Wouldn't have been so bad, but our waiter seemed more interested in getting my mom and I out, on Saturday before Mother's day no less. The start of the service was great, but our waiter almost never stopped at our table after our order was placed and by the end of the meal I almost felt unwelcome."

"The hostess should not seat diners in the front tables when the sun is going down. It was excruciating and there were lovely tables I discovered in the wine bar that we could have been moved to instead. Major management fail. Once blinds are in place the restaurant is lovely, but I doubt I will return because of the poor handling of our seating and no attempt to help us. Just awful."

"I've read many reviews about this place and decided to go for it. I was not disappointed. I reserved a table for a special date and the server respected our space and let us take all the time we wanted. I had the plank salmon paired with a savignon blanc. Absolutely fantastic! My date had the Mahi Mahi prepared gluten free which was also fantastic. It's nice to see more and more restaurants acknowledging gluten free preparation for their foods. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family."

"the wine selection was superb and the wait staff attentive and helpful. As usual the grilled artichokes where outstanding. Each of us ordered a different salad and they were all lovely large and distinctive. Two of the four of us had the fettichini alfredo w chicken & sausage entree which was perfectly cooked. The only downer tor our meal was the noise level. We arrived at 715 and the restaurant was fairly busy. We had a table for 4, but we could only talk to the person next to us unless we shouted back and forth. Towards the end of the evening it gott much quieter. Our friends enjoyed their first trip there as much as we did. we will be back again!"

"This is the first time we dined at Intertwined, and we had the an incredible experience. The chef brought our meal and not only was the presentation beautiful, it was wonderful to eat. We had the large Plank with 4 cheeses, 3 meats, 3 condiments, dried fruit, nuts and sliced baguette. The service was impeccable, and the wine selection was extensive. We will definitely go there again. Quite a gem in Escondido."

"Intertwined is great! Delicious food at reasonable prices! It gets pretty loud since it is one big room...so if you are seeking a quiet place to talk, try to sit outside or at one of the few tables at the very back. All of the portions are nicely sized to share or they make a generous meal if you want to keep it to yourself. They seem to get a bit inconsistent on busy weekends but overall, Intertwined is a great local restaurant."

"The resteraunt decor was relaxing and inviting. The appetizers were very tasty, my husband and I loved the goat cheese stuffed dates, wrapped in bacon and the macaroni and cheese. The bottle of wine was very fairly priced and paired perfectly with my Mai Mai, with peanut sauce. My husband's filet mignon was a very good cut! I highly suggest the back area tables by the bar if you perfer more intimate dinning, especially the closet with the comfy chairs!"

"The latest gem of Escondido. Food and wine are comparable to the Gaslamp or boutique restaurants of Carlsbad and Solana, but the ambiance, service and lack of pretentiousness set Intertwined apart. It is classy, but unassuming. Pricing is very reasonable and everyone from the hostess, to the wait team to the owner project warmth and a responsibility for your enjoyment. Cheers! "We really wanted to love this place, and plan to go back and give it another shot. The menu offers nice choices, we tried the crab cakes, a plank and the salmon. The crab cakes were soggy through the consistency from top to bottom was akin to tuna salad, I wish it had some crunch and texture. The plank had a lovely presentation, no complaints there. My salmon came out of the kitchen raw in the middle. The waitress seemed embarrassed and corrected the situation right away a replacement was brought out within minutes. The bread pudding was amazing! If all of the food was as incredible as the dessert we would have recommended Intertwined to everyone. Hoping our next experience is better so we will have a new place to love"

"We've been to this restaurant several times now. The food is always delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful should you need any items explained (What's a plank??). The wine list is generous enough and reasonably priced. Its getting harder to be a "walk in" anymore so I highly recommend making a reservation first."
