Accurso's Italian Restaurant
For over 26 years Accurso's has been a staple for Kansas City Italian cuisine. We offer a wide selection of Italian favorites including the city's best Diavolo sauce and Italian Steak Parmesan & of course Grandma Mimi's homemade cheesecake (New York style with a sour cream topping and fresh strawberry sauce). We have an extensive wine and liquor menu with over 200 selections which our highly trained staff would be happy to guide you through.

"This has been my wifes'nd my own go to Italian spot for several years (pretty much since the 1st time we went there about 8 years ago), but ever since they moved locations never felt quite as tasty Maybe a little was lost on the new ambiance, but we genuinely think the food is kind of hit and miss whenever we go. We pretty much have settled on ordering the same thing and sharing (Shrimp Diablo and Chicken Alfredo Spedini) and it always seems like one is good and the other is just ok. We still really like Accurscos, but we might have to start expanding to other Italian joints again."

"We took our son and a friend to this place while visiting Kansas City. We were pleasantly surprised at the upscale interior and excellent food. The menu, while not huge, had something for everyone, and the service was excellent! We will return next time we are in the area."

"We mainly went to hear the live entertainment (classical guitarist) who was fantastic. We got a nice table by the window and where we could also get an overall view of the restaurant. The atmosphere is very classy & energetic. We had lasagna and a chicken dish with red sauce, and were both disappointed, and wished we'd gotten something with a cream sauce, as we'd heard the chicken fettucine is very good. The salad was very good. We had a reservation and were seated right away, with our requested seating taken into consideration. The service was very good, and the server was very intent on making sure we were happy."

"Great ambiance / incredible food. I had the pasta diablo with italian sausage. Unbelievably good - no room for improvement. My fiance had the pasta carbonara which was equally impressive. Dinner salads were well proportioned and tasty. Service was spot on. We will be back!"

"Excellent restaurant, tasty and satisfying food, great service, in my opinion the best business (or casual) lunch in the Plaza area. They will go out of their way to make you happy, and I look forward to returning there soon.
Not many area lunch meetings go the additional mile of tablecloth venues, but this one does and it's a really nice touch.
Dining at Accurso's also relieves me of the stress of hunting for a parking space. Off street parking is easy with a very large, clean and well lit lot just behind the restaurant. The parking entrance off 50th Street. Free validation.
Excellent and extended Happy Hour as well."

"We have eaten here many many times. We went here the night we got engaged and like to come here for bdays and such. We love this place however it just wasn't good this time. They got a new chef recently and he has changed a few things. The Rice Balls are amazing! However the spiedini was just not good. No sauce of any kind. No olive oil. Just dry noodles with some fresh tomatoes. No flavor."

"While the food was great, our service was terrible. For a party of six that requested two checks, our server seemed overwhelmed and unprepared. The bussers and people serving food were great however, and took better care of our table than our server."

"Their appetizers are good enough to order several as small plates and make a meal to share. This time, my husband and I shared the Shrimp Scampi appetizer and the cheese ravioli entree with 2 huge meatballs each the size of a baseball. A salad came with the entree. Our friends had the fried ravioli appetizer which was wonderful as well. No room for dessert but we all left happy!"

"Bad surprise. The service was really bad, it took a while to ask us our choices of drink and food and then we just started our appetizer and the plates arrived. So it had to be re-heated... Food was so so and finally pricey for what it is. The antipasti platter full of oil and balsamic vinegar, useless on fine slices of meat. We'll find a better Italian restaurant."

"We had a group of 12. Our waiter was very nice, I think he needed more assistance. I attribute that to management. My husband had to send his plate back because it was cold. They comp'd him for it which was very nice but still not needed if the manager is managing properly."

"We went for Valentines Day so limited menu. Will be back to experience more of what they offer. The only negative I would give is that our table and a few around us are located by the entrance to the kitchen area. BRIGHT lights and not very cozy. Would have preferred a different location in the restaurant but with it being Valentines understand that there was limited seating. I would recommend some sort of curtain to separate this entrance from the dining area."

"Accurso's was great for V-Day! Each dish in the 4-course meal was the perfect size. The options were all sounded very good. The veal was a little tough and gristly, and the server didn't know how to properly light the alcohol on the marscapone pear, but other than that it was perfect!"

"Went to this amazing restaurant for Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. Our reservation wasn't until 9pm but showed up early around 8 15pm and they still sat us down immediately. Great candlelight dinner with even better food! The special menu for the evening covered a broad spectrum of foods. One of the Accurso family members was sitting at the table next to us so we spoke for a minute and he was an extremely friendly guy. I've been to many restaurants around the country and world over the years with my job and this was one of the absolute best. Next time I'm in Kansas City area we will be enjoying another meal here!"

"My wife and I have been looking for an Italian restaurant in the KC area that we could agree on for years. This is it. It was clean, modern and cozy at the same time. The food, especially the seafood ravioli, was outstanding. The service was excellent, not snooty. The bar area looked great and there are lots of windows so as to enjoy the south plaza street and neighborhood. We will be going back soon and often."
