When you walk through the front door of Johnny’s Kitchen and Tap, you inhale the delicious aroma of chicken cooking in a wood-roasting rotisserie oven. Cozy, casual, and nicely outfitted, Johnny’s in business since 1995, has a large bar that separates two dining rooms and offers something for everyone. We have a party room that accommodates up to 70 people.
Johnny’s is well known for their wood-roasted chicken, rotisserie-roasted pork, baby back ribs and real mashed potatoes. The menu also features steak and chops, fresh fish, pastas, salads and sandwiches. Specials are offered daily and include such favorites as charbroiled fresh fish, Chicken al Forno and Shrimp Fontinella. Johnny’s spacious bar offers a full wine list, a wide selection of beers on tap and an extensive martini list. Don’t forget to save room for dessert-the fresh baked Apple Pie with French vanilla ice cream and caramel is a favorite!
"Everything about this place is excellent except for the ribs! Little tough and meat does not fall off the bone like Gale Street! Service is top notch!"

"Our four dinners were very good. I had the pork chops and they were very tender and and has a lot of flavor. Hubby had chopped steak and he loved it. The couple we treated had fried shimp and skirt steak and both enjoyed their meal."

"First time there for 3 out of 4 of us. Reminiscent of a Wisconsin dinner club. Seems dated but so what. A vast menu including plenty of comfort food. Roasted Chicken dish with sauteed peppers was delicious; liver and onions like "mom's". Nice salad with homemade dressings. Blue cheese was worth it. Wine list very basic but you go here for the food. Definitely worth a return."

"Our server was friendly attentive and gave very accurate descriptions of the food. I sat at table top in the bar and there is a wonderful huge bar. She even brought our table of four the best bread pudding any of us had ever had and gratis!!! Chicken, ribs burgers all good not great. They are famous. For their mashed potato's and they truly are great, without garlic and cheesing it up. We will go back and we live 35 minutes from Johnny's."

"Their food seems to be declining - the last two times we were there they quality of the food was poor.
We ordered two things that were specials for the day thinking they would be good, but we were very disappointed. The shrimp dejonghe was dry and flavorless and the salmon was a bit overcooked and a bit out of date (tasted less than fresh)."
