"Went with a group of 5 and enjoyed every moment. The host was very informative and explained all the dishes, the restaurant favourites and suggested items based on or likes (which we had many) and a few dislikes. A good selection of wines and cocktails which everybody enjoyed.
We started we the Avacado Fries and we ordered those another 4 times, they are one of the best dishes!! We also ordered the ceviche, lamb meatball, oysters, chickpeas and octapus, batatas, this weird date dish, and oxe tail. Everything was fantastic. My favorite was the ceviche and the meatballs. Ceviche was not too lemony as they ususally are and had some corn stuff that gave it a crunch. Meatballs had a mint chutney on it and was delicious. A MUST VISIT!"

"Creative menu,everything intensely flavourful. We enjoyed every dish. The kale with lemon garlic was a delightful surprise; wild mushrooms were as good as you could hope for and the stuffed dates were miraculous. Paella was excellent. Our server was charming, attentive and unpretentious-- one of those rare restaurant folks who make a positive contribution to the overall experience. The only drawback was an unusually raucous group of diners whose noise level was pretty disruptive."

"Generally very tasty tapas. A little rich and salty. The kale was so salty - almost inedible.

"Amazing food-- expensive wine list. Atmosphere and service were excellent except the hostess who didn't quite know how to make diners feel appreciated while at the same time getting them to move on in order to accommodate the next reservation. Would definitely go back to Torito!"

"The Torito Tapas has an excellent selection of hot and cold tapas. Must haves are the Ceviche, Avocado Fries, Lamb Meatballs and Piquillo Peppers Stuffed with Braised Oxtail. Extremely tasty! The dishes can easily be split for two - but really need to purchase doubles to split for four. Great atmosphere - can be a bit loud when there are several large parties but in a fun kind of way."

"Great food and reasonably priced. Lively atmosphere but a little to noisy at times. Reserved a spot for two and ended up getting a high table with stoles. Try to call in the res so you don't get stuck with a high stole with no back. Definitely will go back again soon, good staff and rustic presentation on the dishes. All round good times, add a pitcher of red or white sangria to let loose."

"The dates with cheese, almonds, and bacon were incredible, as was the ceviche. Pacing was good, the wait staff knowledgeable and friendly, the sangria refreshing and distinctive, the vibe relaxed. Truthfully, we worked our way through seven plates and everything was top-notch, with that blend and contrast of flavours and textures that are the hallmark of superior tapas. The next time we're in Toronto it will be Torito for sure!"
