"We were on time for my noon reservation, we ordered our iced tea and sparking water immediately, and then ordered our lunch by 12:10. Thereafter, we did not see our appetizers until 12:40, and we did not see our our lunch until 1:15, and then. To top it off, my one client's cheeseburger was uneatable, and my other client's steakhouse salad, which was supposed to be without bacon, had an abundance of bacon. Fortunately, both my overpriced steak and the side of corn were tasty. There are too many fine steakhouses in the city where both the quality of food and level of service are outstanding - this is not one of them. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and embarassing experience for me as this was an important business lunch."

"I took my 69 year old fiather in law here for his retirement dinner. He thought it was the best steak and best meal he has ever had. I agree. The steak andside dishes make this the best resturaunt in town. The service was outstanding and I cannot brag about the bone in filet enough. Absolutely superb."

"I have been to many Del Frisco's in other cities and it is usually phenomenal. Not the one in Chicago. We were put on the third floor and it was so loud that you could barely hear the other people at the table. The waitress was rude and the service was extremely slow. It took about 45 mins just to get our first bottle of wine. The waitress was pushy and kept trying to get us to order more sides - I've been to Del Frisco's before, I know what I want so stop being so pushy! The food was great as usual - but if you're paying for a high quality meal I would also like good service like you usually find at Del Frisco's in other cities."

"Disappointing service and then rushed to leave the table. Potato dish badly over-seasoned with pepper, (wrong) after dinner drink brought very late to the table, secondary waiter (not Sarah, our primary server) literally never stopped walking as he set the incorrect cocktail down and disappeared. "Prime Strip" steak had significant gristle -- I cut it away and placed on bread plate. No server or busboy cleared it from the table -- it was still there as we were being rushed out. Altogether a very disappointing evening."

"We arrived for our 6:15 RSVP on time. The hostess said in would be a minute or two. We waited 20 mins before we checked back with her and were seat right away. The thing that I did not like about this was that about 30 people came in the meantime and were seated. When we were seated the dinner room was half full, do not know why we were made to wait like that. Once, we were seated the experience was very enjoyable. Great server and amazing food."

"The restaurant space is gorgeous reaching three stories, a magnificent suspended wine tower and wine displayed throughout. While the space is big and beautiful, the smaller touches just aren't there. The service was inconsistent, hurried and just plain sloppy. Servers and food runners were tripping over each other, silverware being dropped, staff was hovering or no where to be found. Additionally, in a city of great steaks the food was just "okay". The Fillet and bone-in strip were good and prepared well. The sides which is usually is the deciding factor (all steaks being equal) - we had brussel sprouts, baked potato, del's salad - were not very good. It's pretty on the outside, but some attention to detail is needed."

"I have visited many of the Del Frisco's, however my favorite up until now has been Las Vegas. Vegas has been my benchmark for all Del Frisco's I have visited. Immediately upon entering the Chicago Del Frisco's I enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance. They managed to take a hisortic Chicago landmark, keep many of those qualitites and still make this a hip, chic resturaunt with the same great service and food the Del Frisco's has been come to be know for. Wile I stillhave a soft spot in my heart for the Las Vegas spot, Chicago is now my new favorite!"

"If you are looking for a quiet intimate dining experience, it's not here at Del Frisco's. As to be expected, it's a massive place with multiple levels and everything in a grand scale, including the multi-level wine cellar in glass that towers four levels.. The services was very good, our waiter was attentive, and our steaks were prepared as ordered and very good. Our only complaint and observation, if you're going to drop $100+ per person on dinner, it's a restaurant that seems to care less that people wear t-shirts, baseball caps, and take an elegant dinng experience down to the level of a local Longhorn steakhouse."

"I am from Texas and we like our steak…a lot! So while in Chicago, we took our coworker who is a huge foodie to dinner and we were all blown away with the experience. The restaurant is in an old theater and they somehow managed to keep the soul of the building alive with its history. Most companies today wouldn’t care to spend the time or money to do so. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great steak and an amazing ambiance."

"I'm happy to say I've eaten at 8 of the Del Fresco's in the national restaurant group and seek them out as one of the finest steakhouse experiences for great steak, outstanding wines and exemplary service. Visiting the newly opened venue at The Esquire Theater location exceeded my expectations, particularly how attentive the management was to check that our special group was having an outstanding experience. I'm encouraged (again) by their complete service and will be headed to NYC to visit the recently opened Del Fresco there."

"Took a friend there for her birthday. Beautiful restaurant with a great view if you are seated by the windows. Extensive lunch menu, food was wonderful. We had a very slight problem with her meal and they handled it superbly. Can't wait to go back and try dinner!"

"ALL hostesses VERY warm, friendly, welcoming & flexible, allowed us to enjoy drinks @ bar until we were "ready" to dine. We were seated at the best table available. Huge spacious booths all set apart for privacy. Excellent wine list- enjoyed Prosecco & red wine by the glass. Started w/mixed greens, best bacon ever & the most yummy dressings. Then, shared a flight of 3 filets w/different sauces (all were to-die-for delicious!) & lamb chops (5) with great dipping sauce, fantastic mashed potatoes & asparagus w/almonds~everything was perfect! Service from Val & the boys who served us simultaneously & even divided our plates was stellar! Banana bread pudding-very good but we'd like more sauce.1 wish:offer bread basket instead of sesame loaf!"

"Great food in elegant surroundings. Steaks are cooked to perfection, according to diner's preference. Fabulous onion rings the size of a small tire. Service attentive and cheerful. Lemon cake dessert, large enough to share, is delicious and moist. Definitely one of the better steakhouses in town."

"I placed reservations a month and a half before my boyfriends birthday and was dissapointed to still remind them that it was a special occasion. Our waiter was clueless. An overall experience was good, food amazing; only wish the place was set up more romantic."

"Everythng was great except for wait time for food. I was a little surprised at how long our main entree's took to come out since we did not order appetizers and it was 10:30PM at night. I would say we waited about 25 minutes for our food and when it came out it was not hot. We did not mention to the waiter since we were really hungry by the time the food came and did not want to wait another 25 min for food to be made again."
