Fill all your senses at Ford"s Filling Station - LA's first and finest Gastropub - where the atmosphere is relaxed yet often bustling.
Comfortable seating areas with warm walnut surfaces and Asian rugs create a charming intimacy amidst an informal setting. The patios are intimate, for private parties, and offer a soothing contrast to our energetic main room, which features wood-beamed ceilings, brick, polished concrete floors and an open kitchen. Machine-age lamps accent the wooden bar while large celestial chandeliers create a ceiling of soft light.
Our dedication to craft is evident in the American Regional Menu, which is rustic, simple and innovative, yet familiar. The seasonal menu emphasizes flavor in exciting, uncomplicated combinations and in keeping with Chef Ford's earthy palate.
"First time at Ford's Filling Station. It's been talked about for some time and finally I checked it out for Mother's day lunch. My mom & I went after checking out the menu online beforehand. We decided to go for lunch instead of dinner to ovoid massive crowds--great idea. Food is heavily pork/meat oriented but also combined with some interesting veggies to even it out. Outside dining is definitely recommended."

"I was able to make last minute reservations, and when we got there, they accommodated us with a better table that we loved. There were specials and regular items and it was unrushed and pleasant with delicious food and dessert. Ham flavored ice cream! Every flavor they serve is made "in house" and so unique like all their other offerings, but the Pub Burger is still their best!"

"The bartenders were very congenial with great drink suggestions, without being too " in your business". The appetizer selection is fantastic.... Would return just for those, but dinner was also outstanding. I've been meaning to come for years. I live in Santa Barbara Ca, and was in LA for a conference. So glad I came, great neighborhood vibe too... I shall return. Love it."

"Had a very pleasant lunch with business colleagues on a pretty spring afternoon. Food was very solid. Service was friendly and professional. Great burger, hanger steak salad and smokey tasting Whitefish melt sandwich. Will definitely return."

"Great local spot, one of my all-time favorites. The food is consistently amazing and diverse, pushing my comfort zone. Everything from a simple salad to palenta cake to pig's head ragu. Phenomenal desserts. Awesome wine and microbrew list, and plenty of great wines available by the glass as well."

"This was my second time here and short of the bar, which I think is great, probably my last time here to have a meal. Everything here is simply---average. The menu really isn't filled with mouth watering options and the food that came---mediocre to average. Certainly not worth the money charged and certainly not enough to bring me back to the restaurant---a shame considering I drive home by this restaurant almost every weekday. Both my date and I felt the same way, and tonight I was with other friends and told them what I felt about Ford's Filling Station, and they said they felt exactly the same way. The ambiance was good the service was very good, and a few things were ok but this is NOT an exceptional restaurant."

"This is a classic and an old favorite. Somehow, we always end up here and never think much about it or why. However, I recently realized that I'm NEVER disappointed here and quite often even surprised by new dishes and flavors, despite knowing the menu so well. It's great for lunch, dinner, afternoon drinks, and brunch!"

"In fairness my dining companions greatly enjoyed their meals, although I was rather unsatisfied. Maybe it's my fault for not more carefully reviewing the menu before agreeing to eat here. I don't eat pork and the vast majority of their dishes have pork in them to the extent that they cannot always remove the pork from the dish. I ordered the fish and chips. For $14 I expected better. Two flavorless pieces of fish on top of a lot of fries and a couple of onion rings and stalks of asparagus. Frankly, the fish and chips I had in the airport a few days earlier were cheaper, better tasting, and more filling. The service was also lacking, although maybe they were short staffed."

"If you are looking for classic favorites with a bit of a foodie twist in Culver CIty try Ford's. We took some friends for an evening out. We had a bit of a wait to get service going but the waiter acknowledged the mistake and was on top of it. They brought some comp appetizers and made sure the rest of our dining experience was exemplary. The food was great and as described in the menu. The drinks were solid choices."

"Very loud, noisy atmosphere. Went on a Friday night, and it was starting to get noisy and busy by 7:30. Food caters mostly to omnivores and meat-eaters; there are dishes for vegetarians, but you know they tip their hats off to carnivores when they offer on the menu a whole roasted suckling pig."

"The food here was just okay. The burger was okay, the onion rings were soggy and the flat bread pizza was okay. I wouldn't come back here because it really was not that memorable and nor was the food flavorful."

"We went to Ford's Filling Station before going to the Kirk Douglas theater. Very convenient location. We parked at the municipal parking lot and walked over to the restaurant. Got there about 5:15 and ordered an appetizer before they officially started serving their dinner menu at 5:30. Food is always great. Service is attentive. Just a friendly place to eat. The menu changes so there's always new and interesting things to try."

"We went on Easter Sunday, so that could have been the reason that the food was so delayed, but we did have to wait quite a while for the food. Our server was very kind and apologized for the delay and brought out bread for the table. We eventually got our food and it tastes mediocre. I enjoyed the company but was a tad disappointed in the overall experience"

"This is the third time we travel 30+ miles to get to this restaurant and we are NEVER disappointed. The flatbreads make a delicious appetizer. The fish tastes very fresh (one in my party had the trout) and I had the flat iron angus steak that was cooked medium to perfection. Desert was chocolate cheese cake. Our waitress, Stephanie, was outstanding and the rest of the food servers, hostesses and food runners all contributed to making our Easter dinner fun, delicious and memorable."

"The food was good, but quite heavy and not for someone on a diet. Hence the name, "Filling Station". Entrees were somewhat overpriced. Service was good, but on the slow side. Overall a decent meal, but not particularly memorable."

"this is our second time at this restaurant and for a place that "specializes in pork", it was disappointing. First of all, the pork selections were few and far between. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was tough and lacked flavor. Friends ordered the burgers and they were fine. The halibut wasn't cooked well either. And the polenta cake was such a small portion size that my friend ordered a side dish as well!
Not good food for the amount of money you spend."

"Absolutely fantastic. The cured meat (which they do there) and cheese selection was amazing. I tried the Halibut and can say that I've literally never tasted such a good execution of the fish! Green garlic sauce, fresh veggies with a little crunch for texture. AMAZING. We also had the kale caesar with the poached egg - wow! Definitely save room for the chocolate peanut butter tart and the white chocolate bom.
And to top it all off, the waiter was great, attentative, and knowledgable. He nailed the balance between attentative and giving the diner space. Even with the Oscars that night, it was easy to have a delightful time. Definitely going back!"

"Excellent food, attentive service, lively atmosphere while still maintaining a feeling of intimacy. My only criticism is that the selection of entrees is rather limited: one chicken dish, one fish dish, one meat, one vegetarian. That said, my meal was delicious, and I will be back."

"Ford's Filling Station is a nice, low-key place to grab dinner before catching a movie in Culver City. I had the trout and mac and cheese -- both of which went down easily with a Racer 5. Great beer selection. I want to go back with a larger group to sample more of the cuisine. Definitely the kind of place I can see myself going to again and again."

"Celebrated our anniversary and had a great time. Our waiter was awesome! He was knowledgeable, helpful and he explained the specials to every table, with enthusiasm and excitement, as if it was the first time he had to describe them. The service was fantastic. The food was AMAZING! We sat on the side patio, which was loud, but energetic. Great for dinner with friends."

"Love it! Bacon wrap dates, squash blossom flatbread - great starters. Shrimp & grits, the best - big juicy shrimps great flavored grits! Hubby had pub burger w/Maytag blue & cartelized onions, son had fish & chips w/onion rings - both very happy with their choices. I always request quiet table as I have trouble hearing and they always try to accommodate me. We return again & again."

"I like the ambiance and the staff is skilled in customer service but each time we go the food is a little disappointing. This past time everything was chock full of salt, the salad, the flatbread. I had a friend in from out of town and was bummed she wasn't taking away an amazing impression."

"As usual the food was great. It was DineLA week and a set menu. We each had the soup. My friend had the shrimp and I ordered the osso bucco. We both had the sundae for dessert. Everything cooked to perfection! I only gave 4 stars because of the service. It took over 35 minutes to order and we were never asked whether we wanted a drink. I had to get another waiter's attention to be able to get a beer and a glass of wine."
