"The Crave is one of the best places to dine in Cincinnati. From the minute we walked in we were treated like we were the only guest in the house. We were seated and immediately the manager took our drink order, our server came over and gave us some amazing food recommendations. Our server made sure we had amazing experience. I would have to say that the food was amazing and would rank superior compared to some other places I have tried. If you look at the menu you may say the food price is a little steep; however once you eat there you will realize that you get what you pay for. I would recommend anyone to go the Crave!"

"After a extremely long wait for a table on Mother's Day for brunch even though we had a reservation we decided to go back and have dinner. It was a Monday night no Reds game and the place was less than half full. I was looking forward to trying the rib eye. When I ordered it I was told by the waiter they were out of Ribeye. How can you run out of a menu item when the place is only a third full? I asked the manager and he said he had no real excuse. I ordered something else and it was very good. The food is very good, the service was very good but he is something about the management of this place that isn't adding up. Also Mondays are 1/2 price wine nights."

"Probably the only dissapointing experience I have had at Crave. The breakfast bar was mediocre at best. My husband called to confirm the type of format offered and was told no buffet, which was good. Brunch menu looked very appealing. When we arrived, we were told that the format was changed and only the buffet was available (and sushi). Since my MIL drove an hour south to join us for a belated mother's day brunch and isn't very mobile, we were stuck so I was hoping it would be a really good buffet. It wasn't, to say the least. We will be looking elsewhere for future brunch options."

"We go out to eat a lot. Had reservation walked us back to our table after reasonable short wait but the table was occupied hostess said SORRY. Then parked our group of 4 in a busy hall by the bar and window for 15 min. Manager said SORRY. Then put us at a make shift table in the middle of a door opening. The manager said SORRY. Then after making our drink orders moved us to a booth. We picked up our menus and silverware per instructions from restaurant officials and sat down. Then had negotiations with the new server in that area as to do we want to use the new server our the old server. The manager said SORRY. Not even going to get into the food part but the manager said SORRY and comped our four drinks and the one raw salmon"

"After reviewing the website, I was excited to dine at Crave, but unfortunately, it didn't really meet our expectations. The restaurant is very loud and even though our group of 6 had a round table (next to the open kitchen) it was difficult to converse. There were lots of miscues during the evening including no bread ever brought to the table, water glasses not refilled, salad plates not cleared, entrees coming before apps/salads finished, wine delivered to wrong diner, no soy sauce brought with sushi, cappuccino and coffee ordered but never served with dessert. Entrees are priced like fine dining, but overall experience not at the fine dining level. Very low average service."

"I brought my husband here for his birthday. The atmosphere was energetic, friendly staff, great music. Appetizers came out quickly and were hot and fresh. I had the spicy shrimp pasta. It was awesome. The steak my husband had needed a little more seasoning. Overall good food good atmosphere!!"

"Ambience great, but everything else needs polish. Hostess told 2 in our party that we had not yet arrived so they wound up waiting for 10 minutes at the door until finally walking through the restaurant they found us themselves. Waited 15 minutes at table before anyone came over. Meal for six people took 3 hours! Menus were dirty. Had to ask twice for water. Waiter kept recommending seafood, even though we made it clear we weren't big fans. Ingredients listed in menu did not wind up on the plate. Steaks were overcooked. No sauce or seasoning of any kind on potatoes, green beans, or steak - plate was bone dry. Waiter had difficultly presenting and opening the bottle of wine. Speaker directly over our table made conversation difficult."

"Upon arrival my kids saw a large poster that said, "Tell us how awesome your mother is, and get your kids meal free!" While waiting, we ordered 2 beers that ended up being 1/2 price, so that was nice. When seated we were told we were only able to order the buffet. When we saw that the kids buffet was $13, I was relieved thinking I would not pay nearly $30 for two picky eaters. We also ordered the same beer we got from the bar earlier assuming they were still 1/2 price. As I'm sure you can guess, we were charged full price for the beers (which no one ever explained) and the free kids meals was for a voucher coupon to be used at the next visit. I felt the price difference from the bar to the table and the giant poster was very deceptive."

"The two of us thought we would try Crave for the first time on Mother's Day for brunch. We had a 11:45 reservation and were told that there would be a slight wait. At 12:20 we still weren't seated and were concerned we might miss the start of the Reds game. I finally asked the manager why it was taking so long to be seated and he had no real answer. We ended up having brunch in the bar area. On the bright side the food on the buffet was delicious. So good in fact that we are going back to have dinner in the coming weeks."

"Edamame Cream Cheese Wontons = amazing!
Baked Crab & Artichoke dip = Good, but we thought it would have been better with a cheese blend. Possibly Gouda or something? Still very tasty.
Crab Crusted Filet Mignon = Roasted broccoli would be perfect with this dish, the carrots were just a bit off. Still delicious though. The steak was extremely flavorful - my only slight complaint was that we asked for medium-well (slight pink) and the steaks came out well-done. We didn't complain because they made a flavorful, rich, tasty filet. The service was amazing, I assume he just misheard.

I also come here for lunch and the half chicken, apple & Brie sandwich / Crave salad combination is my favorite.

I look forward to coming back!"

"The brunch buffet was good, the food was readily replaced and kept warm. There was a variety of options for both breakfast and lunch. It was a bit pricy ($25 without drinks included). Our drinks did get taken from our table a couple times when bus boys thought we were done but we were actually at the buffet. "We ordered three appetizers - Shrimp, Calimari, and bread. Shrimp was pretty good, the Calimari was excellent, and bread was poor. We ordered flank stank, crab encrusted steak, and one other (I cannot remember on guest they ordered). The food was WAY pretty poor. All guests agreed. Waited close to 30 minutes for our dessert orders. Two of the desserts (mousse and chocolate cake) were good, one was not (creme broulee). By this point, the servers and manager himself seemed overhwhelmed by the full house. In the end, we spent $250 for four people and the main entree quality was poor. With so many choices on the Banks and in general, I would be hard pressed to give Crave another try. Great location, great atmosphere, but food was poor."

"My family decided to go to Crave for Mothers Day dinner since none of us had been there before. We found the food to be just fair and the service was also just average. My 10 yo son was excited to see sushi rolls on the children's menu but when I asked our waiter if he could have 2 California rolls instead of a Cal. roll and a roll with shrimp, he said he could have just 2 Cal. rolls. They rolls came out with 12 pieces which my son loved, but when I got the bill, the waiter charged us with 2 adult size Cal. rolls. I felt the waiter needed to ask me if I wanted the adult rolls or 2 of the kid size rolls. I asked my sister and her husband if they would return to Crave and they said, no. I agree, I went and once was enough for me."

"We love their regular sunday brunch so we went for mothers day. Their website does not have great functionality and did not indicate it was priced different than every sunday. We spent $89 for 3 including a $10 tip and it was just ok. Theu had a difficult time keeping popular foods replenished. The Reds game was blaring loudly from several tv's which was an odd mothers day atmosphere. Prime ribad turkey were being carved. They were ok. Other foods were some hievos rancheros and other inexpensive mexican dishes. It waso, but not $90 ok. We wont do special occasions there again and will stick to the regular $15 sunday buffet."

"We went to CRAVE for our 5th anniversary dinner. We made reservations via OpenTable and were able to be promptly seated on our arrival. The table we were seated at was wobbly so we informed the hostess. She quickly found us a more suitable table and said that she would inform the manager about the wobbly table.

We were greeted by our waitress for the evening who pointed out the dinner and beverage specialties and gave us helpful recommendations on appetizers and entrees.

We were surprised to see that our food arrived within seven minutes. The appetizers were fantastic and the dinner excellent!

We were planning on desert but realized we were pressed for time for an event beginning shortly. Our waitress quickly boxed our food."

"I went for prom, and I really liked the Artisan bread as an appetizer. It was cheap and really tasty. I got pasta noodles with butter and it just tasted kinda funny. Everyone that worked there was really nice and really wonderful, the food just wasn't really worth what they charged. The best part of the meal was the dessert, and I guess that reflects the cooks, does it not?"

"We decided to go before a Cyclones game. We waited a very long time for a waitress to approach us, but the hostess noticed and called a manager and everything was great from that point on. "This is a great spot for dinner and or group meal. There menu is the perfect amount of "normal" with an upscale twist. We were dining with a few family members that are not as adventurous when it comes to food - there were a lot of comments of what is this? I've never even heard of this? Our waitress was great and answered all the questions about the menu. Needless to say everyone left the table with a smile! We loved the food and i would highly recommend CRAVE to anyone visiting the city."

"All of the food, but especially the sushi and TNT shrimp, was very tasty. The prices were too high for what we got. Esp the TNT shrimp at 12.95. I expected a much bigger portion for sharing at that price. It was a small mound of small shrimp on a bed of rice and coconut. Really about 20 shrimp one size bigger than popcorn shrimp. Really, 12.95?

The restaurant is extremely noisy making carrying on a conversation at a table of six difficult. We were there on a Saturday night right as a Reds game ended, and it was packed."

"The menu is quite diverse and offers some unique options. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers and would highly recommend sharing a few of these with some cocktails (the Crave Pale Ale was delicious). Our meals didn't live up to our expectations and we left feeling like we didn't get our bang for the buck. The sides of 2 meals were cold & burnt diminishing the overall appeal of yummy herb crusted walleye. The mac-n-cheese (recommended) had virtually no cheese and was extremely dry. Our server brought additional béchamel sauce but it did little to add creaminess to the dish. My hubby really enjoyed his jambalaya burger. All in all, we would go back for appetizers & drinks, but would shy away from an actual meal."

"Emily was our server and she made our night! With great recommendations, attentive and positive attitude, and just NICE! It made dining out so relaxing and fun ... it was just what we needed. "Perfect place for an upscale dinner before a baseball game. Kogi beef tacos are delicious, sushi boat was very good, grilled salmon salad was just OK - lacked sear or grill marks on the fish, which was quite fatty-tasting, possibly not as fresh as it should have been, and surprisingly underseasoned. "The calamari was excellent, fresh and light with a wonderful sauce. The side salads were good but nothing special. The sea bass was fantastic, expensive but worth every penny. It melted in my mouth. I've only had it taste this good once before (at Germano's) The ribeye was good but didn't appear to have any seasoning at all. It was a wonderful cut of meat but could have used a little enhancement. Oddly there weren't salt or pepper shakers on any of the tables and we would have liked them for the salad and steak. We were't offered fresh ground pepper on our salad either. The creme brulee was excellent but at that point I was stuffed."

"The TNT shrimp was by far the best thing we had - it was amazing. The caesar salad had a nice presentation - house made croutons were good. The sushi boat was more expensive than it should have been and the pieces of fish were very small compared to the giant chunks of rice they were on. Some of the rolls just tasted bland. The pork chop was OK, the potato cake it came on was a little soggy and not very tasty. The Mediterranean plate was something I was looking forward to but it was mediocre at best. The olive tapenade was plain and tasteless. I would go back and try a few different things and definitely have the TNT Shrimp again."

"CRAVE is an OK place to eat, but it has nothing special going for it. The food is OK, the service was OK, the interior was OK. The biggest complaint is that for the price, I would expect things to be better than OK. There are better places to eat in Cincinnati, that give a better value for your dollar (though they are all asking for higher amounts). Maybe if you sit outside and can people watch, you won't notice the mediocrity of the restaurant."

"If you are looking for a great place to kick back after a long day at work, CRAVE is the place. They have a nice beer selection and some unique mixed drinks - and great Happy Hour prices. Even better, their 1/2 price HH appetizer menu is fantasitic! The flatbreads and tacos are my favorites, and at those prices, you can order one of everything to sample and share. You can pay a lot more for worse food, drinks and service just around the corner, but why would you do that??"

"Our evening started out nice, but progressively got worse. We had drinks at the bar which was very nice. Then we were seated at the worst table right by the door in a corner. I faced the door and her faced the WALL! Not each other... not how we wanted to spend our romantic night! The service was not good. We finally ordered and shortly were told they were out of bread, and then the waiter ran off. Instead of offering us another appetizer or a salad. Our food came out and was DELICIOUS!! I would recommend going for dinner on the food alone. Dessert was tastey but not great. We ordered the smore brownie and the brownie was cool, not warm! This really affected the dessert! Overall this was not the romantic dinner I was wanting:("
