"Their Churrasco Steak is really very good. This is an above average tier 2 restaurant. There are better restaurants and steak in Houston, but they are significantly more expensive.

The Gaucho Prix Fixe menu is a relative bargain for the high quality."

"The food was wonderful, as we have always experienced. We had asked for a room to the side since we had come from out of town and was meeting friends that we hadn't seen in a long time. The were gracious enough to accomodate our request. The room was quiet and we were able to really talk and catch up on our lives. We were the only party in the room but the room was ice cold and we were all shivering. Three times we asked to have the air conditioning fixed a bit to make the room warmer. It would be ok for about 5 minutes then it would go back on again and we were shivering again. We couldn't understand why we couldn't have it comfortable while there. It was early March, not even Spring yet."

"For a Restaurant like Churrasco's it was frustrating to come in and have a long line to check in only to get a number and wait some more. However the turn around time was not horrible. The worst part was being sat down in a tiny table for two that was obviously thrown together in an effort to sit more people as there was bearly room to move and the plates did not even fit in. Because of this, the sorounding was extremely noisy and not romatic at all. I will not go to Churrasco's for Valentines Day again and I would discorage anyone else from going on this date."

"I just believe we got a bad waiter or a new one. My wife has a heavy accent,so when she wanted to know about what wine to try, the waiter just pointed to the wine list and said "Here is the wine list" and then left, I think he thought she didn’t speak English, but 5 min later another waiter came over and spoke to her in Spanish and then made some suggestions,after that we only saw our original waiter 3 times:took our order(never presented the specials for the night)asked if we needed a to-go box and drop off/pick-up the check(which I had to ask for). I don’t count the time he just dropped off the dessert menus and left. This in no way will keep me from eating there again(after alerting the mgr to this)our first time before was exceptional."

"Churrascos is my favorite place to go when i want quality steak in a great environment. The wait staff is generally amiable and very helpful. Unfortunately, I received none of these amenities since my date and I had to wait an hour for our table even after we confirmed our reservations. There were about 20-30 people with the same problem. I would suggest this restaurant to just about everyone but not on Valentine's day or any other weekend. Perhaps next time they can refine their reservation system so as to not disappoint patrons."

"This one is hard because we went Sat before Valentines. We had reservations, but they made us stand in a long...out the door...line! They weren't taking the names and letting you go to the bar, so we just told them we would be there. They never even checked on us or called our name. Luckily, the bartender just grabbed us a table and said to sit down. He was our waiter and the service was great, as well as, the food!! Oh, and you must have the Tres Leches and the Churrascos steak!!"

"I'm not quite sure what they call "making a reservation". Showed up at 6:45 for a 7:00 reservation and had to stand in line for 40 minutes to get to the host. Then was given a number 25 and told to wait. To my surprise they were just seating number 5. Ended up going home and ordering pizza hut. Definitely not pleased with the experience. Looks like another greedy restaurant taking more reservations then they could handle."

"Even though I made reservations well in advance for 7:30pm and we got a confirmation call that afternoon, we were seated around 9pm. The restaurant was extremely packed and even though you had a reservation you still had to wait in line to give a name for reservations; I think they overbooked. Because of the overcrowding, we were given the smallest table available and were left to sit for a good 15 minutes before our waiter looked out way. Finally, able to rinse out palette with some water and a menu in hand we are left for another half hour, drinks came with the food. I honestly only saw out waited maybe twice and asked for more to drink every time and it never came(ended up stopping by a gas station for a soda when we left, how ROMANTIC!)"

"Everything was great but on Valentines Day I was hoping to have a quiet romantic dinner, but with the way the little tables where scrunched together I felt like we were eatting with a big group of people. The little boy next to me was so loud, and the table behind us did nothing but stare and make fun of basically everyone within eyeshot. It was hard to concentrate on each other being so close to other tables."

"The food and service were impeccable as always. The only complaint I had, and it was my own fault for not checking, was they were having a Sunday brunch and so people were milling around quite a bit. We went for a nice quiet Valentine ’s Day meal so the brunch was a bit noisy and distracting. But as I stated, I don’t blame the restaurant."

"We had a 7:15 reservation, and they even called me to confirm. We did not get seated until almost 9:00. It was Valentine's eve, but why take reservations if you can't honor them? They obviously overbooked and were defenitely understaffed. The almost 2 hour wait would have been OK had we been able to get a drink. The bartender was really good at ignoring everyone."

"My husband and I attempted to celebrate our 9th Wedding Anniversary back on January 23rd. And I say "attempted" because it ended up being a fiasco... wrong choice. However, we gave it another chance and decided to go to our favorite place: Churrasco's. BEST CHOICE!!! Our server Jesse was unbelievably wonderful, he made sure we had a great time, so he gave us amazing sevice and made our experience even better. I have worked in the service industry for years, and I have to admit that there are very little great servers left out there, Jesse deserves recognition. The food was delicious, of course! The place is beautiful....thank you!!! We will be back very soon!"

"Dined at Churrasco's Westchase for New Year's Eve & it was outstanding! The waiters provided excellent service and the pre-set menu was trios of deliciousness! When deciding what restaurant to choose for this special occasion I called around and realized the cost was reasonable and got more bang for our buck! Perry's Steakhouse was offering 3 course meal (no dessert) for $75 while Churrasco's offered 4 course meal with champagne toast for $10 less! The ambience was very festive and we absolutely loved the fact that the main entree as well as the dessert were served as combinations of their best! The entree was steak, lobster tail & fish with a large side order of grilled veggies. The dessert was tres leches, bread pudding & chocolate cake!"

"The food was delicious, as always, and the portions were good as well. We had the Churrasco's Puntas and the meat was tender and cooked as we requested. The waiter was attentive and took our order promptly, he brought everything just as ordered. We will go back as we have never been served a bad meal here. You get a lot of food for your money and the wine prices are reasonable as well."

"Our 1st visit to Churrasco's on New Year's Eve was wonderful. They were out of the appitizer we wanted to try but, being a holiday, we completely understood. Our waiter was very curteous and helpful and we loved our meal. Will go back again!

"We normally go to Churrascos once every two months on average. The food is always well received for its quality and quantity and the service is good. On our most recent visit this December for my wife's birthday, the food was again stellar in its taste, the only difficulty was that the entree's side dishes where uneven in their seasoning and most egregious that they were not properly heated. On more than one of our dishes the sides were cold to lukewarm. Overall the restaurant is a true Houston gem and should be forgiven the minor transgressions that occurs occasionally."

"Two of our three couples had not eaten at Churrascos before. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The Churrascos steak is a much thinner cut than at a high end steakhouse. The fish dishes were excellent on this visit. Our waiter suggested a nice Malbec."

"We have enjoyed Churrascos for many years. The specialty is the "Churrasco," which is a beef tenderloin that is carved perpendicular to the usual filet mignon, which increases the tenderness. It is marinated in a chimmichurri sauce, a blend of olive oil, parsley, oregano, and garlic. The chimmichurri is also served as a dip with fried plantains. Unfortunately, on this most recent visit, our entire group ordered seafood dishes, which were just OK. We should have known to stay with the restaurant's strength, which is the Churrasco. Of our six dishes, two were not quite what we ordered, and we discovered later that they also charged us for an extra margarita. These mistakes are not typical, as Churrascos usually has excellent service."

"Churrasco's never disappoints. The food is consistently very good, service is consistently good, sometimes better - depending on your wait staff. Although one tendes to steer towards the beef, the other dishes are very well prepared, all with a different twist on the usual. Desserts? Well then is the one and only tres leches. The BEST in town. Thier sangria is alos one of the best in town. It tneds to be on the drier side, I like it sweeter...just a matter of asking."
