The legendary Malibu Inn, an iconic beachside restaurant, bar and live entertainment venue, restores its position as Malibu's most beloved watering hole offering great food, fun cocktails and live entertainment in a backdrop honoring its rich history.
Established in 1920, the Malibu Inn was known as Malibu's chosen watering hole and host to Hollywood royalty including, Harold Lloyd and Gloria Swanson. In 1951, the Malibu Inn was moved eastward to its present location across from the Malibu pier on Pacific Coast Highway. Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Young owned the restaurant at one time and his musical influence transformed the Malibu Inn, combining its notoriety as a place for great food, with a live entertainment venue that featured some of music's most recognized performers including Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and Kid Rock.
"My fiance and I went to see Mickey Avalon. Got there a bit early to eat and have some drinks! We had such and amazing time!!! We don't get out to much for date nights since we have a 3 year old. So glad we picked here to eat and drink. Service was great, and so was the food and drinks! We will be back for sure!!!!!"

"This place tries to be 1930's & 40's style [dark paneling and head shots of famous people on the walls] but the result is the impression that you are in a large, dingy cave. The host was very accommodating to our request for a table with a view. The service was acceptable. My wife's fish tacos were barely tolerable....the soft taco shells were thick and unappetizing. My grilled salmon was fine, but the accompanying vegetables were only tolerable. The rice was bland [probably Uncle Ben's out of a boiling bag] and the asparagus was chewy. It looks like a surfers joint with its huge bar, poor lighting and cheap looking furniture. It may have merited the description "world famous" in the past but now it has nothing to recommend it. I"

"We actually went here to hear the band, Captain Cardiac. We went early for dinner. I remember eating here years ago when the food and service were good. I was disappointed. Poor service, no set ups, out of items and sadly, very empty for a Saturday night. Now I know why. Our waitress was a great dancer and the band was great."
