"Easy to make reservations online at any time. We were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly. We had dined at The Cellar at dinner and the ambience was distinctly romantic. Sunday lunch is served family style and is comfortable and friendly. Food was great and even managed to get the family recipe for the Pineapple dessert. Would definitely go back for any special occasion."

"I have noticed advertisements for The Cellar for several months. I suggested it to friends for a birthday dinner and I am happy to report that everyone was happy with my suggestion. Members of our party ordered steak, fish, and lamb burgers and everyone was very pleased with their selections. I ordered the steak which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also were surprised and EXTREMELy pleased with the live music. i didn't love my margarita, but other than that, I was extremely pleased with the entire dining experience."

"Very nice, small and quaint location. Fills up and gets loud very quickly. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. Ribeye steak was awazing, cooked perfectly. The porterhouse chop, not so amazing. Presentation for both, amazing, we waited over 40 minutes for our meal, which wasn't a problem, but the fact the chop was cold was a problem. The manager apologized for the time lapse but nothing made up for the food being cold."

"I wish the bad points didn't override the good because the steaks were fantastic & our waiter was great...But...we order mussels & there were only 8 (this was the smallest order of mussels I have ever seen),the live music was nice but we could hardly hear each other speak or what the waiter was saying for that matter, the girl that was running the food out needed additional training on how to properly serve food at a table, taking empty plates away to make room for the new things being brought out & she needed an attitude adjustment because she acted like we were bothering her with the delivery of the food. The steaks were great so we might give it another try on a night without the music & hopefully the food runner will be in a better mood."

"We happened upon The Cellar on a cool, rainy Saturday evening, and it found it to be a wonderful retreat. In addition to great food and wine, the servers were personable and attentive, and the timing was near perfect. The entrees arrived just as we were finishing our salads, not too soon as to make us feel rushed, not too late as if the kitchen had lost our order. The decor is rustic-beautiful, and we felt it was a lovely, cozy, spur-of-the-moment dining choice. We will definitely return."

"My wifes filet was outstanding. My ribeye was marginal to be kind. I have had much better at the steakhouse chains. It was edible and to be honest I did not complain. The way I look at this is if you call yourself a steak and chophouse you better have your act together. They did not. I was out for a special evening with my wife and arguing about food was not what I had in mind."

"It was our first visit. We had heard some mixed reviews from friends. The steaks were excellent. The salads were fine as were the conch fritters. The lobster bisque was ok but could have used some sherry or other finishing. We had the apple crisp that came in a very hot plate but the apples were still cold. Decent wine list.
Overall it was a very good meal. The food could use a few more touches. It is a great find in a small town like Newnan."

"The lobster bisque was warm, at best. Skimpy portions. Desserts were disappointing and very small. Tight space - Very noisy and too many people in such a small space. Service was ok."

"Went to The Cellar on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner. We had a great time. I had the coriander encrusted pork tenderloin (it was the special) with mashed potatoes and it was wonderful. My husband got a filet and he said it was just "o.k." The caeser salad was very good and the bread was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"I love this place!!! It's "my choice" for date night. The food is amazing!!!! The atmosphere is almost perfect...not quiet as warm as I like the temperature to be, so dress warmly on cold nights."

"This was our 3rd time eating here. The bottom line is the food was OK at best, but the service was terrible. In fact, my fiancée looked at me and said it was the worst service we had ever had. I believe an average meal with great service can be a great experience, but a great tasting meal with terrible service will always be a poor experience. In this case, the food was slightly better than the service but that isn't saying too much."

"The Cellar Newnan ... is a gem that I would recommend for adult dining! We were visiting from out of town and celebrating a birthday on Sat 16-Feb-2013... steak selection was awesome! My steak was one of the best filets I have ever eaten! The service was a little slow in beginning... took awhile to get bread, drink order. If any complaint is that there was not a larger serving of the collard greens, as they were so delicious! Ambiance was just delightful, as is the entire town of Newnan. Will definitely be going back when we visit again."

"I took my husband here for Valentines day and it was wonderful. I ordered the Angus Ribeye, and the chef cooked the much bigger, more expensive steak, but sent it out so my meal and my husbands could come out together. I was not charged for this mistake and it was delicious. Best conch fritters I have ever eaten!! My husband had the elk burger and homemade onion rings. It was all amazing! We will definitely dine here again. Wine list was diverse and had many options available."

"A wider by the glass wine selection would be great. It would also be nice to have a wild rice option (instead of just white rice) for people who don't do potatoes! My salmon was dry so that could have been better. The bread was great."

"We visited The Cellar for Valentine's Day but this was not our first visit. As was with the previous visit the food was great and the service was even better. It is a pleasure to dine out when both those combinations are in line. I would highly recommened The Cellar to anyone looking for a great restaurant and an enjoyable experiance in Newnan, GA."

"This is one of the nicer places to eat in Newnan but it still felt very over-priced. The food was nothing special and the atmosphere was just ok. Our waitress was very nice and service was pretty good, although it took about an hour for our entrees to arrive."

"What a great find in a quaint Southern town! Service was exceptional; pleasant, efficient, respectful and, quick could all be used to describe our waiter. Menu choices were varied but not overwhelming. Preparation of the grilled items done to perfection. Very good salad to start off too. The main dining area could use some redecorating and felt a bit like a "diner" would be the only negative I could mention. We will dine there again without hesitation."

"While I am not a food critic, I will say that I know good food when I see and taste it. My wife and I ordered very different meals, she took a risk, while I tried to stay safe. She did not like the Kangaroo Burger. She said the meat was good but everything else about the burger was horrible. I ordered the Kabobs. They were not good. The chicken was tough and dry, as was the beef. The Shrimp was ok but nothing to write home about. Over all, the only thing going for this place was the Ambiance. It was really nice and would be a great place for a romantic dinner, if you could eat good food at the same time."

"Been hearing buzz about the Cellar and wanted to try it out. Atmosphere at the beginnning of our dining experience was nice, there were about six other tables seated so it was fairly quiet. That changed quickly when they brought out a high-chair and sat it right next to our table. The rest of our night was spent listening to a 2 year old scream and watching and listening to Finding Nemo on the DVD player set on table. Small children sometimes act up in restaurants, but when they seated this family there were plenty of tables away from others enjoying their experiences, We both had steaks and a bottle of wine each with a side order."
