"Visited on Mothers day, it was a bit disorganized. Difficult to get service at our table, it was a buffet but hard to get service at our table for our drink order, etc. (There was a whole pig on display at the buffet, it bit of a shocker for the younger kids.)"

"Service is excellence and the food is outstanding. What I don't like is with Open Table. If you book a restaurant through Open Table you get the dining points, yet if you book it on the restaurant website, even though it directs you to Open Table, you don't get the points. I found this out after losing out on a lot of points by booking on the restaurant website. This is bad practice by Open Table. Learned my lesson."

"Dined here with a party of 4 for Mothers Day. Our server Pedro was awesome! So friendly, yet professional and efficient. His flaming dessert for the Mother was very nice. The sea bass special was perfectly prepared and great tasting and the portion very large. The Churrasco steaks we had and the plantain crusted shrimp were also prepared as ordered and were seasoned nicely and arrived hot from the grill. Thank you for another great dinner service."

"I went for Monther's day brunch and we had to waity a bit probably 15 min after our reservation time. The food was good but the line was long the the place was a bit noisy and crowded. I've been to the resturant on other occasions and that has'nt been the case."

"Mother's Day brunch outing. Food was very good. Limited selection of food actually is a plus because all items were very good. I especially loved the french toast and want to know the recipe! Service was excellent despite the fact that staff seemed a bit overwhelmed because of people that showed up without reservations.
Didn't give five stars because it took more than acceptable time to replace food that ran out on the buffet line. They ran out of beef tenderloin, and it took about 30 minutes to replenish. They ran out of rice and it also took 30 minutes to replenish. They kept running out of cups for the lobster bisque.
It was a nice outing overall. Will return."

"We ate early and really enjoyed the slow pace (this is what we wanted) and the delicious food (steaks for the girls, fish for the boys). We ate all our vegetables, too, except for a couple of pieces. Everything was very nicely prepared and tasty. Easy to find a great wine, even by the glass."

"Visit was for the River Oaks location. The restaurant is a nice, quite place to enjoy dinner with a group of friends and family, or for a romantic evening out. I have been to this location several times and I have never gone away disappointed with the food or the service. The Pollo Encamisado is fantastic. "Due to traffic we were 10 minutes late to the reservation but the hostess was very kind and had held our table.
The meal was very good, the Sierena (plaintian encrusted shrimp) was delicious, very unique. The service was a bit slow, but the waiter was very accomodating when asked to substitute vegetables for the french fries. As always the steak was outstanding, almost able to cut with a fork!"

If we only were able to dine at one restaurant in Houston Churrascos, especially for their monthly wine dinner, would be the one. The service is personable and knowledgeable. "We originally had signed up for the Mardigras/Valentines day promotion they were having at Americas Restaurant. The offer was $25 for the event with a $20 dining certificate. We made dinner reservations the same day of the event. It was quite dissapointing and a bit misleading because we could not use the certificate that day. We were not impressed with the bland food at Americas so we decided to use it at Churrascos. Well we were further dissapointed because in order to use the certificate you had to purchase 2 entres. Ultimately, tried the fish and the shrimp and it was so salty and no specific taste. The food was NOT good. I could not finishing it. My friend ordered Steak and each time they overcooked it. This is Churrascos!? Skip it."

"If you are looking for an outstanding steak, this is the place for you! I'm not sure I ever order anything else but steak because they know how to cook them the way you order them. Always tender, always juicy, and always perfectly the way I want it! It is a great place to go if you want to have an intimate evening and be able to talk and hear each other above the din. If it's medical advice you seek, this seems to be a big hangout for the medical community. The food must be healthy! The staff is always first rate and our waiter did not disappoint."

"This is a very cozy place, for lunch or dinner with the family, quiet. Are characterized by a excellent attention and innovative presentations of their dishes. The food was very tasty, in special we can recommend the seafood and fish. We also tried their famous Churrasco, but that was a little disappointing, in terms of quality and preparation, but everything else, appetizers, main dishes (fish or seafood) and desserts were good. The coffee was delicious, say that they bring to Nicaragua the herbal tea also very rich."

"Churrascoes certainly lived up to it's Zagat guide rating! The food was delicious, (we came in Sunday for brunch) the wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance and decor was certainly upscale. These combinations made the visit for three definitely worth the price. I would RSVP here again!"

"The restaurant is fairly comfortable but can get a little noisy and the ambience is definitely shopping mall. The food we sampled was mostly very good, including the beef empanada and the fried calamari taquito. My husband didn't enjoy the black bean soup because he found the bread bowl it was served in difficult to eat. We both had the churrasco, mine was perfect medium rare and delicious. The tre leches cake is as good as everyone says, a definite recommend. Our server,Pedro, was very good."

"This is my favorite restaurant. It is my fall back for special occasions. I love the food. I think it is getting a bit to expensive for regular weekly dinning. If prices were 20% lower we would probably week every 1-2 weeks!"

"The food was tasty but the downside was the location of our table. My husband and I had a date night and really did not appreciate having a table right next to us. By that, I mean really close, it felt like we were having dinner with the couple next to us. Not too romantic. Besides that, the food was delicious and the service was great."

"Churrascos has the best South American style ceviche in town! Ceviche is served in half of pinapple and it is large enough for two to share. Their wine is list is not extensive but it contains a good and great selection of Argentinian and California wines. I felt in love again with Churrascos after visiting several loud and hectic steaks places in the City. Churrascos is elegant. The food and service are great!This is the perfect spot to enjoy a good steak and wine on a Sunday or late Saturday, without the hassle of waiting 20 minutes to be seating or standing in line for valet parking to park or get your car. The original menu changed, they added more choices and includes more side orders with the churrascos which is great!"

"The food was extremely salty. I mean McDonald's sausage patty salty. Where you need to wash your mouth out with drink to get it to go away. The fish was almost unedible. They did fix it once asked to replace the dishes, but for 250$(3people) we shouldn't have had to replace it in the first place.
Order the Tres Leches if you like créme, caramel, créme brûlée, or anything sweet and creamy. It's fantastic! :)"
