Owned and operated by the Orioli family, Via Emilia Restaurant feature Northern Italian cuisine in an elegant, romantic setting. All dishes are prepared from recipes handed down through the generations, using only the highest quality ingredients. Menu highlights include home-made pastas, traditional Italian appetizers, fresh fish and flavorful meats. An extensive wine list and full bar await your arrival.
"The food is good but a bit pricey. The ambience and service are excellent. However, I wish their eggplant dishes were less heavy and lighter on the cheese. I love eggplant, but I won't order it there again. It is way to heavy and not very flavorful - just cheese and tomato sauce. Probably my biggest issue is with the bread. An Italian restaurant should have great bread. The bread here is just not worth the calories. It has no substance - like basic white bread with a slightly crispier crust. It is usually the first thing you have when you eat there - it should be memorable - and not in a bad way."

"This is only the second time I have been to the restaurant since Via Emilia's expanded. I had a nice quiet spot for myself and my dinner guest. We each had an individual glass of wine, a nice appetizer and main course and these huge servings of lemon sorbet for dessert. A very nice evening, with attentive service and great atmosphere for catching up with a friend."

"I love this place. I am never rushed out. I am always greeted w/ a smile and usually by name. Whether I order a salad or shrimp, I am treated as if I have been of service to the restaurant. Every waiter is knowledgeable and glad to suggest items for your tasting pleasure."

"Had the amazing pork shank. Delicious! Great recommendation by waiter. Also experienced the off the menu cheese and pear appetizer. Another great find. Wish it included more than 2 pecans..."

"Restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, we made the mistake of not making reservations this time. We waited in the bar & had some drinks. The bar is huge, great place to just relax and have a couple drinks and appetizers.
Everything was excellent. Some of the best food I've had in The Woodlands."

"We recently celebrated our anniversary here and had an amazing experience. The restaurant was packed so that was a good sign. I ordered the Osso Buco, excellent--mentioned to the waiter it was the best Osso Buco I ever had, My wife had the braised pork shank, great presentation, she commented that it looked beautiful and tasted that way too."

"Enjoyed a pleasant Easter lunch. Service was harried with the holiday crowd but ok. The food was not as good as on previous visits. A number of our dishes were excessively salted. We advised the waiter and he said he consulted with the kitchen and the chef advised that the saltiness was natural to the foods and none had been added. A poor explanation and dishonest explanation. Still a friendly family place."

"I love how Via Emilia treats single diners. Hubby can't always come. I am always made to feel welcome. I had shrimp on my linguini pesto today. Very nice and plentiful. They do not skimp on portions here."

"Yes - I come here a lot. Love the staff, the music, the distance between the tables is good. See my other reviews about the food. Many favorites here."

"Great food with many choices. The appetizer special "gorgonzola pear" was delicious. The salads shine with the flavorful dressings. We had seabass and a cabrito special. Both were very good - the seabass is some of the best around. Don't miss out on the Tiramisu (and it's big enough to share)
We were seated in a semi-private room in the back. It is beautifully decorated. At first we were delighted, but as the night went on and all the tables got filled, we felt a bit cramped. Next time, we'll ask for the main room which has lovely high ceilings and custom painted walls.
We found the price of the cabrito special very high."

"Busy tonight but I managed to get in. I never feel rushed or forgotten here. They treat everyone like family and know the names of many customers. I love the San Antonio waiter and also the male greeter. Both make you feel very glad you came."

"We always enjoy it here. I was not a fan of the short rib BBQ tonight but my husband loved it. I much prefer the snapper - but it was his night out so we will go with his review of the entree :-) The avocado salad is smashing."

"Always love this place. The waiters are helpful, courteous and friendly. The last two times check in was much more friendly as opposed to the lady previously with no smile or personality or words. The french onion soup is my favorite. Salads are fresh, pasta delicious. Special dessert - lemon cello - amazing."
