"My wife and I stayed at the Jhouse for two nights and had dinner one evening at eleven14. Both our dinners were far above what you would expect inside a hotel. Interesting menu with interesting flavors. We don't live nearby but you could go out for dinner here and be very pleased with the whole experience. Service is warm and friendly as well."

"My husband and I wanted a date night out and decided to try something new. We randomly chose eleven 14 and were SO happy we did! It was so fun, romantic and delicious! We are new parents so it was such a treat to be out to begin with let alone at such a surprisingly cool spot. The decor is fabulous as is the menu. By far though, my favorite part was the cookie platter for dessert.
We are definitely planning to go back!"

"After reading past reviews -concerned about making a reservation here.
We had a lovely hotel room for the weekend and wanted to enjoy the restaurant .I have to say we had a fantastic experience.
They serve very good cocktails - the margarita was very good made fresh no mix !
We ordered the fried calamari and rock shrimp appetizer, different from norm with added rock shrimp, very good! We both had pasta entrées-delicious,one with lobster one that was veal rigatoni.
Beautiful decor for indoor dining -we were seated outdoors and just beautiful.
If you're in this area-perfect for outdoor dining in Spring and Summer. There's a beautiful bar area - very comfortable couch seating areas. Outdoor heaters too if it gets chilly, really lovely!"

"Went for Saturday morning brunch for my daughters birthday with grandparents. Only one other table was there. Took forever to get food. They got my daughter's order wrong. When they did bring out the correct dish for her - brioche french toast- they brought it without its accompanying chantilly cream. Service was abysmal. Waiter seemed to have trouble with the English language. Bus boys spoke no English at all."

"First time in my life I left no tip. The most poorly trained waitress who did not listen, did not pay attention to us and frankly ruined the experience. Quiet lunch periods should not cause the restaurant to fall apart."

"While the food was outstanding (beet & burrata app, shrimp and crab stack app, veg lasagna and dover sole entrees) the evening was marred by horrendous service. From start to finish, we waited inexcusably long times- to order, to get our drinks, etc. The gentleman at the table next to us was inquiring where his dinner was as the rest of his party was finishing! If this is a kitchen problem they need to fix it fast. While the food would have brought us back, the service will absolutely keep us away.
The manager did come by after I complained about the shockingly high charge for the dover sole on the bill (listed as m.p.); as we had not been forewarned by the waiter when we ordered, he reduced the charge, which was much appreciated."

"The setting is modern and bright with plenty of room around the tables so you aren't too close. There are also large booths which look inviting. The real story is the food--the presentation is wonderful and inventive but it's the taste, the flavors of the food that astound. It was an i-wish-i-could-lick-this-plate-clean kind of moment for the homemade ravioli with braised beef. Dessert was a special because it's not on the online menu--a homemade chocolate pudding topped with cream and that was topped with homemade popcorn with caramel and sea salt. The service was beyond poor unfortunatley--I hope that gets fixed because I can't wait to go again and try something else."

"We had a nice night at 11/14. Easy to hear each other in this posh and refined room. The food was very good, the Lobster Thermador Empanadas were excellent to start. Overall a very nice dinner. "I toook my wife to Eleven14 for her birthday and we had a very nice time. The food and energy was perfect. Even our after dinner drink at the fireplace was nice (I got to catch some basketball too at that moment). However, the only thing that made this a very good experience versus excellent was the service. We sat down and waited 10 mins between them pouring some water and asking if we needed a drink. The waiter rarely checked on us during dinner and then forgot our coffee with desert. The dining manager made up for it by coming by but they should inform the waitstaff that it is ok to see your table occassionally and bring drinks in a timely manner."

"Love going here but it is never perfect - and could be with a few simple changes. Service is very pleasant - but it takes forever and they don't seem to have learned with experience. We were there for brunch yesterday, and after the usual extended wait, I was served a lukewarm (almost cool) crab cake. Everything else was as it should have been and the food is good but these issues have been consistent with every visit. Time to make it better!"

"This was our first time. The food was exceptional. I am still talking about it. Went with a girlfriend but cannot go to back with my husband. They have a great outdoors during the warmer months. As per the waiter they get very busy on the weekends. During the summer they have a D.J. and at present they have jazz music. Prices of wine are a little on the high side. Manhattan prices. $15 - $18 a glass. A little steep.

"We chose eleven14 during Eating Greenwich/Port Chester week. It has received many positive reviews in the media but my husband and I found it to be too cavernous, too masculine, too "hot spoty", too much resembling a hotel dining room. The fireplaces altho huge were strangely "cold". Bar wss very busy as it is reputed to be a meeting place for singles. Lighting was poorly placed with overhead spots directed on diners' heads. Food selections were just OK altho my husband's blue cheese fondue was good as was our monk fish with kale. THe chocolate molten cake just average. Our first and last time there."

"The food is good but not as good as l'escale where the chef came from. The service was good but very quick I felt. Was there the day before valentine's day and felt rush through our dinner although our reservation was for 7:30. We were done with appetizer, main course and desert in less than an hour and the place was relatively empty."

"My expectation were high as I had heard so many good things and never could get a reservation until after 9pm but was a little disappointed. It felt like I was in a Hotel restaurant. We had a couple of appetizers and 5 drinks (3 glasses of wine and 2 vodka drinks). The drinks alone were $68. My impression is that the bar is a scene and in the spring, summer and fall the outdoor scene is spectacular. However, we were there. Feb 15, dead of winter. There was an acoustical band by the bar which was great. Think next time we'll pass on the restaurant and hang out at the bar."

"All the elements were there for a beautiful Valentine's dinner - candy hearts on the table, chocolate favors at the end of the evening. Service was good once we got started, but it took fifteen minutes (literally) to get a pre-dinner cocktail, which was made more frustrating by seeing staff standing on the sidelines. After that, things were somewhat rushed in order to get us out on time for the next seating. Limited fixed price menu for the holiday, but good choices. Poached lobster appetizer with sweet potato gnocchi was excellent, as were the fish entrees. Portions a bit small for the price but definitely satisfying, and I prefer quality over quantity any time."

"The space is very pleasing architecturally. It is quite open, yet with interesting spacing for the tables. The appointments are modern and quite creative. The wait staff was very pleasant and efficient. Almost to a fault, as we were in and out in an hour and 15 mins. The food is also creative and generally was done well. The portions are modest, so if you are looking to get stuffed, this is not for you. My main course vegetables, however, were at room temperature which the staff quickly took care of. But, in a place that is properly considered as fine dining, that probably should not have happened. Overall a nice place. Best to go when busy or else it may come across as merely a restaurant off a hotel lobby."

"They took great care of us on V day. The entertainment, Kelly's Music, was great and perfect for the setting and occasion. The decor of this restaurant is contemporary, but is still warm and inviting."

"My husband and I celebrated our Anniversay at this wonderful restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is friendly & professional . The restaurant is sophisticated and quite pretty. We live in Queens, NY, and we were happy to make the trip to this special place. This is our 2nd visit to the restaurant and the hotel, and we plan on returning in the near future."

"Great dinner. From the apps to the dinner and dessert, everything was delicious. The price is pretty high, but well worth it. The Tuna steak I had for dinner was melt in your mouth sashimi quality. Very pleased with the entire experience. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Grat night out with a girlfriend."

"A truly fine restaurant. Very attentive and knowledgeable service. Great specials and wine list. Atmosphere although a very high end restaurant was not snooty or overly formal. Very relaxed place. We even met Chef Francois. From the valet parking to beautiful chic decor fine food the one of the best restaurants anywhere."
