Noorish Conscious Eatery
We present to you our version of inspired living: An organic vegetarian eatery, super food elixir bar, teaching kitchen, retail store and yoga/meditation studio. Each aspect of Noorish is designed to stimulate the senses, inspire the mind and awaken the spirit! The Noorish Eatery features a menu that includes a variety of organic, local, raw, vegan and gluten‐free options bursting with flavor and nutrition. The Elixir bar is designed to inspire a new way of getting high on life through our carefully crafted tonics, elixirs, fresh juices and organic teas, loaded with vitality!
In our kitchen, we hand-make almost every ingredient from scratch, including our soup stock, our dressings and our flatbreads. We also ensure almost nothing goes to waste. We share our vegetable scraps with llamas, chickens and bunny rabbits at the Lak'ech EcoLodge and Ranch. We try to purchase as local as possible and support many of Edmonton and surrounding area businesses .

"We made a reservation for dinner before a concert. The serving staff was excellent and aware of our time lines, friendly, and obviously experienced wait staff. The food was . . . very different for me . . . tasty though. The green drink tasted great! The atmosphere had a great community feel, efficient, cheerful and friendly. I would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone looking to eat healthier. If I lived in Edmonton, I would definitely come back numerous times to try different items on the menu."

"I love everything about Noorish. The Bodhi Tree Burger is my current favorite. The service is a bit relaxed but I enjoy that as well. If you are adventurous and enjoy excellent vegan food this is the place to be. Parking can be a challenge. Patience is a virtue!"

"Had a great time at the restaurant. The food was amazing, and you will be hard pressed to find anything else like it in the city. Literally, probably the most assessable and accommodating place to eat at in Edmonton if you have any sort of vegetarian /vegan preference, and are sensitive to wheat/gluten.
If I was ever back in the City I would eat here again, and try to attend a yoga class that takes place in the basement!"

"I have eaten here before and overall the menu was great. However I had the Arugala salad with marinated mushrooms and it was drenched in dressing. I couldn't wave down the waitress to ask for more lettuce, after several attempts. And this was the second problem with service that night with the same blond waitress.
I wasn't able to eat my meal, never mind enjoy it and when we asked for an extra minute to look at our menus she gave us over 20 minutes. I had to physically get up and tell her we were ready to order because we were on a time line.
My guest that evening was experiencing Noorish for the first time and did not leave with an overall great impression because of poor service.

"Being a vegetarian, but new to the vegan/raw food scene - I was very pleasantly surprised at how tasty this food was! We had the samadhi sliders with the onion rings, and mystical mandala pizza with vegan caesar salad. Everything was delicious! The service was good (although we were late for our reservation and the hostess was a bit scolding) but our server was most helpful and we followed her recommendation to choose the raw over the cooked pizza (great choice). We did have a very garlicky aftertaste in our mouths for the remainder of the evening - and even into the next day! However, I do recall seeing a menu item that featured "no garlic or onions". We both agreed that we would definitely go back to this restaurant!"

"Found the food to be excellent, well seasoned, perfectly spiced, delicious all around. Very interesting and diverse menu, can't wait to return and try more items. Only miff was the service, it was friendly but extremely slow and relaxed to the point of carelessness, like took over 10 minutes just to get acknowledged by our server and equally that much time again just to get my glass of wine. So ration that glass of water with dinner because a refill is unlikely. Then again, maybe we're meant to be in such a state of nirvana while eating there that all those cares of the normal dining world disappear. In that case, make sure you aren't trying to catch a movie after dinner and enjoy the food!"

"I have been to Noorish at least 4 times. The food quality is excellent and unique for Edmonton. However, the last time I went I was extremely displeased with the service. The Server was nice but spent a good chunk of her time talking to friends - staff or patrons. Our drink order arrived when we were finishing our meal which was also very delayed. When I asked about the drinks she said they were just "slammed". Didn't look slammed to me. When I went to pay, I had my card out and at least three staff walked past multiple times. Total wait time over twenty minutes to pay. Total meal time was close to 1 hour 45. Should have been one hour. Overall, great concept, good food, poor service. They need some solid management."

"I would have given Noorish 5 stars except that the service was a bit lacking...it took several minutes to get seated even though the restaurant was nearly empty and there were lots of staff chatting at the back. The service was polite but slow and disinterested - it took a while to get my food but it was definitely worth the wait. I had the massaged kale salad, the quinoa salad and a red curry soup. All 3 were amazing, so tasty and flavorful. My favorite though was the Noorish Mint Dream Elixir...it was worth every penny and I didn't want to put it down...Heaven in a cup! I would definitely recommend Noorish for the food - the prices are a bit expensive but the portions are big and the food is amazing!"

"Noorish is my favorite restaurant in Edmonton. I've been recommending it to everyone I know! The food is beyond outstanding; unique and creative recipes, generous servings, plated beautifully, hot when it is supposed to be hot, elixirs are fabulous, everything so tasty! The owner is always around greeting patrons and even serving, with a smile. Now that's a "hands on" entrepeneur! Every single server is lovely; obliging, and downright happy, with pride and grace not often seen. Last weekend, I went there Fri. for lunch to introduce it to a friend, then on Saturday for my birthday to introduce it to another friend; then my daughter and fiancee arrived for their lunch unbenownst to us! It's a family favorite!"

"Creative with the vegetarian fair, but a little on the bland side. I had heard how wonderful the Buddha Bowl was, but it was a little disappointing. My date loved her Pad Thai, however. I did appreciate the interesting refreshing beverages and the coconut ice cream for dessert, which you don't see too often. The ambience was great. And dinner for two with tip was about $70.00"

"The manager didn't know anything about the Open Table Points. If this is an important feature of using Open Table, there needs to be more information sent to businesses that use it for booking reservations. They were very nice about trying to figure out what it was all about."
