Oakland Hall Inn
Upon arrival at the table, guests are provided with a homemade bread basket of warm foccacia and richly flavored spreads. In addition to the set menu, guests could dine at Oakland Hall Inn every day and still enjoy something different. A selection of specials is created daily with seasonal ingredients.
"I want to keep things interesting and offer new things that perhaps people have never tried," says chef Charyk.
An herb garden at the back offers much inspiration to Mr. Charyk and his staff, in addition to fine products sourced from specialty purveyors.
The wine list will not disappoint. In addition to a wide selection of good Canadian wines, Oakland Inn offers 200 labels from both old and new world wines. Well-known labels are also available by the glass.

"The dinner was excellent as we expected. the service was prompt and courtious and very friendly. We were seated in a room to ourselves so the ambiance was just right. I wil and have already recommended the restaurant to several people. We will absolutely be back.My wife was pleasantly surprised with the complimentary banana cheesecake that was brought out for her birthday celebration. The cake was absolutely delicious and capped the dinner off perfectly. My compliments to the chef as well for the best mussels I have ever had, and I have had mussels in many places to compare.

"We have been to Oakland Hall before for special occasions and found our experience lacking this time. The hostess and waitstaff were not quite as professional as I would expect for a fine restaurant, and neither were we particularly impressed with the food. The bread basket was served with hard butter straight from the fridge that one had to flake off with a knife. The starters were heavy on quantity but lacking in quality; the tomatoes in the bocconcini salad were as hard as apples, and the Brie fritters consisted of an astounding quantity of fried cheese for one person. The risotto was quite salty. They were sold out of the dessert of the day even though we ate relatively early."

"The steak was like butter!! Melt in your mouth perfection! Would go again! Good wine list as well. Went using a groupon, & would go again! Fancy fine dining. Great friendly staff and nice cozy atmosphere. I loved the lit windey driveway up the hill to the place.It is a quaint old house build circa late 1800s."

"Went there on Valentine's Day and was very impressed. I read some mixed reviews and was a little concerned before getting there. I eat out quite alot so usually not esaily impressed.
Despite a busy night, we were attended to very promptly at the door and at the table. The wine list was great. Food, everything from the garlic spread with the bread basket to our meals, sides, and desserts were amazing and meticulously prepared. Service was good and the owner (I assume he's the owner) came around to each table to ask how everything was. Prices are reasonable for special occasions.
Was a perfect Valentine's Day dinner. Will definitely go back."

"We were impressed by the initial charm and ambiance of the Restaurant.
It was our first time dining at the Oakland Hall and unfortunately we were very disappointed with both the taste and the preparation of the food.
Considering the service was also just average, we feel the Restaurant didn't offer much to bring us back for a second visit!!!"

"I had an amazing experience last Friday at Oakland Hall. The place is absolutely stunning... it gave off such a homely feel. The food was great. I had the fettuccini with lobster in a white sauce... amazing and had leftovers to take home because the portion was quite large. My husband had a steak and it was cooked to perfection. I would definitely go back for another special occasion."
