Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant and Lounge continues to be the most sought-after destination for the very best in traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. Several remarkable physical features to combine to create a truly unique setting for a most memorable dining experience. The wood and stone decor designed by The Rockwell Group convey an organic congruence, valuing the earth from which a plethora of Chef Akira Back's key ingredients are hand-picked.
"This restaurant says they try to feature their foods as Tapas style.. Well, to me that is ridiculous with sushi. With 6 people at the table and only bringing out one roll at a time- it would take all night to eat. The rolls were small, OVERPRICED by 50% and the service was only so so. We dined early so they weren't that busy and to be slow is unacceptable for the price.
I had to ask the waiter to bring out our rolls all at once because they were only delivering them every 15 minutes.
I will NEVER go back."

"Great meal but rushed us through to order. We arrived at 9:45. They told us their kitchen was closing at 10:00. The place was PACKED! It took more than 20 minutes to get an order in. All in all, the food was amazing. The service was ok. I will say that it is pricey for the amount of food that you get. We loved it but actually left hungry :)"

"While Nobu is trendy & consistently good - sushi lovers with an adventuresome appetite will enjoy the whimsy and innovative menu at Yellowtail. Sleek decor, many tables have a view of the Bellagio fountains - there are a few tables outside, too. Staff are attentive but unobtrusive... I LOVE the lobster PB&J roll with the cashew butter & jalapeño jelle... Price is consistent for fine dining... But we'll worth it."

"Make sure you focus on the warm and cold plates - they were incredible! Don't miss the Tuna Pizza with truffle oil - SCRUMPTIOUS. The eggplant skewers were spectacular too!
Delicious, great service, and aim for a table on the balcony to watch the fountain if you can. Totally worth it. If not, the interior atmosphere is also great!
Enjoy"

"There were some highlights to the meal - the cheese course that came with the omakase and the tuna truffle pizza are stand outs to me. However, it just wasn't worth the $150, especially when you can go to Picasso next door for the same. With other great options in Vegas, I doubt I will go back. Nobu is better if you are looking for Japanese. Service was good, but not great. Our courses did not flow as they should have, and the sake pairings were dropped off in sets of three without explaining why they went with each course. Also, the chef was there and kept coming out to hit on a table of four young women and didn't acknowledge any of the other guests."

"Wonderful Las Vegas experience. Always plan a dinner here whenever I am in town. Great for business groups or couples. Let the chef plan your dinner - you will not be disappointed. Can get pricey, but well worth it - so plan for it!"

"Was really looking forward to this dinner...sorry to say, it was a real let down. The drinks from the bar were very good. Our main server was the main problem though. He was not attentive to us and spoke down to the guests. Not a good thing. We are all very bummed at our dining experience. Especially me since I was the one to set it all up! The sushi quality was top notch, presentation great and taste very good! But a server can leave a bad taste in your mouth and ruin good sushi! When we were told what the desserts were, it wouldn't have mattered if they were giving all the desserts away, there is no way we could stay! We went and got desserts at the Encore!!!"

"Service was treating me not badly but food was horribly poor in quantity and quality, sushi was not as expected, sashimi was regular to low and quantity was insulting my inteligence, this food can not satisfy anybody waiting for an entrance to cover your hunger. Anyway, it's a pity cause the ambience looks fine . Maybe I was unlucky... I will not come back for sure...neither recommend to my travel agency customers. Sorry for that."

"What an amazing experience to dine on the balcony while watching the Bellagio water show as if it were just for you. The service was excellent and food was great. I wouldn't say it was the best Japanese food or sushi I've ever had but it was unique and tasty."

"I have always been a fan of Yellowtail but my last visit left a bit to be desired service wise. I will consider it an anomaly until my least visit but old favourites on the menu like the grilled walu just didnt seem to pack the same flavor"

"The best Sushi experience we've ever had. Very romantic on the balcony looking onto the strip and the Bellagio fountains to keep us in awe. The Tuna pizza, red dragon and angry salmon roll were to die for. Also the crab cone. A must do if you want a fine dining experience."

"The food was delicious. The service was outstanding: waiter and servers were extremely attentive. To top it off, if you have a table on the terrace, you get a front row view of the Bellagio fountains."

"Yellowtail is an outstanding restaurant! The sushi here is the freshest I've had... anywhere. Fresh is one thing and taste is another and the sushi here is the BEST tasting I've had anywhere. The 'pop rock' sushi roll was the best roll I have had anywhere, anytime. Incredible. There was a roll that the waiter mentioned, not on the menu, but it had lobster and a lemon-zest kick to it. Very, very close 2nd to the pop-rock roll. Just awesome. There are great steak places up and down the strip... you can get a great steak at any of them or elsewhere in the country. I am very comfortable in saying Yellowtail is the best sushi I've had... Vegas or anywhere."

"Yellowtail is a professional, if not exciting sushi restaurant. Service is crisp and attentive. special requests are graciously accomodated. The restaurant is very attractive, but I could have done without the monotonous Euro-pop blasting in the background. The food is what you'd expect at a good sushi restaurant - at about 2 - 3X the price."

"Our favorite while visiting Las Vegas this past weekend. Food was great and the waiter was exceptional. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and will visit again next time we are in Las Vegas.
Great place to visit after seeing 'O' Ask for a window or sit outside so you can watch the fountains."

"Excellent quality, but too expensive for the tiny amount of food. Maybe at Nobu I would expect to pay more for a celebrity chef, but not here.
Best pick is their signature dish of tempura crab. It is a good value and very different - not what you would expect (in a good way). The starters were too small to share - seriously a tiny bite or two each. We won't go back."

"We had dinner out on the veranda with a perfect view of the fountains. The fountains were the highlight and made for a memorable evening. Our waiter was very attentative. Probably should have asked for his menu recommendations. The maki rolls and other items we ordered were good but not outstanding. In selecting Yellowtail, food was not the focus but dining with the fountain view was and it could not have been better."

"Nice restaurant. Cocktail was a rip off though. For $20 I ordered a drink that supposedly had sake, rum, and some juices in it; it tasted like plain pineapple juice to me."
