"Went for Mother's Day...chose Casa Mia based on other reviews, and boy were we NOT disappointed! The service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. You can't beat the $15 bottomless Mimosa's for brunch!"

"My wife and I both had different pasta dishes and they were both loaded with salt. We very dissappointed in the food after hearing good things about the restaurant. The service was also average for a SOuth Beach restaurant. Would not return."

"The restaurant is quaint, with fantastic service, food, and ambiance. We were a party of 6 with some of us late due Miiami traffic; we were not rushed, staff very accommodating and friendly! Food is authentic Italian Great choice! Will definitely be back!"

"As we walked up we were a bit apprehensive as the restaurant looked very small from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered. Greeted by a hostess and immediately guided to our table. We did not drink as my husband does not drink wine. That was fine as they brought us a carafe of ice water and great bread. Ordered the calamari which came out hot and delicious. For our entrees I had the seafood over pasta special which was cooked in parchment paper. Delicious! My husband the lamb shank which he said was falling off the bone. If you are in the neighborhood, it is a South Beach treasure as it is very reasonably priced."

"Care Mia is an excellent local place for reasonable Italian fare. They should offer more fish specials. There were a few errors due to language so order clearly and carefully."

"This place is a true gem! We have traveled througout the US and Europe and this place was authentic. There is no pretentiousness here. As a party of 6, we each ordered something different and were all very pleased. The San Marzano pasta dish was excellent, simply done right. Our 17 year old son is not a fan of Italian food and ordered the ribeye steak, which was of very good quaity and cooked exactly as he wanted it, without the pricey steakhouse cost. The lasagna was savory, and the seafood was fresh. Last but not least, the staff was friendly and attentive."

"Great casual dining!! Excellent prices, yummy salads, pasta, risottos and meats! Extraordinary chocolate mousse!! We went with our 10 year old daughter and she was happy with her pasta dish and dessert! Maybe not appropriate for children who expect to run around! Too nice of a place for that! :) we will be back!"

"Great little find in an off the usual mob scene location. Even the quality of the veal was superior to the usual tough stuff most Italian restaurants serve. Risotto perfect and decently priced for all."

"I almost never write a review on restaurants, but I had such a bad experience at this restaurant that I had to come home and write about it. I really wanted to like this restaurant, because it on our neighborhood and we thought it would be a good week day place. The service is one of the worst I have experienced in a while, and keep in mind that my wife and I go out in Miami expecting the service to be bad. We are actually surprised when we get good service, but I haven't had to wait 90 minutes to get a bowl of pasta and a salmon in a long time. The general manger/ owner is more preoccupied in making sure the napkins are set and the chairs are aligned than making sure his customers are getting served on a timely manner."

"I read the review in The Miami Herald and thought it would be a good place to try. We were very impressed. I had the best Pasta Carbonara that I've ever eaten. The Pancetta was crispy and plentiful. My date tried it and said he would order it the next time. He had the veal medallions and enjoyed it very much. I liked how you could order wine by the glass, small carafe or bottle. The prices were very reasonable and we will definately be going back! Bring plenty of change for the on street parking meters!"

"This is a wonderful example of what a restaurant should be. A menu that is moderately priced and food that is made with authentic recipes and fresh ingredients. Friendly and attentive service that is not overbearing. When ordering our meal, I asked the waiter if I could take elements from two different dishes and combine them into a new recipe. His response was warm and wonderful. He said, "You can do whatever you want..no problem." I love this place."

"Very friendly small neighborhood restaurant with genuine Italian menu. Fresh pear and Roquefort salad followed by veal piccata with lemon and caper sauce - perfect. Cheese cake dessert with four spoons - great finish to a meal that put us in great mood!"

"THe restaurant is very unimposing from the outside, but once inside, it is quietly elegant. We especially enjoyed the wide-screen TV by the bar playing the movie'Roman Holiday" (with subtitles only). The waiter was friendly and answered our many questions with a good attitude.
The menu was just big enough to offer variety, without being a long confusing "book". The Caesar salad to start was enough for 2 people and was more substantial than other restaurants--fresh romaine and a good portion of cheese slivers. The salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband's veal medallions was very tasty.
Overall, we had a relaxed, enjoyable dinner!"

"We were in South Beach for 1 night at a B & B about a 5 minute walk away from Cara Mia. We didn't want the hustle and bustle of Lincoln Road and Cara Mia suited us just right. Good food and service in a nice setting with no rush. A very pleasant experience."
