"Music was a little loud for a lunch hour - but food was great. Server was a bit rushed in getting us out of there (even though the place was pretty empty)."

"Not only did TAG prove outstanding with the service by way of timely seating and friendly staff, but our servers were exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Their suggestions proved to be delicious and we loved every bite.
I would STRONGLY recommend the kangaroo tartare and the ostrich. Both were divine. And for dessert...? Chef Noah outdid himself with the chocolate bar and carrot cake cheesecake. Beyond worth coming off the diet for an evening!
Overall, we had a wonderful and deliciously outstanding evening!"

"Service was friendly and attentive however I thought the food was a little bit lacking. We just had three item, granted not sushi items but what we did have was mediocre. My ostrich had great flavor, but the bitterness of the kimchi and the raw green bean texture did nothing to make the ostrich better. Also, the music at 7:30 at night on a Wednesday was bumping dance music that may be more appropriate for a later time in the day."

"Service was mediocre, music was annoying, distracting, and too loud, food was OK in comparison to TAG. We expected more based on the excellent experiences we've had at TAG, but will give it one more shot just in case it was an "off night.""

"Phenomenal mix of flavours - not just mixing flavours, but mixing different flavours. Fish taco was perfectly seasoned. Wasabi foam perfect for sushi!"

"Not much for a vegetarian here (only three dishes on the menu are vegetarian, and they're all miniscule in size--impossible to get full on), which I think is a lost opportunity. Creative but overpriced "entrees" (most dishes are small plates). My friends liked the sushi and the little pork appetizers they served. Excellent cocktails. Would go back for a drink but not for dinner."

"We were there for restaurant week and our appetizers (octopus and beets with smoked tofu) were nothing to write home about to say the least. Similarly, dessert wasn't great, BUT the entrees were very good. I had the short rib which was a very generous portion and extremely tasty. My date had a vegetarian squash dish that was surprisingly hearty. Overall, good experience.
I'm sure we'll be back at some point for a non-restaurant week dinner, but aren't rushing."

"Our servers were fantastic. I was so pleasantly surprised by the portion of the food for Restaurant Week, and really appreciated their offering such generous servings. The beef short ribs rocked my world, and I thought the ostrich dish was so creative. My only suggestions: turn down the music and choose something less obnoxious (they were playing 80's throwbacks, soooooo loudly...). Also, I thought the drink pairing was a bit expensive; Beatrice and Woodsley also did pairings with the same 4oz. pours but for only $14. Finally, I wished the big sharing table was wood or metal, rather than plastic- that made it feel like a cafeteria, but the rest of the restaurant felt modern. Still, those comments are just comments- I thoroughly enjoyed it!"

"Tag Raw is a place to take your taste buds on an extreme journey. In fact it got to the point of wondering what the next innocent, loving animal we were going to have presented to us! From the initial start with East/West coast oysters to kangaroo tartare it was seen that the chef(s) were well trained in the art of preperation as well as flavor profiles. The ostrich tataki was the star of my night with a light sear all around and raw yumminess in the middle. Not all is raw of course, we indulged in the soy braised short ribs and then finished with a lemon grass panna cotta. Well worth your visit!"

"We went to TAG Raw Bar during restaurant week, wanting to try something new. Though our experience was fine, I got the sense that the menu did not feature the "best of" TAG -- we expected more raw items and more things from the everyday menu. The food we had was good, but it didn't blow us away (and we'd had a couple amazing meals during restaurant week already). I would go back again just because this first experience didn't satisfy my curiosity about the food.
The space itself is small and noisy. It's not a good spot for an intimate date, but it's lively and fun. The cocktails are delicious, and the service was fantastic."

"The experience at Tag Raw Bar was wonderful in every way: the food was great and the service was outstanding also. The 5280 menu was very unusual and each dish was expertly prepared. We will return whenever we want something different from the usual fare."
