"Our dinner entrees were significantly late due to a large party being handled ahead of it. Matthew , our waiter was gracious and attentive and did a very good job at keeping us informed and also offered to give us soup We weren't starving because we had shared an appetizer. We weren't in a hurry so it worked out but the lag time was close to 30 minutes.
Food was good & we especially liked the roasted beet side dish. The twice baked potato was over seasoned with thyme or rosemary, which wasn't pleasing so I suggest a lighter hand.
The service from Matthew made up for these other issues."

"The restaurant was overwhelmed because it was Graduation at the U. of Nebraska. Although the food was as good as usual, it took a long time to get anyone to even bring us a drink! It is a much better experience when it's not as busy."

"This was our first visit to Venue. It was graduation day, but we were able to get a reservation through Open Table. The food was delicious from the Duck Tacos, Beet Caprese Salad, Seafood Soup and Black & Bleu Burger. We will stop in again to try more from their menu"

"Loved the look, good decorations. Bar menu was ok, both ordered martinis. Her martini was good & mine was mediocre. Seated by friendly hostess & greeted by equally friendly waitress. Table set up was nice. Had been craving a certain dish on their menu all day (Tuna three ways) and i was informed they were out of that dish. It is a popular dish and we were there a decent time, one would expect them to keep a good stock. That was the first disappointment. Nothing else really stood out, considering i had my heart set but i ordered horesradish salmon. Was OK, didnt expect it to be breaded. She ordered lamb chops, OK flavor not much meat. Very slow service, beer took forever to come out, seated for nearly 20 minutes before bread even came out."

"I can't thank you enough for all your staff did for my wife's 40th birthday. It was truly above and beyond. We've never had a dining experience quite like this. The personalized attention made it feel as though we were regulars when this was actually our first time there. The staff was courteous, friendly & made us feel very welcomed. The food was superb. In a word, the night was "perfect". Thanks."

"We enjoyed our anniversary celebration very much! The Chateau Briand for two was cooked to perfection. We really liked the Lobster Rangoon and the Spinach Marscapone Risotto. Service was excellent; our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. The wine list is the best in town. My only complaint would be to have nicer "dinner" music."

"My boyfriend and I have only visited the Venue a couple of times, but after this experience we will most definitely be returning more often.
Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and kind. He was attentive but not always at our table which I liked especially since this was a special date night.
After enjoying our appetizer we ordered entrees and about 15 minutes later, our waiter came over and apologized that he forgot to ring in our food items. Not many places do that and so I was very pleased he actually not only apologized, but also admitted to what he had done wrong. He also brought us a free dessert at the end of the night to thank us for our patience and kindness during his "mess up".

"We had a Saturday night reservation for 3 and were seated immediately. Upon approaching the hostess station, I knew we were in for a "loud" dinner. The acoustics are terrible in this restaurant due to the domed ceiling and rounded walls. Everything else was lovely. Our server, Dillon (perhaps Dylan?) was professional, friendly, patient, informative and attentive. Menu choices are plentiful with something for everyone, from the traditionalist to the food enthusiast. All of our selections were cooked perfectly, and hot when they arrived at the table. The timing between courses was well managed. We never felt rushed or forgotten. We were offered a sample of wine before we ordering a full bottle. We will return."

"We ended up eating in the lounge so the noise was a little louder than what one might find in the dining area. I ordered the seafood combination dinner. Considering the price of $26.00 I was a bit surprised with the small amount of food that was served. Only two shrimp, a small piece of salmon and two pieces of scallops. They were jumbo size shrimp but this was a very small portion of food for the price. It tasted great but not a great value. Dinner didn't include a salad either. If it did that would have made a difference. Service was excellent."

"Overall ambiance was very nice.
Steak was the best I have had in quite some time but twice-baked potato was blah...flat, drab, tasteless blob with a skin that resembled chewy shoe leather. The asparagus was cold and almost raw. Desserts were fabulous!
Prices are too high to make this a regular stop."

"I had been to Venue before, but this was my boyfriend's first time here since he lives in Florida. We had fantastic service (I think her name was Michelle?...she had previously worked at Red Lobster). She gave great suggestions as to what to order, and overall took impeccable care of us! The atmosphere was very calm, romantic, and decorated perfectly for Valentine's Day. Thanks Venue, we will be back!"

The only thing we were not jazzed about was the bread pudding the combination of the blue berries and walnuts was odd. The Dow's port wine with it was excellent though. I would recommend this place to anyone!"

"It is our favorite restaurant. The staff is not only friendly but provides great service. We really enjoy the seafood specials. However, the one dish you can't miss if you are having lunch or a light dinner is their pecan bleu salad."

"I returned to Venue to celebrate my birthday. I enjoyed the Chicken Kiev that I ordered as an entree last year for my birthday but when I went to order this dish, it was no longer on the menu, what a disappointment. Chicken Kiev also known as Chicken Ala Kiev is one of my favorite dishes, the last time I ate this dish was in a different country. The server at Venue was accomodating and offered to talk with the chef and see if they would be willing to make this dish for me, I declined the offer as I did not want to inconvenience the chef with a special dish for me on a busy Friday night. I understand the menu has changed twice in a year's time. My experience at Venue overall was delightful, I enjoyed my birthday dinner and the ambiance."
