"We are a family of 4 (2 small children). My husband and I loved our entrees, we were also able to pick items that even our children liked (not easy) from the small plates menu. The service was quick and friendly and the ambiance fabulous."

"Pork Tenderloin w/ molasses was devine! Beef filet prepared perfectly for my finicky husband. Quiet and romantic with a great wine list. We went early, but would have been great for a late night outing also. Had outdoor seating that wasn't very inviting--we sat inside and it was very nice. The chef came over to check that everything was to our liking. A nice touch. We had been in earlier to try to have lunch, but they were only having a cooking class. It looked special enough, that we went back. Glad we did!"

"Had another great dinner at Tanti Luce. This is definitely one of the better restaurants in Santa Fe. Halibut with risotto was especially outstanding."

"From reception to paying the bill, our evening was completely enjoyable. The service was excellent with a very good knowledge of the wine list, specials and recommendations. The Portobello mushroom starter was cooked well and seasoned beautifully with plenty of veggies to accompany it and increase the flavor. The Halibut entré was done to perfection - light, flakey, wonderful seasoning. The bed of risotto amplified the flavor of the fish. My wife's Polenta with sauteed veggies was superb. She asked for it without the Brussel Sprouts as their taste would overpower the delicate polenta. She was most pleased and satisfied with the selection. Our dessert of Strawberry Cheesecake was light and flavorful without overstuffing full stomachs."

"We've dined at Tanti Luce a few times and each was memorable. The ambience is very peaceful, pleasant, relaxing. It has not been crowed, which is surprising for such a fine restaurant. I would rate it with Santa Fe's best; The Compound, SantaCafe, Geronimo. The food and service are exceptional."

"We have been there a number of times but his was just pedestrian. The server was cold, not personality, the caesar salad was bland and not anything to consider ordering again. The olive oil for the bread was also tasteless. The pink trout was good but not excellent. I expect better of this restaurant,."

"Menu was interesting. I had buffalo short ribs with truffled mashed potatoes and a Barolo sauce, which was excellent. Two of my dining companions had seared scallops with a pesto sauce that they loved. We were here in the shoulder season, so the restaurant was not busy. So we may not have had a good indication of the noise level or of how the service will be on a busy night. But our server was charming and efficient. I would recommend giving it a try."

"We weren't overly wowed by the food, although it was perfectly fine, but would still give this restaurant another try. It was a particularly slow night and while that makes it pleasant (not too noisy), it can also sometimes mean the food isn't as good as it might be on a busier night. The service was excellent and it's a pretty restaurant with a nice little patio (if you choose)."

"Excellent food! I love the pork tenderloin. The cream of mushroom soup was delicious. The cocktail menu was interesting. I had a Salad in a Glass. This was the best cocktail that I have ever tasted. It tasted exactly like a salad in a glass."

"Recent experience was disappointing...restaurant clearly overrated or inexcusably inconsistent at this time. Food was simply OK and waiter was either unsure of himself and/or inexperienced...there are better options for an expensive dinner in Santa Fe."

"We visit Santa Fe annually and this is a new-to-use restaurant in a location of a previous restaurant we had enjoyed. There is nothing notable about it, but no complaints either. With all the wonderful options in Santa Fe, this won't call us back unless it starts to get outstanding reviews. The former restaurant was much cozier with better food options and quality."

"We're local and dine frequently in Santa Fe. This was a great experience with dinner well timed, food excellent and a great atmosphere. Crowded for this time of year but that didn't distract from the evening. We'll be back."

"Best food in Santa Fe! The soup pumpkin curry soup was so good it was hard not to lick the bowl. The pork tenderlion was tender with a beautiful sauce. The raspberry sorbet tart. We will come back. We are also telling all of our friends that this is the place to go when you are in Santa Fe."

"Really bad. Avoid at all costs. Bring back the old Amavi. The bolognese on noodles was like over-cooked pasta with chili (no kidding, tasted like chili). We sent back to portobello mushroom appetizer. The trout was passable, but smothered in un-appetizing corn sauce (whatever that is) It eon't mstter, they will bite the dust shortly!"

"We went for Restaurant Week 2013 and ordered from that and the regular menu. We enjoyed our evening very much and thought the food was very fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly, including the executive chef who stopped at our table. The roasted beet salad was wonderful. This restaurant is easy to get to on foot from anywhere in downtown Santa Fe. For those not very mobile, be aware that there are stairs outside."

"Third time at this restaurant and by far the worst. First course arrived before drinks and bread. The bread was tastless and insipid. $14 for a premium martini is outlandish for even NYC. Caeser salad was good with fresh anchovie garnish. Pork tenderloin was inconsistant with one bite being tough and another tender. The sauce was tasteless. Only choice for dessert was what flavor sorbet we wanted. Although this was restaurant week, the place was not busy so there is no excuse. Very disappointed."

"A group of us dined during Restaurant Week. The menu was small but varied and very well-priced. The food was delicious. My chicken piccata could not have been more tender or flavorful. We were very warmly greeted and all of our requests were handled efficiently and with good humor."

"The food was very good and well prepared. The restaurant is comfortable. The wine list was adequate, however, there was not a large selection of "by the glass" wines. We ordered the buffalo short ribs and paella. Both were well prepared and seasoned well. Appetizer was a combination of fried shrimp, fired oyster, and calamari. All well prepared and seasoned. Overall the meal was very good. Our complaint - we arrived 15 minutes ahead of our reservation time and went to the bar to wait. We asked the staff who greeted us to have the wait staff retrieve us from the bar when our table was ready. They forgot. The bar bill for two cocktails we felt was a little overpriced. All and all a good experience."

"my date and i had been here several times before and the food has always been memorable - in a town of standout restaurants, this is no mean feat. the bar is usually quiet (it's small) but being valentines, it was very busy and the bartender was flustered, upset, and in no mood to greet anyone, much less take an order.
once seated in the dining area, however, it was the usual attentive service. calvin was warm, efficient and knowledgable (despite being very busy.) and the food was, again, outstanding.
highly recommend."
