"The food was delicious. The service was good.
We got sat at the end of the "table" and waited for others to show up and share our "table". I would not go for a romantic dinner. Would be more fun for a group rather than a couple who want to talk. We ended up with a "table" to ourselves and moved to the center seats."

"I've been to hibachi style restaurants before, several of them. They all pretty much seem the same to me and this one wasn't any more notable than others I had been to. However, thats not necessarily a bad thing. The food was good, the service was relatively slow but thats the nature of the style of the restaurant and it kind of adds to the experience of dinner -- enjoying your meal over a couple of hours with good company. Of course, once you've seen the "show", its almost always the same but I took 2 kids (8,10 yo) and they loved it! The upcharge 3.95 for fried rice which i thought was a little steep considering you're not going there for something thats been in a rice cooker all day. They even took a picture for mothers day, for free."

"We arrived with our full party at the reservation time. They said they were running about 30 minutes late, so reservations were pointless for this special occasion. After 50 minutes, they finally took us to the table where we had to wait for another 15 for someone to bring us the correct number of chairs. They didn't have enough plates or napkins, and our table only received two bowls for the 10 servings of fried rice! Absolutely terrible service!!!"

"We had a good experience with our family (party of 10 was perfect size for one table). The table was in a quiet area apart from the main area. The service was good & most enjoyed their food. My meal was disappointing. Could not taste any lemon on the lemon chicken and it was pretty dry. I wanted fried rice made from brown rice but just got brown rice. However, they had ice cream desserts for the kids and made special ice cream treats for the two birthday people, which was nice. Other nice touches were paper chef hats for the kids and they took a picture of our whole group and presented it to us, in a paper folder, when we were leaving. Everyone seemed to have a great time!"

"The food is always amazing. Everyone left with nothing but positive remarks about their meal. Staff is friendly. We had a group of 11 and everyone was comfortable. They could have been a little more prepared for a group of 11. They did not have the table ready, even with the reservation. They were still setting up the dining room after we were seated, and a little slow getting started with our drink and appetizer orders. After that, service was great."

"After eating at Benihana many times, I didn't think this time would be that bad. We had a new chef I guess and our dinner was a mess. First he forgot the shrimp appetizer, then he forgot the garlic butter or any butter in the fried rice. It was awful. My 5yr old had to tell him that he needed to make a train with the zucchini and the onion volcano. I said something to the manager discreetly and she gave us coupons for free fried rice and the chef was told to give us our shrimp appetizer after our entrée. That's not how you win back customers. When I got the bill I gave the coupons to the waiter but he forgot to apply it so he went back and redid the whole bill again only to find out that he charged the other couples bill to my card and gave"

"Wasn't too bad, but could have used some improvements. Our table was not prepared ( no salt & pepper, no sugar or sweetener for tea & no soy sauce, we had to borrow from another table, or tell the server when he was able to come around, he seemed to have too many tables to keep up. I'm not saying it was his fault, when we asked for anything he tried to get it as quickly as possible. I have never been to the Woodlands Benihanna's before, but always had a wonderful time at the downtown Houston location."

"We frequent hibachi grills in town and with a name like Benihana that's been around you would think it would be one of the best, but it's the opposite. The cooking and tricks were boring, no flames at all, no interactive fun for the kids, and worst of all the food has no flavor. It's the last time I'll be going there. Shogun and Sakekawa blow it away."

"It was our 12th anniversary and it was my wife's Dream to eat here. It was Me my wife and our 2 children. We were seated at a table with 2 other couples. My wife wanted a more private setting so I ask to get a separate table and was told that that was not possible.There were only 3 or 4 tables occupied and about the rest of the restaurant was empty.We decided to leave and find a more accommodating restaurant.Sad that staff would not bend to make us comfortable.Very Disappointed!!!!!"

"Our chef, Aaron was great fun. We really enjoyed our time with him, but he was haveing trouble getting the support staff to get him the items he needed. At one point he had to go back to the kitchen to get on of the meat items because it was not included with the other items on the prep cart. We also had trouble getting the servers to re-fill glasses. I had one server argue with me about the size of the take-out box I asked for."

"This is in our neighborhood and we visit occaisionally...it is in our rotation for sushi since my kids can get a meal as well. The food was fine. We sat at a hibachi table and had a very personable chef. BUT the waiter forgot to put our sushi order in. So my husband never received his sushi. The whole reason we went. Just received an apology from waiter. Did not offer us anything for his mistake. We have several other hibachi/sushi options in the neighborhood that are just as good. Benihana won't be our first choice next time."

"Great night but the food was mediocre and we have eaten benihanas before and the food was fantastic . We brought our meal home then never bothered to eat the rest . Not sure if it was the chef or cuts of meat"

"Another nice dinner. A young lady customer at the table was a problem. She requested just about everything about her meal to be customized. It was so extensive that the CHef first cooked hers, then came back and did the rest. I think she should have had to wait until the other seven were served. She even ordered extras to go and those were cooked first. I see this as an abnoxious customer, though. It is NOT a Benihana issue."
