"The Only Word I Can Describe about Each and EVERY One of My Visits to Benihanas is LOVE. I Love the Food, the Sushi, the Drinks, the grill and cooking my food right in fromnt of me (us) I Just LOVE Everything!! My Only complaint would be the wait, I HATE Waiting HOWEVER I Understand the wait time as I assume that EVERYONE Loves the Food as Much as I Do. Thank you."

"The apmasphare was excellent...We enjoyed watching the cheif prepare our food right at our table and the waitess serving us as needed.
We had the Stake and Chicken for two....My husband and I split the dinner and there was more than enough food for the both of us...we even took leftovers home and ate them for lunch.

"Our chef was very entertaining when preparing the food! I also liked when he stated what the ingredients were as he was adding them to the dishes on the hot plate table. He also did not mind if pictures were taken. The sushi appetizers were awesome too!

"We had reservations for mother's day at 5:30 and arrived at about 5:20 and were told that the wait would be another 20 - 30 minutes and that not all of the 5:00 reservations had been seated yet. After 30 min, I inquired and was told about another 15 minutes....at 6:10 or so we were finally seated. It wouldn't have been a huge bother but there was no where to sit and so many people that one could hardly move. The food was fabulous but the "show" was a little lacking. Overall, experience was good."

"We had a reservation for 5pm. They called earlier to confirm. When we arrived at 5pm we were told that they were seating in order of people arriving. It was Mothers day and they were seating the large groups first and filling in with the two's. It was extremely loud. We didn't get seated until 6pm, service was extremely slow. It was after 7:30 before we finished. Not a good place to be on a holiday."

"I usually go to the Dearborn location, but they was booked. So I tried you'll location and it was good, the sushi was banging and the crowds was very energetic. The only thing was the cook at our table was not talking and he didn't cut the food up correctly. He was chopping the steak and chicken in chunks I didn't like that."

"Even though the prices were not accommodating to most family night budgets the splurge was definitely worth it. The wait staff was energetic and kind. The experience of having a chef cook your food on grill in front of you is great. The look on my kids faces as Chef John created the onion volcano was great. Definitely a must do if you are in the Troy area. Ask for chef John."

The manager claims its a new policy they implemented but I was never told about this beforehEand. "Our cook John was not very attentive to us. We were apparently seated with a regular whom John was familiar with. He devoted his attention to him. We didn't get "the heartbeat" and only got the volcano because we asked for it. The gentleman that brought our salads and beverages was great, he is the only positive aspect of this dining experience. I don't like being ignored and left feeling like an outsider especially when celebrating a friend's birthday."

"The food here is always fantastic, although a little pricey so I don't go that often. The food is very healthy for the most part, but I always make sure to get a box for the non-perishable (non-raw) sushi since I cannot eat the whole meal! Make sure to make a reservation if you are coming here, as this spot is busy every night of the week."

"Overall a pleasant experience. Only one complaint. Our reservation was for 5pm. We arrived about 15 minutes early and the hostess suggested a drink at the bar while waited. We proceeded to the bar to get a drink and were told the bar isnt open yet and wont be open until 5. Our initial reaction was that it wouldn't have been an inconvenience to take 2 minutes to grab us a couple of beers (he wasnt doing much more than standing around chit-chatting), but we understood and accepted it. However, less than 2 minutes later my fiance pointed out to me that the patrons who arrived directly behind us were served drinks immediately after we left the bar area. That dampened my entire experience and stuck with me thoughout the evening."

"The worst dining experience at Benihana. Rude staff beginning when we were seated by the hostess. Waited at least 15 minutes before the waitress addressed us. "My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time because we had a coupon. There are so many kids in there it is ridiculous, and they put couples at the same table as a bunch of toddlers. We would not go back."

"This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to for a number of reasons. The customers service was terrible. My boyfriend and I waited 30 mi past our reservations to be seated. Then we waited 20 minutes or so to get our drinks. It was extremely loud inthe restaurant and the staff seemed very unorganized. We finally got up and left to go somewhere else."

"Second time we went. First visit was just OK. This time, an even longer wait for a table even though we had a reservation. Waitress frequently was gone for long periods of time. Main activity was staring at each other while waiting for the waitress/chef to come. We seriously considered walking out. When the chef finally arrived he looked burned out, never smiled, and seemed like he was just going through the motions."
