"My nephew "Devon" was our cheif. We were a party of nine; which included his Grandmother, great aunt, mother, sister, brother, two aunts, an uncle and a family friend. We were all very proud of Devon. He mesmerized and entertained us. The best mothers day ever!!!"

"My husband took the family to Benihana for a Mother's Day lunch- it was a blast. It was the first time my kids (1 and 4) had been there and they loved the show. Wait staff was very accommodating of my little ones, including bringing a high chair, sippy cups, and not turning up their noses when we didn't order anything for the baby. We had a great table, too- looking out the window over a pretty grassy area. My mojito was delicious, and everyone's food was great."

"I thought that the food at Benihana in Memphis was excellent. I had the Benihana Trio which is filet mignon, chicken breast, and colossal shrimp combined. The filet mignon and shrimp were exceptional and the chicken breast was very good. I should have gotten the vegetable fried rice that my girlfriend got because after tasting some of hers going back to my white rice was sooooo disappointing. I made due by mixing my white rice with some of the meats and mushrooms that I was given, however.
While I loved the decor and intimacy of the show that the chefs put on I did feel a bit weird sharing the seating area with other couples. We were a bit packed in and it didn't allow for any meaningful 1-on-1 time with my significant other."

"Waited 5 minutes. After that it was great. Chef was humorous while also delicately cooking the food. Food was FanTastic! Had the firecracker roll (9/10) and the hibachi shrimp mango (8/10). Vegatables w/ Shrimp could of been cooked longer. Other than that the shrimp was fantastic, fried rice was amazing, green tea was warm and humble. Overall Great Experience."

"I made a reservation. And when I got there the hostess was very rude and told me I still had to wait to get a table. So what's the point of making a reservation. The food wasn't that great at least not for the price. Once we gotta a table the and got our drinks they never came back to refill them. Overall not a great experience. I don't think il be going back."

"We have been to Benihana several times and have had a great time, however a large component of that is how engaging and skilled the hibachi chef is. In this case, he seemed quite a bit inexperienced but maybe a little overconfident. Maybe he was new. Thankfully this was not my first time at the restaurant so I know that this is an exception, however more training may be something that they should consider with new hires."

"Once me and my party was seated the waitress took forever to bring drinks and refills. After that we waited an hour to be served soup and then salad 30 minutes later. We waited so long that some of my friends asked if they could have another salad because they was so hungry. Finally when the chef came to the table we noticed that the waitress had brought out the birthday cake that we had brought with us and was about to serve it to the table across from us. It was 4 of us celebrating a birthday and this experience could have been great had it not been for the poor service on the waitress. Needless to say that this ruined my first experience to this restaurant. Besides that my food that the chef cooked was great."

"I took my wife there for her birthday. The food was very good, the ambience was nice and they even gave her a bowl of ice cream as a treat. We had a wonderful time there and will definitely go again. Additionally, we will aos use Open Table to secure our reservation."

"Not impressed at all. Food was absolutely HORRIBLE. No taste whatsoever. This was our first time at Benihana's but probably the millionth time coming to a Hibachi type of restaurant. The staff was nice and chef kept our kids entertained but the food was not great at all. The ginger salad dressing had a strange taste to it, the soup tasted like it was watered down and the grilled veggies had no taste whatsoever to them and just a little sesame seed on them. My husband and I got the steak and shrimp. The shrimp had a rubber like texture and the steak had quite a bit of fat left on them in which we didn't realize until after the chef was gone from our table. Needless to say I feel like spending 115.00 at this place was way too much."

"It was terrible. The worst experience I have had yet. I made reservations for 1:30pm. My party didn't get seated until 2:30. "Food was good. Chef was good. Had good service from waitress till after chef was done, then they disappeared. Was there for a birthday, had to hunt waitress down and ask her twice to bring me our cake. Never had birthday group picture done, nor was it offered. Felt deceived by restaurant was asked did I want steamed or fried rice. Was not told the fried rice was an extra cost till bill came. Was there from 630pm to 845pm due to the hour delay after done eating trying to get birthday cake. Talked to a manager the next day, said we should have been completely done in 1.5 hrs. She apologized for the disappointment of having birthday there, and is sending me something in mail."

"All was well, EXCEPT for the LONG wait! I made resevations prior to my visit, and STILL had to wait 45 mins. So that started my experience out bad! So we decided to wait in the bar area, and it took them "FOREVER" to get our alcoholic beverages, by the time they brought us our drinks, we were already at the Hibatchi grill, thats how long it took. But other than the "Wait" time that was a GREAT dissapointment, the rest of my experience was phenominal!! I'm not from Memphis, and where I'm from they don't have places like this around, so the whole experience was supper cool!! The food was so great, that I came in the next day to order take-out!! i will give it another try!!"

"Benihana was great! My boyfriend took me there for the sushi and great food and I loved every minute of it. The chef became a friend while preparing our dinner for the night and so did the people that was sitting with us at the grill. I will definitely recommend Benihana to any Japanese food lovers. Another great thing about Benihana's If you ask you can get a picture taken to remember the night!
Just know when you sit at the grill the gratuity is calculated into your bill."

"It is the best place ever. It is so awesome. Me and my Husband went there on our first month anniversary and then we started going like once a month. We went there the day we was on Valentines Day. "Good food...we had reservations for 7:30 and didn't get sat til 8:30...and we didn't start eating until 9:15. The wait times where horrible but the food made up for the service."

"Great experience, great food, loved meeting new people at my table. The show the chef provided was very nice and cute, but due to previous issues at this location - no fire was used. The food was tasty, just way too much garlic in mine. And I love garlic, just not sooo much.
We shared the special of the evening "Chicken and Shrimp for two" then added fried rice upgrade."

"i had a n 6:30 reservation and had 3 of 4 present yet the other one was parking. i was held back 30 minutes even though told them the were parking... however a full table of "business" men walked right in and were sat before us. did nt appareciate that."

"Great food, great atmosphere. We had reservations for a group of 10, but ended up with 12 people and they accommodated us without any problems. It was great! We go every year to celebrate January birthdays for our family and will continue."
