"The servers and manager are rude and do not value customer service at all!! I have been going there for many many years and was astounded at how they have changed and very disturbed how little they care about there customers!! I can not believe how rude there waiters are!! Very upset! I will never go back and do not recommend anyone else to go there!!"

"We went here as a treat for Mothers Day. Our server started out great, but we lost her mid meal. We sat with empty drinks for awhile before she returned. She also did not tell my party that fried rice was more money. And at dessert time said we had 6 coming, but did not specify who had dessert as part of the meal. The food was good and enough to satisfy. Everybody in my party seemed happy with their selection. We all enjoy the food made in front of us..even though our chef was missing some of our food and had to leave to get it. This was not the best visit we had, but would return in the future if family asked."

"We had an 8 pm reservation. The place was empty for a Saturday night. They gave us choices in seating which was good. The Hot Sacki was great the food portions were a little lite. What bothered us the most was the the waiter bringing the soup, salid and main course like they were closing in five minutes and we were keeping them open. It was like going to Bob Chins which I don't go to for dinner on Saturday night. It was not the old Benihana that I use to patranize."

"We made a reservations, it did us no good as we showed up at reserved time and still waited more than a half an hour for our table. The bar area was way too small for the establishment. The food and chef was great and if it was not for the wait it would of been a perfect evening."

"I like going to Benihana, but this time we went I think it was just a little too busy for our waiter. It took long to get our check, and when we got it, they had not discounted the $30 certificate we had handed them in the beginning. The discount had been given to the people sitting across from us, but they had already left. The manager was nice though and still gave us the discount at the end. I think I prefer going there when they first open and it's not too busy."

"Food was outstanding on this visit. It's always good but this was great. Our chef "George" cooked everything to perfection and was very entertaining as well. "Three of us Dads brought our (collective) five daugther for a Daddy-Daughter Date. The cadre of 11 year olds all dressed to the nines had the best time. They were awestruck by the tableside cooking and the show put on by the chef. I particulary like the fact that they have a kid friendly menu - same Habachi selection at a kid price. I hadn't been to Benihana for quite some time, and I could see that they both updated their menu and their ability to cater to the family. My kids are already asking when we're going back. I'm sure it will be soon"

"I made a reservation and went to Benihana's in Wheeling for my wife's birthday. She had received a coupon via email for her birthday since we do go to Benihana's quite frequently. I was very disappointed that they would not accept the coupon since it is valid only during the week. They had sent us the coupon and I feel they should have accepted it since this is why we decided to go to their restaurant. The manager was not very nice about it and he blamed it on corporate. I am not sure if I will go back to Benihana's at all especially the Wheeling location. There are a lot of good Japanese cook on the table restaurants that would have been happy to take a coupon and get my business."

"We've been coming to Benihana for birthdays and special events for decades. The food's exactly the same as Tsukasa and Kegon, but the "show" is pretty mediocre here. My kids like the chef's knife tricks, the onion volcano, tossing broccoli, etc. and the past few times the chefs seemed bored and less skilled. We're opting for Kegon or Tsukasa from now on instead."
