"The overall experience was good. It was a little noisy in the main dining room, but the restaurant was busy. Our Chef was trying to be interactive (Jaime) but it was difficult to hear him over the crowd. The servers were prompt, courteous and friendly. My wife and I have dined at Benihana previously and have no reason not to return in the future. This was a good evening out for the two of us and would recommend dining there to our friends."

"The food was great but I was disappointed that all I got for my birthday was the ice cream. My friends said that they got a Happy Birthday song and a picture. Did we have to request that? Also we had to wait on a table even though I had a reservation. We were waiting on the last 2 people to arrive but when they did we still had to wait 10 minutes. The problem that I had with the service is that I ordered a glass of water and never did get it and my sister ordered a drink but didn't get it until the end of the meal. I know they were busy and it was hard to hear but I was disappointed in the service. Seemed like the waitress had too many tables and not enough time to check back."

"Normally i request Adrian to cook our food but we got stuck with a lame-o, he simply cooked our food, no entertainment at all. i had benihana delight, huge shrimp!! yum. was full as usual and had leftovers to take home. vanilla icecream was delish and i had sparkling wine. i tried their red flower punch, nasty. We will be back as the food never fails!"

"My wife and I have been frequent diners over the last 15 plus years, mostly downtown. It was always a fun experience that would normally take an 1 1/2 hours.......this was the worse experience ever for us.......we were rushed the entire meal......we ordered sushi , it got there when the fried rice was done, we weren't even close to be done with the soup and the salad was there......I told the manager we would think twice before returning"

"When dining a waiter slipped and spilled beer all over my friend and me. He, along with our personal waiter, were very considerate and made sure that we were okay. The manager, however, was very rude. He did not know what happened even though the waiter had just gotten him, he wasn't concerned about our well being, and he addressed us in a manner similar to: "well I assume you're expecting me to compensate you". Accidents do happen and I am not upset about that, instead I am upset with the in professionalism from the manager. I would have appreciated a little more concern for the well being of his customers."

"Food was fantastic as always. The only thing was we really felt rushed to leave. My son's friend was not finished eating - literally still had his fork in his mouth and the waitress picked up his plate and put it in a to go box. We all laughed about it, but honestly that should not happen."

"The chef threw a hissie-fit and stormed off because he didn't understand the orders or special requests (Vegetarian, Shellfish Allergies). Later he argued with the "waiter", in the lobby but in view of our table, before coming back to the table and then had to clean off the grill and start all over. Then, because he wasn't apparently in the mood, he skipped all the good things we go to see... "onion volcano", tossing food, flipping egg, etc. It made for a very uncomfortable evening - certainly NOT the way to celebrate someone's birthday. Oh, year, they forgot to give the birthday girl her rice, too! I think we'll go back to Soho in West Chester next time."

"I was disappointed to get there for my 5:00 reservation a little early and then told they didn't open until 5:00, so I had to go back and sit in my car. Then waiting in the bar I was told Happy Hour didn't start until 5:30 and I would have to come back to get the Happy Hour price."

"The food was good as it always is. The service is not. We literally had to clear our own plates, putting our dishes on an extra tray the server kept at the side of the table. The server cleared my soup bowl as I was still eating, I had to ask her to leave my bowl. We had to ask to have another drink each time, the server never asked if we needed another drink."

"I brought my niece for her birthday during lunch. She's such a cultured young lady and accomplished pianist, that I was surprised when she informed me that this was her first time dining at Benihana! I could tell from the broad smile on her face that she enjoyed her dining experience."

"I took a male companion for his birthday. He used the $30 birthday certificate I presented to him. Although he dined at the Memphis location, he expressed that his experience with me at your Cincinnati location was the best ever! I ALWAYS love the chef tricks! I always wonder, how long must they train for to master such a skill. Our chef was extraordinarily entertaining."

"The waiter forgot to turn the stove on. So the had to turn the stove on and we had to wait 15 more min. And we had been waitin for a long time already. I was not very happy about that."

"The food was fantastic! We drive from Lexington just to eat at Benihana in Cincinnati. However, the service was subpar. The greeter was rather rude, although the wait for our table wasn't too long. After we were seated, the waitresses took an extremely long time to come to the table to get drink orders (approx 7-10 min). The younger waitress was rushed and brash when taking orders - like we were taking up too much time. The chef took approx 25-30 min to come to the table - everyone had finished their soup and salad and the bowls had been picked up for 10 min before he showed up. Meal was fantastic. Took 30 minutes to get our check - server gave one group their check, but did not bring our's and another party's at the table."

"I have to admit that I was disappointed. Our Chef did none of the flashy knife and spatula tricks this traditional Japanese resteraunt is none for. His name was Jose and it was my sons first time. Also we were not served the food we ordered until another customer brought it to the chefs attention 5 minutes before he loaded his cart to leave. For the amount we paid it was severely over priced and a complete let down."

"i ENJOYED THE MEAL BUT I MADE RESERVATIONS FOR A PARTY OF 10 AND I WASN'T HAPPY ABOUT THE SITTING ARRANGEMENTS. THEY MADE ALL OF US SIT AT THE SAME TABLE, THEY HAD ONE OF MY GUEST PULL UP A CHAIR TO THE TABLE AND HAD EVERYONE SLIDE OVER. WE WERE ALL CLOSE AND FELT THAT WE WERE ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. WE ALSO HAD TO PASS DISHES FROM PART OF THE TABLE TO THE NEXT DUE TO THE WAITRIS NOT BEING ABLE TO WALK AROUND. WE ALSO WENT FOR MY BIRTHDAY, NO ONE OFFERED TO TAKE MY PICTURE. LAST YEAR WHEN I CAME FOR MY BIRTHDAY, IT WAS BETTER ORGANIZED AND THE PICTURE WAS TAKEN!"
