"This used to be my kids' favorite place now I don't know if we'll ever go back. We had terrible service from both our server (screwed up my order; table chef had to send her back to the kitchen 3 times to fix it; unfriendly - with several kids) and table chef (semi-skilled and staring off into the distance the whole time - not engaging with us or our kids). I had higher expectations since it was closed for renovations for about a year, but it seems like they hired wait staff from a fast noodle joint downtown and didn't train them to smile. Disappointed. Food was decent."

"I enjoyed the ambiance. I was treating my boyfriend for his birthday. To watch his facial expressions was priceless. As the chef began to prepare the food and to actually see how it was prepared and to know what you were eating, words can't express the experience. the mango lemonade was delicious and everything we ate was tasty. "I really enjoyed Benihana! It was my boyfriend and I and we sat with another table of two and another table of four and they were enjoyable people! I was worried that we might be sat with people we do not like and luckily the people were great. The chef was awesome and funny and the food was cooked to perfection.
My only issue was the fact that I smelled like food after I left other than that, it was perfect!"

"I took my boyfriend there for the first time. I figured he would enjoy the silly jokes the chefs make. The chef took forever to arrive to the table approximately 25min after we were seated. When finally came his energy level seemed so low like he was done and wanted to go home. The waitress seemed bothered when she asked if we needed something else. Over all the food was good and i have been to Benihana so many times because ppl are so caught up with the name but it would not be my first place for hibachi style food. My advise being your staff energy level up especially if they ask if someone has been there for the first time!!!!!"

"My best friend and I have known each other for 30 years and we make it a point to get together once a month ., we decided to do Doris Baxter spa and lunch at Benihanas. The server, Adonis, was knowledgeable on the menu, suggested delicious drinks and guided us on the menu. We Saar outside on a90° day but the shade of the terrace was lovely. 4 drinks, 3 plates of sushi and an entree was $90."

"Took my wife and 16 year old son here on a Tuesday night and found although the bar area was quite nice the restaurant upstairs was looking tired and dated. Chef was very robotic and didn't really look look he enjoyed his job, this was a shame as I have been to Benihana in London UK and Las Vegas and had much better nights. The food was of average quality and service could have been better...I would not rush back."

"I've been celebrating my birthday at Benihana for the past 5 years. This year was by far the worst experience that I've had. "Our family has been going to this restaurant for years. This past Sunday, there were subway issues which caused us to be late. We called the restaurant to let them know that we would be about 20 mins late, and we were told it was no problem. When we arrived, they said to wait about 10 mins. After making several inquiries and waiting 50 minutes, we were told in an angry voice that it would be another 20 minutes. We asked to speak to the manager and they finally seated us. The hostesses were extremely rude and quite frankly, the manager just said, "Sorry for the wait" in a somewhat disingenuous tone of voice. It's too bad but it seems the management has changed and politeness is no longer part of the Benihana experience at this location."

"We enjoyed the versatility and the show. Food was prepared to our liking, though it was diverse. We loved the nice atmosphere, the warm and relaxed feel of the place, the comfortable dining and the friendly treatment of the restaurant staff. I have been dinning in Benihana since 1985. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The soup was amazing and the salad was refreshing. The very well done stake was to the Mother's liking. We liked the Salmon, with onion and zucchini. Everyone loved the dinner. Service was well-timed and friendly."

"We went here for Mother's day- it's a tradition and we were in the city. I was pleasantly surprised by this location of the chain. We had reservations and were seated within a reasonable time frame. The food was great as always and our chef was a delight. The waitresses were a bit rude but not horrible."

"Server kept offering soda to the two teenagers at the table. She said you need more soda, as if there were free refills. After serving them 3 sodas each, she brings a receipt with 6 sodas for two people. They both had a glass full of soda sitting on the table when we left the restaurant."

"Was so unimpressed, the hibachi was the most boring show Ive ever seen in my life. It was like watching my own mother cook. At one point I asked the chef if he was going to light anything on fire and he replied with a curt "No." The portions were small. I will not be coming back."
