"It was Mother's Day so the restaurant was packed and there was a special menu. The service was poor. While the chef was fine, the waiter paid little attention to the table (water glasses sat empty) and at the end of dinner he brought the check before people were finished eating and did not ask anyone if they wanted tea (although it was included in the dinner specials) and he did the same thing with the included dessert."

"As always the hibachi entres were delicious. And the cheg=f cooking amazing. There always seem to be a lot of unruly children there - this sounds like I don't like kids which is far from the case. As two adult couples looking to relax and visit, it felt like we were in the middle of the McDonald's play yard. Perhaps having fasmilies with small children in one section would make it better for the rest of the diners."

"The message for the evening: MAKE a reservtion ! I made mine through open table and had to wait only 15 minutes... unlike the 90 minute wait for those without reservations. Always a nice show, fun for kids & family events. Food cooked right in front of you so you can see what you are eating and how it was prepared. All meals should be like this. There was no rush, even thought the place was packed. Good food, good fun."

"We had a reservation at 8pm. We arrived at 805pm, so we were a couple minutes late. We sat down to eat at 850pm. Food was fair to good. Nothing was that flavorful. Chef was good, but not really entertaining maybe he was tired. Server was attentive with drinks/waters. This is the second trip to Benihana, and frankly I am not sure we will go back. It was pretty much like it was last time, okay."

"Terrible experience at Benihana's! I should have never made a reservation here for my mother's birthday, but figured it would be a good place to bring the kids out to dinner with us (22 months, 3, & 8yrs old). It started with a 7pm reservation that seemed non-existant, because we weren't seated for at least 30 minutes, the cook/chef looked more miserable to be at work then he probably should have (barely cracked a smile at the kids!)& the overall sense of being rushed through dinner was most offensive, considering that they were in no rush to get us seated at the time of our reservation to begin with. Overall for the price we paid, we could have had a much better, quality meal and would not have been rushed they way we were. Never again!"

"Overall we liked our meal but had two complaints on the ride home.
1. The food was bland. Needed more salt/pepper. I think this was caused by a guest at the table that kept warning the staff that he didn't want butter in his food. So the chef punished us all by cutting back on butter and seasonings in fear the guy would complain.
2. The chef could have done more to get my table motivated in his show. He did no tricks and made little effort to impress us"

"A beautiful establishment. Reservations recommended. Don't drive a large car and expect to find parking. The parking spaces are a nightmare if your car is not compact. The dining chair I was sitting in was extremely wobbly, thought it was going to break (I'm only 130 lbs)! Their drinks were very weak tasting as well as the soup that comes with the entree. There wasn't much of a 'show' put on while our food was prepared. They do however serve a large portion of food! I LOVED the shrimp!!! Leftovers tasted even better the next day. Not sure the high price was justifiable though. No complaints, but probably will stick with my usual place next time."

"We had a reservation and still were kept waiting 45 minutes. The waitress was so overworked. She had too many tables. We were done with the meal and had to wait 20 minutes for the check. Despite reviewing the correct check, we were charged for someone else's. We had to wait another 10 minutes for that to be corrected. And the food seemed unflavorful. We are never going back."
