"As for my experience regarding the food I ordered. The cook did not pay any attention on how I wanted the fried chicken rice to have extra garlic butter. I had also requested teriyaki on my grilled chicken, cook did not do put any. As for the cooking of the chicken and the shrimp appetizer, and the large shrimp that came with the dinner> they were all rubbery and no taste. No sesame seeds on anything. There were 6 in our party and no one was impressed with their food. Also there were a lot of higher-ups(management) walking around which caused us to be uncomfortable for some reason. And I think that the cook felt nervous as well."

"First off the sushi ON POINT!!! I had the hibachi also and loved the show . it was my moms first time there and it was for sure keeping her entertained. the mixed drinks were amazing :) I had one of their mojitos and it blew my mind how delicious it was. I cant compare this benihanas to others because I haven't been to others but I have been to other hibachi grills but in Florida and it was way better on all levels."

"This was a retirement party for a co worker. Benihanas created a wonderful experience.
The only negative, I was told the Teppan Bar could accommodate 10-11 people. We had a party of 10 and it was extremely tight. It was uncomfortable but we made do.

"Been here before, but my fiance hadnt. So i took him there for his bday. Our main chef, the one with the spot light, seem tired, and out of it. Maybe it was late for him? He burned his fingers a couple of times (i felt bad for him). Maybe he was new? He was so quiet, I couldnt hear him, and i was sitting right to the left of him! He had two basic moves that awed us, and that was it -_- ive seen better performances in the past! So sad and dissapointed. My fiance's first time at this restaurant was a bust!"

"Benihana - Puente Hills has been the best Benihana location in my opinion for several years now. Although there are some other finely managed locations (Carlsbad comes to mind), this Benehana location always delivers a phenomenal experience. The service is always prompt and friendly, the cooks are masterful and entertaining and the food is consistently stellar and remarkable. If I lived closer to this location I would easily be here a couple of time a time a month! This location is great for entertaining small groups of 6-10 for social events such as holidays, birthdays, etc. And they have excellent cocktails too!"

"My husband and I go to Benihana's whenever we get a chance. We really enjoy the food and the cooking entainment. However, on my last visit the hostess kept reaching over me and my food to accommodate others at our table. She seemed to lazy to walk around to the other side to serve. This is not what I usually encounter at Benihana's but on Thursday 4/4/13 the hostess was rude in this manner. Also on our previous visit I could see straight into the kitchen from my seat where they were carving up steaks. It was gross and I think they should have done this in a space where they could not be seen from the dinner tables. I complained to the hostess, she told the manager, and he said sorry, they have to carve the meat up at this time."

"This is the place to go where both parents and kids enjoy dining. Foods are cooked at your table thru the entertaining chef.
I always suggest to go here with a reservation as the place is nearly always full.
My kid always look forward to see "Spongebob" that is done by the chef while cooking the eggs. You get great sushi and sashimi selection which is not to be an appetizer for some if your going to have an entree.
The entree is really filling and good tasting. You get soup, shrimp appetizer, veggies
, rice and then the meat or seafood depending on your order. You get two sauces, one for the meat and the other for seafood and vegetable.

"Server dropped our appetizer and never came back with a replacement. She didn't even compensate us for not giving us our order. Most decent restaurants would have not only still served it but perhaps even gave it for free. She acted like nothing happened. "the chef really offended me. he made zuchini for everyone and gave me (1)piece of my husbands because he didn't have enough on his tray. we had the special (filet mignon/chicken) and it was not good at all. the oil that he used (and he used an excess of it) tasted old. "Always have a great time, especially watching the chefs/cooks do their 'thing' as they prepare our meals in front of us. The food is always excellently prepared and served with a flare, and the food itself is delicious, especially the chicken fried rice."

"Always a treat to dine at Benihana for the food and the show. Didn't have an energentic chef or crowd at the table but it was still a good experence. The chef was very capable but rather low-key. Place was crowded with a lot of noise and some tables were obviously having a good time. the meal itself was great and its timing was well paced."

"This was my first time at Benihana. I signed up to get the gift certificate for my birthday. My birthday happens to be on Valentine's Day when the GC is not valid. However, the gift certificate was good for the whole month. I went with my wife. I was bummed to that the GC didn't work for their Chef's Special (Dinner for two) but no big deal. Food was good (slightly salty). The chef's tricks were okay but nothing spectacular. Food was good. However, without the $30 gift certificate, would not be worth the price. Plus, GC only worked for my order, not my wife's. The discount applied was only $28. Would be good for friends with close birthdays. Everyone could practically eat for free."

"Our 2nd experience at the restaurant was not as good as the 1st. The waiter was not enthusiastic and just seemed like a cook from anywhere. He mixed up the 2 orders, one person ordered no calamari and he mixed some of that order with the calamari order. Also since she ordered no calamari, it seemed maybe she got 1 or 2 shrimp extra. It seemed like 2 scallops and 4 shrimp was alittle expensive for what you got. My salmon was dry, on the grill too long and the steak was tough.The rest of us were mediocre. For the amount of the bill, I would think we went to a fancy dinner but wasnt very pleased with the whole experience."
