Benihana - Ontario
Since Benihana first opened its doors in Ontario in 1998 it has remained one of the Inland Empire's premier restaurants to gather with friends, family and business associates. The very design of the building evokes images of a trip to Japan, and within the senses are filled with the delightful experience that awaits. Twenty-two teppan tables set the stage for fun where your own personal chef prepares a meal of steak, chicken, seafood and vegetables all cooked to perfection right before your eyes. Sushi appetizers can be ordered in the dining room or a whole sushi feast can be enjoyed in the sushi bar which offers an array of creative seafood tastes. Located just off the 10 Freeway near Ontario International Airport and five minutes from the Ontario Convention Center. Open daily. Plenty of off-street parking.

"My family truly enjoyed our Mother's Day dinner at Benihana's. The food was delicious and every bit was savored along with the service that was wonderful. The other guest parties sharing the dinner table engaged in conversation and enjoyed one another's company. I'm also thankful to OpenTable for allowing online reservations. My understanding is that the wait was at least two hours. So, thank you it was great!"

"Our previous experience to this visit was not a good one. But my daughter chose the restaurant to celebrate her 16th birthday because she loves the food. From the moment we sat down, the experience was wonderful. The waitress Maki was delightful. We were disappointed when she had to take a break during our meal. We were not disappointed with the chef, Julio due to his kindness and extra touches on the preparation of the food. He definitely wanted to do his best and he succeeded!! He added some special procedures to make the food even better than usual. These two wonderful people made my daughter's 16th birthday special. We felt like part of the Benihana family and didn't want to leave."

"We haven't been to a Benihana's in a few year, and we were so pleased!. They seated us on time and the service was great. My kids enjoyed the whole experience so much they forgot to be "picky eaters" and tried all of what was put in front of them. The chef was great and engaged the whole table. Food was wonderful and worth every penny. Kids are already asking to go again!"

"I thought that the atmospher was great. I was supprised at the kids at the table next to us. As my wife and I enjoyed our first time there, and the wonderful atmosphere with the low lighting (but lit well enough to be able to watch every move, as our meals were prepared right in front of us). It was amazing to see these kids having the same reactions and having just as much fun as all of the adults. I found that the mood of the place was what you made of it. I would think it would be a great first date location, as you could be as intimet as you liked. You can keep to the two of you or interact with the new friends at the table. Strangly enough, I think its a great way to get to know someone without all the awkwardness."

"I have not been to a Benihana restaurant since I was a little girl and thought this would be fun for my daughters birthday. It was such a great experience and my kids talked about it for two days. They are still wearing their menu hats and have asked when we can go back again. The staff was very attentive to her and the fact that it was her birthday. She felt so very special. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. I am very pleased with everything. Thank you for making my daughters birthday so special."

"I came here to celebrate my daughters birthday. I arrived at aprox 7:15pm trying to hopeful get seated a lil earlier than our reservation time with was at 8pm but did not happen which I understand but we actually were seated at almost 8:30 when our reservations were at 8 and we had arrived extra early. Due to this we finished dinner really late and my daughters were super tired and didn't really get to enjoy their dinner much. I just hope next time if we do have reservations we can get seated a lil earlier or at least at our exact time other than that everything else was great. Thank you."

"The tall bartender was so RUDE at the bar. It started the whole evening off on a bit of a sour note. I tipped him HUGE because I knew HE KNEW what he had done - and he never once said thanks. There were 6 of us - we all ordered drinks. My son asked if he could also order a hand-roll (we were the only 6 at the bar). This bartender says in an aggressive tone, "Why don't you wait until I get the drinks ordered - first?!" My son asked if he should just go to the Sushi Bar. This bartender walked away without answering. When the bartender finished making and serving the drinks my son asked if he could order the hand-roll now? The bartender said in a sarcastic tone "Oh! I thought you were going to the Sushi bar" Not nice."

"The chef did not do the shakies with the knifes in the beginning, did not make a heart out of rice with pumping heart, in general the were less tricks than usual. Too bad, because I brought my brother and a friend telling them about those things before and hoping that they would see them live, but instead I had to direct their attention to other tables where it was happening after our chef was gone - disappointed. When I reported it to the manager - the only thing I got back was "sorry"."

"My wife and I celebrated our 13th anniversary by returning to the scene of one of our very first dates. Benihana brought back some great memories. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the chef is very entertaining. The staff goes out of their way to insure that your experience is a memorable one. "First ever horrible time. Table chef did not talk and lacked the skill needed to make it a fun show. He was rude and made the table very uncomfortable. He looked down at the cooking surface and never made eye contact and didn't smile. Ignored special requests."
