"We had dinner and cocktails at the restaurant prior to a show downstairs. Food was delicious, great variety of cocktails and attentive, friendly service. Huge steps forward on comedy club dining. Would definitely go again."

"Yeah, I said it. I've had brunch at dozens of restaurants in NYC and this was the best one. Their chocolate chip cookie dough pancakes smothered w/ chocolate sauce, strawberries, and bananas ruined all food for me. I tried to eat my favorite homemade dinner later that night and was actually depressed because it wasn't these pancakes. The eggs benedict was delicious and I am very picky about my favorite brunch dish. The breakfast tater tots covered with cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, served with spicy ketchup was likewise delicious. If their pretzel bread pudding with vanilla Amaretto sauce was a man I would leave my husband. I'll definitely be back to this place. The whole experience was like Christmas morning for my stomach."

"we had to wait for 15 minutes for a reserved table. they gave us a fruit plate and a bunch of free tickets to see comedy to make up for it. the food was good. once we were seated the service was great."

"I had a great time at the Stand, the food was "clever" and exceptionally well prepared, the atmosphere relaxed, staff more than friendly and forthcoming, I will go again!"

"This was the first time we ate at Upstairs at the Stand. It is a very hidden gem. You would never know it when you pass it. It is right next door to Paddy McGuire's! The hostess was awesome...so nice, sweet and accommodating. Our waiter was really nice and the food came out quickly. But, just a few things, we had to ask for utensils...spoons for coffee and knife for our crab cakes benedict. Other than that, it was super...the cookie dough pancakes are a must have! I will definitely go there again...it's the perfect weekend brunch place!"

"Upstairs at The Stand was a good place for a casual bite, but definitely not a restaurant for foodies or those looking for a nice meal. The food was good and the service excellent, but the layout, decor and vibe of the place make it hard to forget that you're really in a bar/comedy club."

"We ordered the mushroom burger and the chicken paillard. The burger was fantastic, but unfortunately the chicken was very rubbery and borderline inedible. But the service was fantastic and the waiter kindly replaced my order and gave me a discount on the bill for the inconvenience. Cocktails were tasty as well."

"The atmosphere was great, with a good buzz at the bar - especially before a comedy show downstairs (which we did not attend). There is a good food selection (though on the day we went, 3 dishes and few beers were not available)- we had the crab burgers which were brilliant. The staff was friendly and gave good recommendations. We would recommend this as a place to friends, but would mention the prices are fairly steep."
