"Service was great, food was quite good. Not a huge selection for Mother's Day brunch, but definitely enough to satisfy. Restaurant was very empty and I wasn't too excited about the view. A lot of concrete. Maybe the view is nicer at night with the lights. May go back, but not sure. It was fine. Not good, not bad, just ok."

"Very friendly and courteous wait staff. Food was tasty and presented very nicely on dishes.
Kalani's Kal Bi is excellent, meat just comes off bone and very tasty. Salmon with furukake simple and tasty. Duck confeit salad was excellent.

"Decided to take my wife here for her 40th birthday for dinner. Food was nice, would have to say allot better than most of the places you can eat at in waikiki. Was impressed how they took note of my comment in my online reservation about it being my wife's birthday and they brought out a complimentary birthday cake and icecream. Was a great way to top off the dinner for my wife."

"This place came highly recommended. My boyfriend proposed right before we got to the restaurant (which I had no idea about). We were going here because the next day he was getting deployed. The best service we got was calling the front desk to ask for directions. Waitstaff was friendly, but not exceptional. They had the typical tourist trap of having someone walking around asking if you wanted your picture taken. They paid no mind to the fact that we had just gotten engaged. The food was average, especially for the price. We went during happy hour, however they were very reluctant to tell us any of the specials. The view was beautiful and going there at sunset is a great idea. Overall it was good experience."

"Great food, mazing view. Staff was very respectful and friendly. Great for dinner with friends of romantic night out. Very pleased and coming back for sure. My friend and I very late 40 minutes because of traffic but receptionist didn't have any problems ti find us a table in less then 5 minutes also we didn't park and their hotel parking but they still validate our ticket. Thank you"

"I brought my husband to celebrate his birthday, there was 10 of us total including children. I will never go back, although the food was good, the service was terrible . This restaurant was by far the worst experience I've ever had from all the fine dining I have dined in, From entering the restaurant the hostess was rude, we made reservations but added 2 more to our party, she made faces that made me want to turn around saying they are fully booked, made comments about who was paying tonight and expected someone to wash dishes. Knowing that we were Kamaaina, the restaurant asked if we had HI ID and we adults said yes, she added that all the kids needed to bring their I'D as well ? Seriously, kids with their ID ? I have more but it wont fit"

Food was very good. I had the smaller prie-fix. the only complaint i have is the fish plate tasted more like a frozen fish than fresh. Also had the duck which was very good. Portions were good sized.
A little pricey, but the food was good and the scenery very nice."

"After carefully questioning the waiter as to the quality of the boneless Kal Bi, and being assured that it was authentic, I ordered it. 1/2 bite and I sent it back. Think Pot Roast with a dab of bottled Teriyaki sauce. I ordered the duck to replace it and it was poor. Undercooked, very fatty(even for duck), and barely warm. Nothing like cold duck fat. Though the service was excellent, and the view is breathtaking, I will not go back."

"We had a wonderful experience at Top of Waikiki. It's been a few years since we were there. Sherry was a wonderful hostess & let us know about the kamaaina special for April! Awesome!!! We had to have the whole lobster & ribeye for $29 each. We shared the seafood paella risotto for our appetizer. All dishes were DELICIOUS! I also loved the lilikoi coconut cheesecake. We returned the next night with more friends to enjoy the great food & wonderful service. Allan & CJ were a great team that we will ask for when we return to Top of Waikiki."

"The noise level was too high as the bar is located in the middle of the restaurant, so having a quiet special occasion meal was difficult. We let them know we were there for our 25th anniversary, yet there was no acknowledgement of it. The food was good but not great. The greatest draw to this restaurant is the views."

"We had talked about going to the Top of Waikiki for supper for quite a while but, for various reasons, we never did. Then, when we had company visiting, we decided to take them out. "The view during sunset must be amazing. We went after sunset & still enjoyed the lights of Waikiki. The restaurant was almost empty though. If you are looking for a quite dining experience , this is it. (I assume dinner during sunset is very different.) Our server was great, although our entrees came out before we had finished half of our soup/salad. The corn chowder was the highlight of the meal. Nothing else was memorable."

"I heard a lot of wonderful things about Top of Waikiki. So, we had to try it for ourselves. First, was the view from the location was wonderful 360 degrees in about hour from the time you sit down for dinner. Second, the food was not as good as we told it would be. Third, slow service which, I did not experience. Good service.
Most items on the menu were very over-priced. We don’t mind paying for quality food, but the quality was very poor to our standard. We will not be returning to this establishment in the future."

"We enjoyed the food and service, however we were asked if we were there for food or happy hour and we told them both. We were seated in the restaurant and told we could not participate in happy hour while seated in the restaurant area, however this is a revolving restaurant and the bar is in the center hub of the room and only one tier above our level.We observed people being seated and ordering food at the bar level and participating in happy hour. We were both disappointed and confused by this policy as we wanted to participate in happy hour and food service as well."

"The food was great and very tasty. The service was excellent with very friendly people. We did not wait for anything. The restauant was very alive as there were a lot of people in the bar for happy hour. The steak and lobster cakes were excellent with a great flavour. We will definately return as this was our fourth year in a row visiting your restaurant while on vacation in Waikiki. We look forward to next year. Keep up the great work and standards."

"The food was terrible - seemed to be cooked by some amateur who does not know how to balance flavour but just chucked as much of what was around in! The mains were so terrible that we cancelled the desserts - too risky to try. Nonetheless the bills seemed astronomical!"

"The dining experience at Top of Waikiki was average at best. Their advertising and prices suggest fine dining experience. Whereas in reality, there were guests in t-shirts and cut-off jeans, obviously over-served, creating a disruption, that management did not address. The food was nicely presented and quite good, which is fortunate, as our server did not check on the food quality until we were nearly finished. Overall our dining experience was disappointing for the special occasion it was meant to be."

"We arrived early and sat on the bar level, which was bumpin' at around 7:30/7:45PM. Our server at the bar area was a bit awkward, but nice. We were much more comfortable after being seated in the real dining area with our true dinner server. Service was great - our server had some stellar recommendations. The Crab Louie and Blackened Seared Ahi were scrumptious starters. My entree was fab! I had the garlic ribeye - perfect for any meat lover! My bf enjoyed his shrimp linguine. And the Lilikoi Coconut Cheesecake was phenomenal. It was refreshingly light and bursting with flavor! I'd definitely have the cheesecake again.
Overall, a guaranteed divine dining experience -- can't beat the view!"

"Far too noisy for an enjoyable dinner. Tables are on top of each other. Service was slow initially (waiting to order a drink, and the drinks to arrive), but improved after ordering the meal. Also, though I had a reservation, I had to wait; I noted others did as well. And, when we left, folks were crowded into a small space to wait. I understand it was an unusually busy time."
