The Bell & Anchor is the newest restaurant venture from David Loewenberg & Sam McCleland (owners of the popular Beacon in Sag Harbor).

"I was expecting the food to be amazing. it was good, but not great and Not what I expect when I'm footing a $200 bill for 2, I expect amazing and they fell short. The tuna tartar and the mussels were just okay. The sauces on both were missing something and I love both and eat them regularly but not here again. I did like the local oysters, but overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. There are much better ones to choose from."

"This restaurant was way over-priced and disappointing. My daugher ordered fish and chips, which consisted of undistiguished, unseasoned breaded whitefish, burnt french fries, and a dollop of cole slaw--for $26.00. It should have cost about $9.00. The restaurant decor was what you would expect in a pub, not a gourmet restaurant. It has a scruffy wood floor and old furniture. My salmon dinner was not very hot or particularly tasty. My wife ordered a salad which she couldn't eat."

"If you're ever in Sag Harbor, this is a must dine at place! We started with the clam chowder and you can taste how fresh the seafood is. Everything on the menu has been perfectly made to reflect the quality of it's ingrediants and the passion behind the recipes and the team that works there. It's about a 7 minute drive from Main Street Sag Harbor, worth the taxi cab ride. They had us at "table for two?""
