Chef Jay Caputo cooks up Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, using fresh produce from local farmers in menu offerings like Chesapeake crab-stuffed scallion crêpe served with ruby red grapefruit, cucumber, and avocado; seared breast of Giannone Farms air-chilled chicken served with roasted cauliflower, red onions, cauliflower puree, spinach, and Madeira; seared line-caught Casco Bay merlu served with oven-roasted tomatoes, Lyonnaise potatoes, and lobster-saffron essence; and blood orange mojitos. "Interesting and creative menu. Quality of the food and perpetration was excellent. Service was outstanding. We had the pork cheek and the mushroom ravioli and enjoyed both. Not cheap but similar to many other Rehoboth restaurants. Had not been here for several years and sorry we waited so long."

"We went to Espuma for the first time on Mother's Day and we were absolutely loved it. The staff is friendly and fun, and the atmosphere of the entire restaurant is relaxed and pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious as were the cocktails we enjoyed. We will definitely be returning!"

"I really wanted to love Espuma......the restaurant was packed, every table taken, and there was only 1 waiter for the whole place. I felt bad for him, he wasn't able to keep up. We chatted with him as we asked for the check and he was very apologetic. You could tell he was a very good server, just in a bad spot that night. Our first course was awful, no taste whatsoever except for the "been sitting in the fridge to long" taste of the grilled romaine. The homemade sour dough bread was stale. I have to say, however, that even though it took over an hour for the entree to come, both of our main courses were spectacular. Another hour went by before our very boring, tasteless desserts arrived."

"We loved this restaurant. Definitely not dinner as usual. Very interesting menu and drink menu choices. Each dish was unique and visually striking. The taste was spot on. We will go back the next time we are in Rehoboth."

"We really enjoyed our visit. The food was all good. The paella was fantastic - the best I have ever had! We also really enjoyed the wine flights. The food runners could have done a better job at presenting the food and wine (I.e., letting you know what they were bringing when they brought it since you order several plates), but our server always answered all of our questions."

"This was a huge disappointment. We had been so excited to try Esupma based on the reviews and the chef being nominated for three James Beard awards. I have no idea why, as the only seasoning in the food was salt, my medium rare steak was a charbroiled mess, and the only notable thing about the meal was that it took an hour to get our entrees even though there were only two other tables in the whole restaurant. Do not waste your money here. We had a great dinner at Eden the night before and would recommend them instead."

"Visited during April 2013 and had an excellent meal. Hostess/waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and guided us for a real treat. We ate at many other fine Rehoboth restaurants during our visit but none came close to Espuma."

"A neighbor recommended Espuma to my wife and I. We decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary there, based on David's description of the restaurant. It was a FANTASTIC experience. Our server, Florina, was the nicest, most professional and accommodating wait staff person we have ever met in the Rehoboth/Lewes area ... and we have been living/dining here for nearly 20 years. The food was magnificent. You have to try Espuma.

"Small menu of unique and outstanding items. Wait staff very knowledgeable about the offerings and can give advice on what might fit your likes. No loud music so easy to relax and have a conversation. One of the best in Rehobeth."

"We like to return here when we visit Rehoboth Beach. A little pricey, but the food and service are great! The menu is not extensive, but has variety and changes periodically. Everything is thoughtfully prepared and presented. A unique dining experience! GPS Challenge: Although the address is listed as Wilmington Ave. at the corner with First St., the entrance is midway down the block on First."

"TY welcomed us as we walked in and the rest of the evening was wonderful from the yummy drinks and appetizers, that were discounted during Happy Hour (4-7).
After enjoying the Happy Hour specials our party of 5 moved to a lovely table lite by candle light.
MOnday night is Paella night and we enjoyed the meal and the presentation.
It was a perfect evening to celebrate our friends permanent move to DE. We plan to check out the Happy HOur again real soon as well as a dinner out, doesn't have to be a special occassion, its that good.
Ask for Ty he is GREAT!"

"The last several times I dined at Espuma, the food was amazing! This time, however, I was disappointed. Not sure what happened. Maybe it just happened to be what I ordered."

"Excellent meal. Going off season to this beach-town restaurant, I was worried service would be lacking or the menu would be limited. They did initially tell us, to my wife's disappointment that they were out of the ravioli dish. However, they later told us that they made some more, and were kind enough to cancel her order to change to the ravioli, which she loved. The mushroom bisque was great as well. Presentation on all dishes was very nice, and you could tell the chef was creative. My scallop entree was delicious. A nice spot for groups or couples, the only drawback was our table in the back needed a little more light. It was hard to read the menu. Also it's a bit more expensive than opentable notes, but worth every penny."

"we were there on a very slow night-it was snowing and the roads were very base. Our server was OK, but it seemed to take a long time to receive our food. The food was good, but not comparable to the prices charged. The best feature of the meal was the bouche, it was fantastic. However, there are many restaurants in the area I would rather visit, primarily due to the high cost to value relationship."
