"We ran 15min late to our reservation so I called n let them know n they said its ok . Once we got there they told me to wait 20min for our table n go to the bar b they will come get us. We were 8 in my party, 20 to 30 min passed n no one approced us for our table so I went up to the hostess n they told me its gonna b another 20 min so I was till nice about it but my guest were not , long story short they maid us wait 2 1/2 hours till we were seated finally ! We only waited cause we like thier food !"

"Aventine has very good food, a great outdoor dining space, a huge wine list, and wonderful service. A huge risotto fan, but not a big salmon fan, I asked the waiter if there were any other risotto options aside from the special, which was a salmon risotto. He asked the chef and the chef made me a wonderful wild mushroom risotto. The mushrooms were among the best I've ever eaten! My wife enjoyed her fish dish a lot. The somallier (sp) was friendly and knowledgeable, and chose great wines for us in our price range. The vibe of Aventine was mellow and the outdoor space peaceful. We will definitely return!"

"...than food, this might be your spot. We had reservations for a late dinner (9:30 pm). But upon our arrival, we were informed by an attitudinal hostess and manager duo that our table wasn't ready. Over 30 minutes later, we were finally seated. In the plus column, this is a fun place to be and it's a striking indoor/outdoor space. Even better Aventine is a lively place to have dinner LATE, a tougher find than one would think in a city as large as Los Angeles. But everything takes way too long --especially drinks. The food? Just okay, especially considering Aventine's price point matches that of so many other better Italian options. The pizza was bland and the chicken greasy (on two visits). But the salads and house-made pastas were tasty."

"There was 13 of us. So it can be a challenge. The place is magnificent. So Beautiful.....
The Bar & drinks were great. The servers were great. The people in charge of seating us, I think, the success has gotten to their head, so not very nice & courteous. But the grils were great.

"Great service and ambiance for sure. It's a trendy spot. I felt like the food wasn't all there. We had the lamb and steak dish along with the halibut special. The lamb was missing that fresh tender kick to it. The steak was dull and too chewy. It was a thick piece of meat, but it didn't taste too fresh as well. The halibut was nice in some parts of it and dried in the other."

"This place tries to be a fancy hip Hollywood restaurant but the reality is it is just a fancy pizza place with so so Italian food. Service is sub par and staff seem a bit cheesy.Our waitress was old and cranky and didn't know very much about the menu. Pizza is ok but pricey. The place was freezing and they had no interest in closing the garage door opening."

"Really? Yet another Hollywood club masquerading as a restaurant. Will someone please open a restaurant in Hollywood where people actually care about the food? Can't some of you chefs from Santa Monica, Napa, San Francisco, Paso Robles, etc. come to our rescue here in Hollywood? SOS!"

"Found the food and service to be very good. Would not suggest this place for a
romantic date since the tables are very crowded together, and all of the
conversations can get very loud. Overall, our party of four enjoyed the restaurant
and all of our food choices. the Osso Bucco was excellent and the mushroom ravioli
very good. Would not consider the Prime Ribeye steak a good value due to the $45.00
price, everything else is faily prices and a good value."

"Easily the best restaurant I have been to lately. Between the stellar service and delicious food, the aventine is a place that is going to be making a lot of noise in the foodie and nightlife communities. I couldn't recommend another restaurant more than this place. They really made my valentines day with my fiancé extra special."

"Went here for Valentines dinner, first time, food was excellent, sat on "outside" patio which kind of felt indoors but no roof, was absolutely beautiful, had warmer-stands up so didn't feel the chill at all, great wine selection, service was amazing and agian food was excellent! Did feel a bit rushed at end of meal when handed bill without asking but given that it was Valentines day and probably a lot of volume that night I don't hold it against them, outside of that the service was perfect, never had to wait for silverware or food or refills, would highly recommend for a date night!"
