"This restaurant is just outstanding- I don't know what else to say! Every bite of food is an experience. If anyone thinks they know what Mexican cuisine is, they need to come here because Eduardo is a master of his craft. He takes the ingredients of Mexican cooking to a new level of excellence. This was our second time at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back! The service was impeccable too"

"Our waiter was really bad. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come by our table and by that time, my husband and I knew what we wanted to eat. After we ordered, I overheard another waiter tell a couple the specials for the night. I mentioned this to our waiter and his response was that we knew what we wanted to order. A good waiter would ask you if you would like to hear the specials. He told us the specials but I did not want our food to take any longer so I left it with what I originally ordered. Our waiter also forgot my husbands wine. My husband waited 15 minutes and then had to ask him to bring it. We did not have a good experience here."

"From start to finish, a flawless meal. Service was outstanding, attentive without being intrusive. Recommend you consider whatever appetizer or entree specials are being offered. We had the snapper special which was very good. The pork chops are a standard and while I prefer fish I had them and was impressed by tenderness. The cilantro soup is outstanding, hope it remains a constant. Go and you will not be disappointed. Order a Malbec, good quality and well priced."

"We have been there several times during the last couple of years. The restaurant is located on an unpretentious small shopping mall, it has intimacy with few small rooms and it is quiet and pleasant. The food is upscale mexican and it is overall good. The portions are enormous but lack in innovation and presentations. It is expensive by any standard. The wine list is limited and there are only few offering by the glass, all unreasonably expensive. The service varies with the server you get: some are outstanding, other try to compensate knowledge with enthusiasm."

"Food is delicious - we've been going here for a couple of years now. The service is always outstanding - attentive but not intrusive. My only critique would be a larger variety of specials. While they are all delicious, the same ones appear so frequently that they should really be just a part of the regular menu."

Food is outstanding -- highly recommend the fish. Specials always have something very good as well.
An atypical mexican experience -- dishes are well thought out and wine selection was very good.

"This a unique and wonderful neighborhood gem of a restaurant. Excellent food, Excellent service. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the atmosphere upon entering the restaurant was too quiet. The small dining area didn't bother me, it was the awkard quietness. I heard music very faint from the other side of the restaurant, but not where we were dining. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were phenominal !! The waitstaff is professional and courteous. Add ambience...and it's a 5 star spot."

"Although we had a very nice meal at ESA, it did not live up to the hype. From what I had heard I was expecting extraordinary food. What we got was tasty (and huge portions) but not particularly memorable and the prices were steep. I had the starter of corn and crab cakes. The two huge patties were fine but I have had better crab cakes in many other places. My entree was the lamb chops. The three large meaty chops were cooked very well and not at all gamey, but a bit under-seasoned and not especially memorable. The sides on the plate were kind of boring. My companion had the mahi-mahi special, which seemed a bit more interesting because of the sauce."

"As many reviewers note this is not a Mexican food restaurant. The owner and chef is Mexican, and some dishes clearly have Mexican spices and sauces. The food is quite good, portions are plentiful. The wine list is extensive and there are very few reasonably priced options. Expect to pay +$50 per bottle. No hard liquor. Sangria tasty but pricey at $10 per glass, mostly ice. Share your appetizers, salads, and desserts. TIM is an excellent server."

"I had the cactus with the pork medallions as a starter. The cactus and sauce were outstanding, the pork was extremely over cooked. I then had the calamari salad which was very good. I wish the server had told me the portions were large, because I could have stopped after the appetizer. I then had desert, forget what it was called, it had whipped cream with fruit - and it was amazing. The wine list was comprehensive, a little expensive. All in all, I think everyone had a great time."
