"It could have been the company I was with for this fine evening of dinner and gambling, but either way it was one of the best dinner experiences either of us have had in a long time. We had a nice half bottle of Perrier Jouet, along with the pork belly appetizer. A pairing brought down from the heavens above. Followed by our meals, my date enjoyed the Filet and I had the Bison Ribeye. Let me tell you the steaks were cooked to perfection and paired with mashed potatoes, spaghetti squash, and perfectly cooked greens. We opted out of dessert, but from my past dining here the desserts are amazing. Now onto the service. From the moment we arrived we were treated like gold. The hostess', the waitstaff, and everyone in between. TOP NOTCH"

"My husband and I ate at Masselow's two eveings in a row while staying at the Northern Quest Hotel. The atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and relaxing. The food was outstanding both evenings and the service very good. The wait staff was very responsive to requests and critiques,although there were very few concerns while we were there. Excellent restaurant overall and we do plan to return."

"The food was outstanding: the appetizer we ordered were the oysters,and scallops which were the best I have ever had. The oysters were fresh and the condiments that accompained them were perfect. The scallops were a treat in themselves. The casear salad reminded me of the caesar salads that they use to make at Louie D's restaurant years ago fresh at your table. It was fresh and every bite was like the first.
Our entrees were the saffron shrimp with orzo in a cream sauce. I thought I had gone to heaven eating this meal, the shrimp tasted like lobster, and my husband had the veal, it was tender and flavorful,he'd order it again in a second.
Our server, Corey was excellent, we ordered everything he recommended. He was great!"

"The food was fine, service was fine, I guess I am not a 4 or 5 star person. When they brought the bread I thought I was getting something special, ended up with one little dinner roll that I use to get when I was a kid, had a hard time trying to taste the 3 different butters. Why wouldn't you leave a basket of 4 rolls or cut up bread. Ordered lamb, very good for the 2 chops I received, why wouldn't you do 3 or maybe 4 like other people do. Wife had scallops, 4 little scallops...I realize these type of restaurants you get little food , high price. Waiters tend to be on the stuffy side, had a hard time kidding with people, guess that goes along with 5 stars..In all, good food , good service."

"We finally got around to trying Masselow's and I was expecting it to live up to its hype, but we were disappointed. The food was ok but my husband and I ordered different cuts of steak however they looked identical. The mashed potatoes looked as if they were plated from and ice cream scoop; I would expect more from such a highly rated restaurant.
We were going to order dessert - the dessert menu was presented very well - but the server didn't return for quite some time so we opted to get our check.
There are so many other great restaurant choices in Spokane that we probably won't go again unless it is someone else choice."

Felt accompaning mashed potatoes & other sides were much too small in portion (could have been twice the size) for the $44 - $48 meal price. Roles were also good and waitperson excellent, & also great about bringing us a second basket of such. Seemed to be a little longer time than appropriate between when roles were served and main course was prepared & arrived. However, overall, loved the intimate, romantic atmosphere of Masselows; most appropriate for this Valentine's Day occasion. Also appreciated the opportunity for us to book our reservation on-line. "Ate at Masselow's for Valentine's day dinner, should of ordered of the regular menue as they offered a Valentines's day Special, this special was way over priced, I work @ a retail meat counter and have showned the reciept to my customers and they (mostly profesional people) all look suprised at the total of $162.00 without the tip as being outragous. they served one tiny piece of indian fry bread, one small cup of clam chowder, one small tenderlion with 2 crab cakes and cherries jublie, my date only had 1 glass of wine and we had the bottle og sparkling water. Did not use the offer of $20.00 off breakfast the next morning as thought with those prices that would only cover a cup of coffee! My customers agree with me don't eat there!!"

"The food was not good. We had heard a lot of good things about this place and were excited about dining here but we're disappointed. The steak we ordered well done was rare and we had to send it back. Even after it was brought back out it was still a little pink. The steak on my salad was cold. "The soft shelled crabs were delightful. The portions for the scallops in the appetizer were a little small. The warm seaweed salad that came with the my husbands fish was just to fishy...The prices are very high and would only return for very special events. If the prices were more reasonable, I would make it destination more frequently. The service was excellent. The drinks were wonderful and my own company was even better. It was a nice start to my husband's 50th Birthday party and Army Reserve Retirement Party. Thank you."
