"My wife and I went to Margaux's for the first time in 2 years on Monday night. We were in search of soft shell crab and they had it. They had a vibrant bar scene and a full dining room. The front desk didn't have our reservation, which we made on open table, 11/2 hours before arriving. We were taken to a very loud table and asked for a change and then offered a table by the kitchen or in a corner. We took the corner. The service was slow and wine service poor at best. While the soft shell crab was excellent, the other items we ordered looked great but were not so great once we started eating them. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server never filled our glasses after the original opening and pour.

"A great local spot that has excellent food and surprising atmosphere for being in a strip mall. It's our go-to spot for a nice meal without having to travel downtown."

"The decor is a bit misleading as the restaurant is half medieval themed and half Asian themed; however, the waitstaff was very helpful at providing recommendations. The menu changes daily to reflect what is in season and the food was good."

"Awesome food, great service. Large portions. The unusual fare always is a delight as they use the freshest ingredients possible. Don't overlook the Soup of the Moment as the chefs combine unusual flavors to create some unique but tasty treats. It is tucked in a strip mall but once past the doors, you enter another world at another era."

"Margaux's has always been one of our favorites from the time I moved to the Raleigh area 19 years ago. Steve, the owner is always gracious and welcoming enjoys making certain each diner is having an enjoyable meal.
The wait staff has also been with Margaux's for quite some time which is an indication that they know their menu, wine, drinks very well and that they enjoy the management and enjoy working at the restaurant. Patricia"

"We dined at Margaux's to celebrate a birthday on a cold Thursday evening in February. We went at 6:15 p.m. in order to take advantage of their early bird specials. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. The Baseball Steak was flavorable, but exceptionally tough. The desserts were wonderful, and the service was good. We had heard wonderful things about Margaux's - and we were disappointed. It was okay but certainly not memorable."

"We were seated promptly and given menus and wine list, however, once we ordered the service became very slow. There were two other tables, one 2-top, one 4-top, that came in after us and were served and finished with their meals before we received our dinners. The food was very good, unusual selections and well presented. The waiter seemed inattentive and was indifferent when we inquired about the lateness of our dinner. Because the food was so good, I would give the restaurant another chance. But if the service is that slow again, I won't go back a third time."
