"We recently dined at Minerva's in Sioux Falls. It was a special occassion (35th wedding anniversary!) so not just ANY place would do. We immediately thought of Minerva's, based on past dining experiences there, and it did not disappoint! We arrived and were met w/a friendly greeting. We were seated right away in a great spot. Our waitress was personable with just the right amount of attentiveness. Then there is the food....fantastic! We highly recommend Minerva's!"

"We went to Minerva's for Mother's Day Brunch. I would not recommend going on Mother's day again. We got seated and our server disappeared. A table of 16 was seated after us ( a table of 3) and they got their drink orders before ours was even taken. The food was the same way, all received their food before us. It seemed like FOREVER before we got our 3 meals. It was very disappointing!"

"I brought my fiance out to eat and we both had an amazing time. The food was absolutely amazing. We got there somewhat early, about 5 and had reservations. Didn't really need them, but it was good to be guaranteed a seat. The only complaint on my part was the server. She did a good job, and did her job well, but it was not the kind of service you would expect from such a nice restaurant. I work as a bartender and server in a upscale private club and I feel like there was just something missing from the service being provided. But she did her job well and took care of us. It was my only complaint. I had a very pleasant evening with my fiance and we enjoyed it."

"I would not go back to this establishment. The waiter talked about budget cuts for not serving what is in the menu. My drink had lemon seeds stuck to the bottom of the glass. The wait staff would much rather talk about his other jobs vs because he didn't seem to enjoy working there. Overall experience for a nice place to take my wife on an anniversary dinner was quite un-enjoyable."

"My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we had not been to Minervas in quite some time. We both had a steak and they were both in the top 5 of any steak that we have eaten. We would enjoy eating at Minervas more often but it is a little bit out of our price range.But we will eat there again on special ocasions."

"I often go to Minerva's for their lunch buffet, which is wonderful. This time, I made a reservation for a total of ten people for lunch before the St. Patrick's Day parade. I was a bit concerned that it would be overly crowded and our table would not be ready, etc. But everything was ready when we arrived (fifteen minutes early). We were put in a back area with several other large tables set up for lunch. Everyone was pleased with their lunch. Several of us got the salad bar. I tried one of the St. Patrick's Day specials (Shepherd's Pie); it was very tasty! The staff were friendly and efficient, as always. Even with a large group on a busy day, Minerva's did not disappoint!"

"I enjoyed the prime rib that I had, and my girlfriend enjoyed her steak and Alfredo. The only issues I had were that I wasn't able to get a reservation at 6 o clock, and had to take a reservation at 5 instead. But when 6 o clock rolled around, the restaurant was empty still. Also my prime rib wasn't the best I have ever had, but it was still very good. I would have preferred either more Au Jus on my plate, or the Au Jus on the side. But my girlfriend's sirloin was delicious, and the salad bar was great. The servers were outstanding. I never had an empty glass."

"Minerva's provides consistently excellent food. The atmosphere is warm and the background music is just right - not too loud or too soft. I always appreciate restauranats where it is easy to converse without talking over loud music. Minerva's is always a great place to relax and enjoy an excellent meal and conversation. "With confirmed reservations on Friday, March 8 we were greeted to an overly crowded lobby. SDSU women's basketball team in the house. With that it was still a twenty minute wait for our table of eight. Overbooked? Server Deb was quick to see to our drink orders and once our entire table assembled she took our dinner order. The south dining room that we were in kept getting smaller with a manager struggling to set up an additional table. He needed a bigger foot to kick the legs into place. Disturbing. Dinner entrees arrive, all is well until my wife tried her scallops. Over seasoned. One of our dinner companions mahi mahi was burnt and sent back. My duck was over the top! Very good."

Never had a bad meal at Minerva's and I've been dining there almost monthly for the past 10 years. "My wife and I enjoyed out meals; however, it took about 40 minutes from the time we ordered our food until it was brought out from the kitchen. Not everyone was experiencing slow service because people were coming in after us and were eating their meals before we got our food. The waiter couldn't explain the delay."

"This restaurant is a long time favorite. Very cozy, quiet and always excellent food. Has quite a few booths as well for more privacy. We had the steak and coconut shrimp, both if which were excellent. There is a very large salad bar available as well. Staff was attentive and very helpful. Would highly recommend."

The service was outstanding; our waitress was attentive, helpful and a delight. The entrees were great and the dessert we chose (a caramel crunch cake) was unique and a perfect way to end the meal.
