"Nice setting, great service from our waitress. Went on Mother's Day. Kitchen did not remotely keep up with the demand on the buffet. 15 people waiting in line and presenting a dozen servings is pathetic. At times the ratio was much worse. Portion sizes across differing dishes varied greatly on this visit and previously. (French toast was served without any sides and was roughly 6-8 bites while other dishes on our table were generous and offered variety of sides.)
It is evident that Panzano's acquires excellent produce and the chef is capable of designing wonderful dishes. But abysmal ability to cook and present food consistently will make my third visit my last. I'm sure food critics are offered amazing meals, customers take a gamble."

"We have been here many times. I keep waiting for the food to be better, but it is just fine and does not live up to the build up of the restaurant. The service is always good. If you have been to NYC and eaten at any Italian restaurant there, you will be disappointed.
The one thing that was outstanding this time was the smoked salmon. It was incredible. They do have some home made items at this restaurant that are very good, but the big dishes are just okay."

"I have been anxious to try Panzano's for quite some time after having read about it in the newspaper a few times. I was disappointed in the quality of the food! The menu is limited, which is okay as long as the food that is served is spectacular, but it did not come close to making that mark! We live in the south part of The Denver area and dine out frequently. Some of the small, lesser known strip-mall restaurants down here are much better than the food at Panzano's! Too much hype??"

"We went there for the food but the food this time was the least satisfactory of numerous previous visits. Salad dressing was watery and without flavor ($10.5); meatballs were too spicy in relationship to raviolis in cream sauce (Pastiche $24). The food quality was definitely not up to the prices charged.

"We made reservations on a whim this past Sunday because we had always wanted to try Panzano. In short, I was more than impressed. The atmosphere is sophisticated, the menu is inspired, the quality is top notch, and the food overall is amazing. Had their special omelet and it was delicious. The house made bread is phenomenal with a wonderful berry compote. But most impressive was the Polenta Benedict and their Creamy Spiniach Soup. The flavors on both were so fresh and delicate but at the same time rich and indulgent. WOW!!!"

"Panzano is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. You would not normally think about a restaurant on 17th at a hotel (Monaco) as a destination restaurant, but it deserves every consideration. It is professional, comfortable, and serves up some of the best Italian around. They are flexible, you can add and subtract ingredients to taste. We had some Caesar salads with fresh scallops that were just super. Try the Panzano risottos, always great, as well as their signature dishes. Overall, this is a very solid restaurant, good service, and well located (we just walked down from a conference at the Grand Hyatt). Very positive experience all around."

"Really wonderful northern Italian restaurant. Service was timely and unobtrusive. Waiter was excellent. Was very helpful and engaging. Ended up giving us his card. Wine list is extensive. The food was excellent. Portions were large enough that they could easily be shared. We had a great window table. A bit expensive but we both felt that we got our money's worth. Will certainly be viewed as the high point of our visit to Denver."

"We ate at Panzano's for a celebration lunch. We each ordered a Power Lunch which is a 3 course meal that is well worth the price. The salad primavera was absolutely awesome. The lasagna with homemade noodles was out of this world as was the Saltimbocca di Pollo. The wait staff was extremely gracious and polite. "Order the Chef's Tasting Menu. It's a bit pricier than other items on the menu, but you get five small courses of the Chef's recommendations of the day. We had crepes stuffed with mushrooms, a salad with nuts & dates, a lasagne-type pasta, scallops and cheesecake. Delicious! I love that I can order this every time I come here and it will be something new and different.
They have a nice wine menu and I ended up with a tasty glass of Cab. If you are here for Happy Hour or to eat at the bar, good luck! It is PACKED! Reservations at this place are a MUST!"

"The "Pastiche" was delicious. I would say it had layers of cheese tortellini and not spicy meatballs as the menu says; however, and nonetheless, it was a great dish. It was served in a medium sized pot and remained hot while eating. In the end, the cinnamon and thyme set off the flavor to start. Giving it a sweetness unusual to me in an Italian dish. The octopus appetizer was also a great hit."

"We went for dinner which was really good but the real place to be is happy hour. We had a drink in the bar while waiting for our table and they have a lot of the menu available for happy hour in small dishes for $5 and $6, a great way to try everything. Cocktails are reasonable and delicious- try the R and R. I do recommend you skip the Vincigrassi though. Yes, it really is 100 layers but it's like a dry lasagna. Do try the grilled caesar, the pizza, and the bread is outstanding."

"As first time customers at Panzano, my friend and I thought the quality of food and service was excellent. Our waiter and busser were knowledgeable and attentive but also left us alone to chat. We also appreciate the organic products and especially enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts which I highly recommend!"

"My wife & I always love finding great places to eat. This is by far one of the best places we've found, the food & help were excellent & the atmosphere was lively. It gets a little loud on a Friday night but not so much that it inhibits your conversation. Hands down one of the best "Let's paint the town" starting spots we've found. Thanks for everything!"

"Another successful meal at Panzano. The appetizers were the calamari and lamb ribs. The lamb ribs were a winner with their delightful glaze and tenderness. The calamari was lightly breadedand with a great sauce. They were a tad chewy, but tolerable. The spring salad wasn't really that springy because of the season (early spring) but the goat cheese was top notch. The cauliflower soup was brilliant. It was rich and elegant.The main entrees were the scallops for my partner and the pastiche for me. He loved the scallops and I loved the pastiche although the meat balls were somewhat dry but the flavor was sumptuous. All-in-all a wonderful dinner with few flaws. Would I go back? You bet your sweet Panzano."

"Our dinner at Panzano's in Denver was awesome! The service was impeccable and the food abnsoultely delicious! We had the Chef's tasting menu in order to experience many of the dishes. The Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Green Apple was very nice and the Ceasar Salad with grilled Romaine was tasty. My favorite was the pastiche. Everything was very delicious. Chef Elise Wiggins and her staff represent the best in the business, in my opinion! I cannot wait to go back and it would be worth the flight from NC to Colorado to appreciate this place again."

"We were looking forward to being able to find a good italian restaurant in Denver but were disappointed. I had the scallops (3 for $35) and my husband had the pastiche. We had the calamari appetizer and a spinach side dish. The scallops and pastiche were prepared well - the pastiche was great. The calamari were tender but greasy and the sauteed spinach was swimming in olive oil.
For us Panzano did not live up to our expectations."
