"Went with a friend an had a wonderful time! Reservation got us a great table by the windows over looking the lake. Even got a call earlier in the day asking if I'd prefer indoor or patio. Great atmosphere, nice live music & Never felt rushed! Food was very good and wine was excellent."

"The Tasting Room in Kingwood was the perfect venue for Mother's Day Brunch for several moms whose kids live out of town...we treated ourselves to mimosas and the smoked salmon benedict or the shrimp and grits. A spot outside on a beautiful day, watching people, and great food made for a wonderful Mother's Day."

"I was disappointed with the menu. We arrived at 12 noon and were still given the brunch menu. I am not particularly hungry for grits and eggs at lunch. The brunch menu was very limited. The mixed fruit cup consisted of honey dew and canalope, not a wide range of flavor there.
I've been to the tasting room in the evening and the menu was much better."

"Took the family out for Mother's Day. I know it is a wine bar, but in any group there's the one odd man out who prefers beer. The beer selection is extremely limited. Also, for the rest of us wine lovers, a nice cheese tray make the perfect compelment to get things started. Unfortunately, this was the worst value they offer. For $18, we got the tiniest possible portion of three cheeses that were less than impressive.
On the positive, the wait staff is very friendly. The ambience is comfortable, and the wine list is extensive. We did enjoy our meal, however it was overpriced for our menu selections. We will return, but now we know what to avoid."

"This was our first time at this wonderful neighborhood wine bar / cafe in Kingwood. The outside dining on Lake Houston was a real treat, the food was excellent, and the wine selection outstanding. Happy hour specials are great with some reasonably priced and quite tasty appetizers and discounted wines. Entrees were delicious. Service was excellent throughout the evening. We entertained friends from out of town and everyone was impressed with the food, the wine, the service, and the setting. A great time was had by all. We will be back!"

"Food was terrific, however the service was not. Our waiter was nowhere to be found, and the service that was provided was by the lovely manager herself. The next time around I'll try inside dining, since it appeared the waitstaff inside was very active and attentive with their guests."

"The Tasting Room in Kingwood is outstanding. This was our second visit and we were treated like royalty. We were immediately welcomed, and our drink orders promptly taken. We chose to sit outside by the water. We received complimentary donuts from the chef. They were delicious. Our party had the red velvet pancakes and the Eggs Benedict. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. We will return in a heartbeat."

"We went for the fish special noted on Facebook. It was fantastic. Even my husband, a non fish fan, loved it. Flounder, coated in spiced cornmeal, with creole potato salad and a wonderful corn relish, made us swoon. Service is always top notch. This is a restaurant you can linger at, no one is going to try to crowd you out to make room for another party. And this is the rare place where you can sample before you buy, making it perfect for wine lovers."

"Confusion about our reservation. We called a day ahead of time for a reserv. and heard a recording that someone would get back to us in 48 hrs! I then made online reserv. for 4 for an outside table. The day of our reserv. we received a call to confirm our reserv. We arrived on time to be told our table for 2 inside was ready! The hostess was friendly and helpful to fill our request for the table for 4 outside. We were seated next to a table of smokers and quickly requested another table far away from them. A different hostess was understanding and helped us to move. Negatives - we had to ask a total of 3 x's for napkins/utensils before/after our food arrived. 3rd time to visit, but inside too noisy and outside too smokey."

"Food was good. Atmosphere was also nice; however, the service was very poor. I tipped our server 17% only because she was helpful the few times we saw her. Most of the staff seemed to be looking down their noses at us except our server, who was just overwhelmed with work. There were too few waitresses for a busy Saturday night.
I would have preferred by the glass pricing. I accidentally purchased two glasses of wine that cost much more than expected. I should have asked how much it was, but I was just happy to finally have a beverage after waiting for so long. It should also be noted that we didn't get the opportunity to taste the wine before committing. A different server dropped the glasses and ran."
