Villa Capri is a small privately owned Italian restaurant located in Carmel Valley. Chef Antonio was born and trained in Italy and has brought his amazing talents here to San Diego. Co-owner Salvatore is from the island of Capri and has brought all the charms of the island with him to share with us.
We are a local favorite where everyone comes to relax and enjoy without the dishes to do afterward. Our cozy fireplace and friendly staff will make you feel just at home.

"Now we remember why we haven't been here for years. Location is comfortable and pleasant. Bread was delicious and warm. But other food was underwhelming. Caesar salad was completely bland, not good quality lettuce. Penne alla norma (a dish I love anywhere) was totally unappetizing. Pasta wasn't particularly good, sauce wasn't particularly good, cheese was flavorless, and the eggplant wasn't properly roasted so it was not appealing to eat. Luckily I was able to share another guest's pizza, which was tasty enough. Service was only fair. Unfortunately, no reason to return."

"The first time I went to Villa Capri was better than this one, but it was still very good. I don't recommend the halibut ravioli - pretty weird and flavorless. All other food was great."

"I was expecting just another neighborhood Italian restaurant - I was pleasantly surprised to find Villa Capri to be SO MUCH MORE! Every bite was excellent and not the standard fare. Flavors were fresh and not loaded with breading or cover-up sauces. Each ingredient spoke for itself. Top it off with very good prices too.
