We are open for six days a week and take reservation for lunch and dinner.
"Superb execution of all the dishes that we ordered. Small plates. We tried seafood dishes, oysters, produce, and bread. All prepared with a deft hand. The small kitchen puts outstanding food on the table. Bravo! We'll be back."

"great place for 2-4 people, all pretty small plates, each unique and superb. Emphasis on seafood but steak tartar was delicious. Do order their bread, homemade. Mostly plates to share. Corner, Victorian bistro atmosphere, beautiful sunlight at dusk, easy to hold conversation. Oddly, no desserts, but then Humprey Slocum's is just around the corner."

"two tops are too close together. Parking was difficult. Food was outstanding, as was the service. We will be back. Make sure you try the cured halibut, and the warm spinach salad."

"The only thing available was a cheese plate. Needed something sweet after a very good, light and fresh dinner. Also need to love seafood. There was a beef tartare dish but was my least favorite."

"Baked salmon collar and avante garde treatment of spring vegetables are the two things I remember from my Local's Corner visit. If you're looking for "think outside of the box" flavors, this little Mission spot could be right up your alley. Come with an open mind and focus on seasonal dishes and/or seafood ones, and don't forget their delicious rustic toast with salted butter!"

"The service was exemplary! Most importantly, if the staff have 0 attitude, are kind (but not overly kind) and, are even keeled, then the experience is awesome. I also appreciate it when chefs come out of the kitchen to offer one of their plates to customers--personal touches combined with the right amount of attention and care makes up for almost anything.
The food was really fresh but the portions too small and too pricey. Otherwise, make sure a group gets more than one entree per person. Also, the chefs procure protein from purveyors that are local. For example, there wasn't a big red meat offering the evening we went--or poultry. However they presented seafood + vegs as elevated and best as they could. So, never expect the same thing!"

"Had a great dinner with friends at Local's Corner. Beautifully presented, creative, and impeccably fresh fish preparations. The waitress recommended six dishes for the four of us, which was perfect, and left us just enough room to enjoy a cheese plate for dessert."

"Our food was good, but over-priced and over-hyped. Also, our server was a bit short and she said that Brussels Sprouts are no longer in season, which isn't the case."

"Everything is lovely, except the prices with regard to the portions. A shared entree is approximately 3/4 cup for two people. We paid more than $50 for three dishes (including bread that we also had to pay for) a glass of wine and a glass of iced tea. Each dish was two small bites each, so we went to get ice cream at Humphry Slocombe afterwards. The food is neither that good nor that unique for the prices of their portions. This local will not return. That said, the service was exceptional."

"We really enjoyed that the menu was so specialized. There is nothing quite like it in San Francisco. Each of our plates were well balanced and portions were small and sharable."

"Such potential - but too many quirks to make us want to return. There is a sameness to the dishes (radishes in almost every one, visually similar presentations). The mushroom escabeche - the only non-fish entree we tried - was awful. The sturgeon and halibut were terrific, the sardines good. Only two beers offered: one with hibiscus (wouldn't try) and the other bland/thin for my beau's taste. Talent in the kitchen, but not a destination worth going out of our way again."

"We came into Local's Corner for a birthday meal. The food is small plates so you definitely want at least two plates per person and one or two more if you're hungry. The food was excellent. The only dish I felt was prepared too salty was the sturgeon. The lamb also had a little bit too much grizzle but it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was outstanding. A terrific restaurant."

"The chefs and staff at Local's Corner deliver an amazing variety of tastes with beautiful presentation. I love and appreciate the concept of keeping it local and seasonal -- always something new and interesting on the menu. The dishes here are smaller than at counterpart Local Mission Eatery -- come with a group so that you can sample lots of different things. Don't forget the oysters!"

"Overall A- / B+. Went on a Friday night (8:30 PM) service waas great, food was good, atmosphere was OK but not that packed (I prefer packed). Menu was limited but items were fresh and tasty. All in all I would go back."

"This restaurant was great! The trout appetizer was especially delicious. It has a darling atmosphere that makes it quaint which is why a reservation is needed in advance to dine here. We would go back to this cute spot."

"This was our first time here, but we really enjoyed it. Al the plates are designed to share so we shared everything. The smoked oyster chowder and the pork shoulder were outstanding. On the other hand, the calamari and kale was almost just kale and not worth it. Fantastic bread. Cheese is available but not sweet desserts."

"We are getting to know this place and we are like what we have had so far. We even spent Valentine's Dinner here, which is normally a hassle at most restaurants. We liked that they didn't have a special menu for Valentine's Day, just the same menu you always get.
Only draw back is that you have to pay for bread, which seems kind of skimpy for the prices they charge for the entrees."

"The raw oysters were really fresh and delicious. I had the fish stew which was unexpectedly sour and had a lot of root vegetable in it. My friend had the crab which was seasoned without compromising the sweetness of the delicate crab meat. I made a reservation beforehand but was seated at the chef's counter while there were empty tables for two. I should have asked for a table. You'll have to pay for bread. They have no dessert."

"Food was fresh, interesting and original. Sauces complimented the ingredients and didn't overwhelm.everything was treat for the palate. The only downside is that the ventilation was not good and so we came out smelling like a burger joint."

"I really wanted to love this little place. Walking by it looked SO CUTE! IT is only a few blocks from my our house, so my partner and I were really excited to give it a try. Sadly, I was not that impressed. The food was fine, not amazing not, terrible, but completely adequate. We ordered a 3 course dinner. Starting with the oysters, which were super fresh and delicious. We thought we were off to a good start. The second courses ( beet salad and brussel sprout salad) came randomly. Which was OK, we are fine with family style although it was not what we had expected, or how we had ordered. Both salads tasted under seasoned to us. Dinner was not much better. Overall it was fine, i was hoping for amazing."
