"I have lived in C'ville a long time and tried Blue Light Grill for the first time with four others. We ate outside on a perfect evening and each of us loved what we ordered. From fish to burgers with raw bar appetizers and fancy drinks it was great. We all agreed we will go back again. I would recommend you try this if you love really good food with a casual atmosphere."

"Our waitress was nice. The problem was that the entree came for one of our party, but the rest of our table did not get any food for 15 monutes. As the one person finished their entree we asked for our check. They then came out with our scallops that looked under cooked. We declined and left without eating."

"Was in town for a bachelorette and 12 of us needed a place to go for dinner after deciding not to stay in and cook. The restaurant was nearly empty, so they could easily accommodate such a large group at the last minute.
The service was a little slow, and after requesting something a few times (a drink, bread, another side dish) it often still required some prompting. All but 1 liked her meal very much - and all reasonably priced."

"We looked forward to our meal at Blue Light during a college visit to UVa. Did love the atmosphere and the booth we were seated in. But we were disappointed that two of the six dishes we ordered (one being a pasta dish and there was no replacement pasta dish) were not available. It was almost comical that the waitress kept coming back to our table to tell us that they didn't have what we ordered.
It was a decent meal but don't think we would hurry back."

"All of the Valentine's Day Prix Fixe menu options sounded EXCELLENT. Unfortunately all of our choices were mediocre for a variety of reasons. My main complaint is that the oysters and lobster were all very over-cooked. When I order seafood I like to taste the creature itself, but the oysters were buried under breadcrumbs, bacon, garlic and heated to a temperature that denatured them entirely. The lobster tail was grilled into its shell to the point that very little meat could even be enjoyed after scraping it out. Presentations were all lovely, though my first cocktail was incredibly sweet, which I did not expect or especially like. I was disappointed by the giant screen TVs above the bar, which I did not think such a restaurant would have,"
