"We have dined here a few times in the past, and Sterling did not disappoint once again as we had another fabulous meal. We ordered the table d'hote which is always a great selection of food. The soup of the day was delicious, which was followed by a red beet salad for myself and escargots for my husband. The salad was incredible...the dressing left me searching for it online! My husband did not stop talking about how incredible the escargot were. We both ordered the fillet mignon which was phenomenal. This restaurant was made to offer steaks and they cook it to PERFECTION. The service is also very good with very attentive staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a definite gem!"

"This was our third or fourth time visiting Sterling and, as always, the food did not disappoint. Steaks are great. Sides are great. Wine list is decent (maybe a little more Napa/Canada would be nice). If you enjoy a decent steak then this place is great. The location is spot on as well - great views!"

"I have not had service like this in decades, when wait staff would be there to light your cigarette before you put it in your mouth, or top up your glass before the last mouthful, or remove your plate with perfect timing. No hovering, just perfectly timed service. I had the filet mingnon rare and the meat was grilled to perfection. The side vegetables of stacked squash, eggplant, zucchini, pepper and tomato was delicious. I was only a little disappointed with the mashed potato. It was a little cold and flavourless. The ambiance is great (it is a beautiful venue), and there was live entertainment (a keyboard player singing some old standards) which added beautifully to the experience. The wine cellar was remarkable."

"Great food! Very quiet surroundings to have lunch with a friend or partner and be able to hear each other! Not noisy like other places and you don't feel rushed to get through your meal to get out! We actually spent 2 hours there and it was just perfect !"

"A group of 8 of us attended for my husband's birthday, a first time for about half of the party. We were seated in a private dining room overlooking the river. It was perfect! We were offered drinks almost immediately, and taken on an informative tour of the restaurant, including a phenomenal wine cellar. The appetizers were delicious, and arrived in excellent time. The service staff was very efficient in taking our orders and removing dishes/glasses. The entrees were succulent, and despite the large portions of the appetizers, everyone finished their meals because they were so good. Everyone who attended will be repeat clients! We would definitely recommend this restaurant to those who have impeccable taste for great food!"

"We requested a table change, we were originally seated at a table for two in between other couples. Our table change brought us to a half booth, very quiet and exactly what we were looking for.
The employees were extremely courtesy, friendly and accomodating...very professional.

"Very nice restaurant, however we were disappointed with the musician. We learned about Sterling from the Jazz music website, we had hoped for more authentic jazz music rather than covers of pop songs. Otherwise Sterling is a very nice restaurant."

"This is about the 4th time we’ve been at Sterlings. We were very disappointed with our food, we started with a Caesar salad which was very good and our main course was 8 ounces filet, my wife and I asked for the filet to be medium well it was charcoal all over and well done. The béarnaise sauce was thick it should have been creamier. We enjoyed our wine and desert. The cost of our meal was $268.00. Your hostess that greeted us at the door was very pleasant and outgoing but we found our server to be quite brash and not very friendly.
I feel it was important for you to know about our experience as Sterlings."

"Priced in the higher end - but worth it. Of course the beef was excellent and prepared as it should be eaten. Attentive staff but not in your face. Customers wore dress clothes and some showed up in jeans and a sweatshirt (not the designer type - the kind that said I have money so I do as I please)."

"Our first visit to Sterling was for Valentine's Day and the menu was a select table d-hote. The selections were excellent and all of the dishes we tried were perfectly prepared. They accommodated a gluten intolerance with no trouble. The pork belly melted in the mouth. The tartar was spicy. The whipped potatoes with white chocolate were a wonderful surprise. The sirloin and venison were both done to perfection. The dark-and-white chocolate mousse was DIVINE.
The service was also exceptional: helpful and attentive but inobtrusive.
The decor is wonderful and during the day, the view of the River would be wonderful. We'll definitely be back!"
