"My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Viaggio at the Park. We highly recommend the meatball appetizer. The service was outstanding and we will return!"

"We had a very good experience.....staff was friendly and knowledgable about the menu and wine. Great traditional Italian food, but the BEST dinner of the four was definitely the Brick Chicken. It's a must!"

"We dined at Viaggios at the Park during lunch for Mother's Day and were not disappointed at all! From the service to the food it was quite a nice surprise since my family and I had never dined there before. Would definitely go back again and again!!"

"The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. The food was out of this world, particularly the meatballs! I was so torn between menu choices that I almost ordered a second entree to take home. I cannot wait to go back!"

"Viaggio is the epitomy of fantastic service. The owner and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special, each and every time. The fact that the food is phenomenal makes this a must-do, especially considering they offer gluten-free options, a rarity with italian cuisine. The servers really focus on making your dining experience special."

"This is a very solid old school Italian restaurant. Nothing on the menu you haven't seen before. Our food was well prepared. The wine list was small but well-selected."

"Good food, good service, friendly and helpful staff, charming ambiance, scenic location with Lincoln Park just across the street--it has to be one of the best high-end restaurants in the neighborhood (where the competition is formidable)."

"4th time back in 6 weeks. Have always loved the food here. Service is never anything less than perfect. Management is always accommodating. Had to adjust a reservation and they were more than willing even when the restaurant was fully booked.
Food is always fantastic. Thanks for another great evening."

"Almost to hate to write a review because it is such a great little find in the neighborhood! Everything about it is great! The food tastes like it came out of my grandmas' kitchens. Very friendly and fun wait staff. It is small so if you like to dine in quiet it is not the place for you. The noise level is so tolerable because everyone is having fun in this quaint space!"

"Viaggio at the Park can best be described as a neighborhood gem with a downtown flair. The restaurant is discretely located amongst high-rises at the corner of Lake View Ave. and Fullerton. The food is exceptional. The meatball salad is a must. From my perfect martini, through delicious appetizers and outstanding entrees, the overall experience could not be more perfect. The menu is filled with old world Italian dishes with a modern, sophisticated twist. White linen tablecloths, outstanding service and a warm and inviting ambiance make this place a must."

"We arrived early for a reservation. We were seated right away at a table in an alcove. This is one of the best seats in the house. We chose a meatball salad as an appetizer based on the recommendation of another reviewer; just like the other reviewer, we could not say enough good things about that appetizer. One member of my party said the meatballs were the best she had ever had. I had the sea bass special, excellent choice although the mashed potatoes were a little bland. Two members of the party had pasta dishes, which they raved about. The Italian merlot from the wine list was a perfect choice with everything we ate. The homemade Tiramisu was incredible, the best I have ever had. This was a great Saturday thanks to the Viaggio!"

"Great food. Large portions; the osso bucco was easily shared. Service was outstanding. We had a person with us who had difficulty walking. They offered to take our valet claim check in advance of our leaving and had the car waiting when we walked out."

"This was my first visit at Viaggio, and it was amazing! I brought my girlfriend for her birthday and the staff did everything to make us feel welcomed. When I reserved a few days before, I included I was celebrating a birthday, but never expected them to offer us anything. When we got there, our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. He suggested a few plates and they were phenomenal. Once we finished they brought out a dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday, which I never thought it would happen in a restaurant like Viaggio. Not only did the staff sing but other people that were eating as well, it felt like family. Definitely coming back again."

"Delicious marinated green peppers and bread served when you sit. Meat ball salad sounds weird but it was so delicious, our group ordered a 2nd one. Eggplant stack - YUM. Everyone enjoyed their entree. Attentive service. Can't wait to go again."

"I came here as "Dads Choice" for restaurant week with the idea to try something totally new. We ended up ordering off the regular menu because the items were just too good to pass up. We started off with the fried calamari, crispy, fresh, a delicious way to start our meal. For dinner I had the special of scallops over linguine with a lemon white wine sauce. Those had to have been some of the best, most fresh, most tender and perfectly cooked scallops I have ever had. My dad had the linguine with freshly shucked clams and he loved it as well. The service was great, the owner was friendly and welcoming and our waiter suggested a perfectly paired wine for our dishes that complimented everything. Overall, a great new hidden gem."

"Food and service are fantastic. Good wine list. Meatball salad and eggplant were delicious. Busy on weekends so if you want it more on the quiet/romantic side go M-Th before everyone finds out about this new location. Staff is unreal and always go out of their way to make one feel special."

"We had been to the west side Viaggio's many times and wanted to try the new northside sibling. Although ownership recently turned over, they have done an excellent job of duplicating the same hospitality and dining experience. The food is great and comes in the same large portions. We'll definitely be back!"
