Lavinia's Relaxed Dining
Lavinia"s is a full service dinner restaurant, located in the heart of New Hampshires Lakes Region. Lavinia's serves a variety of dinner items ranging from casual pub fare like Burgers and Fish Tacos to high end entrees like Osso Bucco and Lobster Pot Pie. Our newly renovated pub is an excellent place to enjoy casual dinner during the week, and our private seating in the cupola may be reserved for special occasions. "My husband and I dined at this location a couple of times when it was The Coe House. We thought we would try it under the new name/ownership. We were already familiar with the ambience and charm of this restaurant, so were happy to see that this element had not changed. We found the menu selection, the food quality and the service, by both our server and the manager, to be spot on. It is a little pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. I highly recommend a visit to this historical treasure!"

"Decided to try Lavinia's over our usual spot - the atmosphere was lovely and the staff very friendly. The menu was impressive, but the taste was a bit of a let down. There was not a whole lot of flavor. We has the appetizer special, ceasar salad, butter poached lobster salad, roasted beet stack salad, veal osso bucco, lobster pie, seafood pie and grilled salmon. The salads were huge - plenty to share. the flavor was bland on all. Had high hopes for the roasted beet salad, but unfortunately they were cold canned beets. The seafood pies were good. The veal and salmon were bland. I just know with some fresh herbs and a little more work, this place would be great. Will give it another try in a few weeks."

"The ambiance of a beautiful old colonial house with small dining areas is very pleasant. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. The wine list is short but covers the basics. Three of us had the fish tacos which were excellent. We had a very leisurely dinner and the service was excellent."

"Why did we wait so long to go to Lavinias? There were plenty of options for our gluten free friends. The menu offerings varied in price so you could choose a light inexpensive meal or go "all out!" All of our food was exceptional. Kudos to Jeff Wooley and the kitchen. Service was attentive and thoughtful. The meal was definitely worth the 30 minute drive and we will be going again soon. I'm so glad the owner changed from the more formal Coe House to the more relaxed Lavinias!"

"The dining experience was very nice and memorable for my wife and me. We reserved the cupola dining space which was very private and romantic. There is an excellent view of Lake Winnipesaukee and a panoramic view of the mountains. The food and service were excellent, with reasonable prices. We highly recommend Lavinia's and will return."

"very disappointing wine was not good and I am not a wine expert, but it didn't taste good and it was not the house wine
don't bother ordering tomato mozzarella salad .. thinly slice tomatoes with NO taste and the mozzarella was nothing special
my husband had the veal chop ... it was very fatty and it should never have been served
I had the hanger steak and it was okay, but I couldn't get the server to bring the sauce on the side."

"This place was great!! It was a quiet night so nice for a romantic birthday dinner. Food was amazing, staff was very friendly and attentive, and the history of the place is interesting as well. The bar looked like it had great atmosphere too! Would recommend it without hesitation!"

"We have been to Lavinias on several occasions. the food is very good, the service was much improved and great for the hectic Valentine's day crowd. As a nice touch they gave out red roses to the patrons.
Our only concer this visit was the upstairs dining room was stuffy and hot.
We are lucky to have Lavinias as a year round option in the area."
