"The fish and chips are a must! The smoked salmon and asparagus was amazing! the atmosphere is relaxed and the essence of a traditional English pub is spot on! The patio is clean and very private. The Crown and Goose continues to be my favorite reeturant in Knoxville."

"We took my Mother to brunch for Mother's Day and had an amazing meal. The only drawback was that our service was slow, taking 15 minutes to order and then nearly an hour to get our food. However once our food got there it was great so that made up for the slow service some."

"Wonderful selection of high gravity beers. Steak sandwich was great. Probably would go with the fries over the fried onions next time as a side. Great place to hang after work"

"The Crown & Goose offers an abundance of food, spirits, and culture. The atmosphere is second to none. The outdoor area is truly unique in the restaurant, giving it a match for anyone's dining experience. This is a "must see" on your short list of great restaurants in the Knoxville marketplace."

"I've been going to the Crown and Goose from shortly after they opened on. The food this trip was great as always; I had the sausage of the day as Bangers and Mash with a Guinness."

"Definitely fit for foodies. The Small plates were interesting and selection of oysters on half shell were very good. Had a very interesting and creative cocktail selection. Only glitch was timing from kitchen. Very long time between appetizers and entree. Definitely a nice casual but fun gastro pub."

"The atmosphere is wonderful, you want to kick back have your food/drink and socialize with your guests. Service is top notch and the staff are very knowledgeable on the dishes and drinks. The Shepards Pie with Lamb Chops was amazing and the Fish & Chips, although not traditional, were very good. I will defiantly return to try more of the menu,"

"Food and service were awesome. But because of a "Thing" they had going on, we had to sit next to the bar where there was a lot of noise and traffic. Overall experience was great and food was out of this world."

"This was my second trip and I have had two great experiences. Food has been great, service was excellent and it's just a cool place. My only issue on this night was the kitchen. It took 45 minutes before the food was delivered, and the waitress told us that the kitchen was backed up, although the place wasn't that busy."

"We went for Easter Brunch and it was fabulous ! I had their Belgian waffle with fresh fruit and hash browns with their bacon. That bacon was the best bacon that I've ever eaten. The mimosas were good. We will definitely go back."

"Incredible seasonal items on their rotating menu makes for a new experience each time. The service was efficient and not overbearing. My wife and I especially enjoy the cheese board as an appetizer. Only complaint this trip was a warm beer, but the food and atmosphere more than made up for that."

"The Crown and the Goose serves excellent traditional American and British-influenced food, consistently and well at reasonable prices. We think it is the best restaurant in Knoxville at any price level. They do equally good jobs with fish and beef."

"The food was mediocre at best and expensive. The wine list was very limited with a few cheap wines and then a huge jump to expensive wines. The service was also not too great. The only bright spot was the band which was very good. This is my second time eating at The Crown & Goose (the other time was Sunday brunch), and I have been less than satisfied both times."

"Great cuisine with an awesome atmosphere. We're "regulars" who find the service to be amazing, and the food is superb. We've never had a bad experience.
Most recently, we went with friends for a Saturday dinner. The Ploughman's cheese board offered some wonderful variety as an appetizer. And our dinners -- especially the Shepherd's Pie and the Crispy Chicken Carbonara -- were amazing (the chips in the Fish and Cheese were soggy and greasy, for the first time ever, but it was a busy night).
We'll continue to visit. The owner has done a great job in bringing an upscale pub to downtown Knoxville."

"The food was good; not astounding. Service was very good. We had to change the number of our party twice and they handled that without difficulty. One of the changes was adding a person after we had arrived. We were told we would have to wait a while because of that but were seated in only 10 minutes."

"The service started out nicely. Our server was very friendly taking the time to explain some menu items after finding out it was our first visit; it was downhill after that. My husband's steak was undercooked; my shrimp - completely overcooked so they were very dry. While the server passed our table several times, my water glass never saw a refill. We left in search of something else to eat. We will not be back."

"I've been to the Crown and Goose a number of times, and they never fail to surprise me. The ambiance and the service is consistently wonderful, and every time I've been there the menu has changed just enough to give you a new treat to test out while keeping the tried-and-trues ready as well. I just don't think you can go wrong with an evening at the Crown and Goose."
