"We celebrated my brother's 60th birthday, group of 9 people.
We were treated like royalty. The manager was very accommodating to our needs and the requests. The server was very professional and had a good sense of humor too!"

Review 3 for Imari Teppanyaki - Hilton Waikoloa Village
"Not a good value for money. Sushi is great, though. Teppanyaki is a real downer for the place, the chef just did his job (cooked food) and left - no entertainment, and I believe that was the thought behind the creation of this style. Food was not tasty, as there was a distinct smell of oil and cookware. I ended up ordering sushi, and sake (very good selection).
Service is very good, friendly and attentive."

Review 4 for Imari Teppanyaki - Hilton Waikoloa Village
"We were not staying at the Hilton, but decided to come here for my birthday dinner. The set-up was confusing: seating was available at the teppanyaki areas, at the sushi bar, and at regular dining tables. I didn't realize my reservation was for teppanyaki -- I had already consulted the menu to make sure there was an acceptable vegetarian option for me. Instead, we were seated at a teppanyaki table with five other people, where the only thing I could order was a vegetable stirfry (basically just the veggies that everyone else got as a side to their meat/seafood dish). At least a small salad, miso soup, and rice were included in the meal. Food was so-so, service was fine."

Review 5 for Imari Teppanyaki - Hilton Waikoloa Village
"The main reason I did't give a better rating was that the meal felt very rushed. The chef was cooking our veggies while we're were eating the soup, so the veggies got cold before we could get to them. The service was attentive, but the chef is cooking at the table could have been more entertaining (the joke "it's my first time" while tossing the knives is a bit stale). Instead of the teppanyaki, I suggest opting for a regular table, especially if there are four of you; the teppanyaki tables do not allow easy conversation."

Review 6 for Imari Teppanyaki - Hilton Waikoloa Village
"Teppanyaki is sometimes more about the show than the food - not at Imari. All of the knife and spatula tricks are there (albeit "muted")but the food is excellent and the atmosphere serene and elegant. In a beautiful setting on a koi-filled lagoon, the different sections (sushi, traditional Japanese, and teppanyaki) allow for different levels of noise and ambiance. We did the teppanyaki and chose ribeye for one meal and shrimp and scallops for the other - both excellent. Prompt service rounded out the experience. Pricy but highly recommended"
