The food at Singapura is as diverse as the Singaporeans themselves and is a melting pot of Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and Indian cultures. At Singapura we present a menu of these multi-cultural flavors which draw from the legacy and cooking methods of housewives, private homes and hawker food stalls. The décor at Singapura, is modern, with floral ceiling lamps and comfortable booths, adorned with ancient Abacus Chinese calendars along the walls. Singapura, is a little slice of Singapore in New York City. Chicken rice anybody?
"Char Kway Teow, Nasi Goreng, Hainan Chicken and Laksa were all delicious and authentic. Sizzling Lamb was absolutely superb and excellently presented. Chili Garlic Noodles compared well with the Kway Teow. Atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. A truly memorable meal!"

"I have now become a regular and each time a friend or family members come visit me I always take them to Singapura. Without fail each time the food has been amazing and the waitstaff super friendly. I go for the food as much as for the great service. One of my favorite things is the food flavor and spice. I have yet to find a place to match Singapura."

"After living as expats in Singapore for 8 years and then moving home to NYC, we longed for some Singaporean food. Singapura did a great job of filling that longing. The Chicken Rice and Laksa were delicious, as were the Hakka noodles. The Fried Bananas, though not traditional were a yummy treat. We plan to go back often."

"Food was excellent, can't go wrong with anything in the menu. They have a wine list but lacking a cocktail menu. They are in the process of building a cocktail menu"

"As always the service is amazing as is the food. This restaurant has become a regular spot for me, which says a lot when there are so many options in NYC!"

"The decor's warm and cozy - there are booths for smaller groups/couples, and a long table can be set up for a larger party. The Malaysian food is on-point, and I enjoyed the kangkung belacan a lot. The Malay fish curry wasn't bad, but I'll get a spicier dish next time. Friendly, attentive service."

"Inexpensive and delicious Thai food. We had the fried chicken and pan fried dumplings to start. Both were very good. Then we split 2 Noodle dishes and Lamb Rendang between 3 of us. Totally full with delicious food and $20 each. Definitely would go back."

"Singapura is one of those 'best kept secrets'. The food was outstanding ... hosted some my company's accounts for lunch and everyone was very pleased with the food. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of ! I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"The food was great, but the restaurant was very loud so it was hard to hear each other. We sat near the door and every time it opened cold air rushed in. The waiters were wonderful and we had a great time, anyway."

"Singapura is tiny; be sure to make reservations. It's casual and has good friendly service, making it ideal for any occasion. Most starters are tastier than the main courses, but it's ideal for a fun appetizer tasting dinner , sharing with friends: lots of great choices like papaya salad,, cauliflower manchurian, chicken sate, etc. Spring rolls are full of cabbage and mushrooms, not my favorite, but the roti canai was so delicious I ate two of the pancakes that came with it and kept the sauce to pour over my heavenly Haiianese chicken rice and Nasi Goreng later on. I've actually been to Singapore and many of the dishes at Singapura tasted fairly authentic, with a few minute details like sauces changed up a bit. Give this place a try!"

"We reserved a table at Singapura for a birthday dinner for two friends. Everything went smoothly, there was no wait, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. They even brought out dessert with candles on it as a surprise at the end of dinner. What was even sweeter was that the dessert they brought us wasn't even on their regular menu. They clearly went to some trouble for us. Much appreciated! We will definitely be back."

"This is the closest to authentic South East Asian restaurant. The three of us got seated immediately even we got there 5 mins earlier and the place was packed! Great selection on the menu, we were having a head time to choose. Everything looked good. Fast and attentive service. The manager was very professional, hands on and helpful. The food came out fast and every single thing we ordered TASTED delicious! We were very happy. Great selection of beers too, they have an organic beer. We ordered the only dessert they said they have which was sticky rice with mango, it was excellent. Everything was just PERFECT!! Plus the prices are very reasonable! Great portions too! We were pleasntly full. We can't wait to go back and try the other dishes."

"I chose this restaurant to suit a few friends getting together, one of whom is a vegetarian so there would be plenty of options. Our menu choices resulted in some very spicy items, a few that surprised us, so ask first, to avoid this. The food was very nice but eventually I pulled the manager over to ensure that we had one dish that would not be hot and spicy. His recommendation was a mild chicken-on-the-bone curry which was delicious."

"I had a decent outing for valentines dinner night. We live an work in NYC so booked the reservations via the app and whole experience was a pleasure. No real hassles when we arrived at the restaurant. I think due to a prior reservation they also offered my wife a red rose :)"

"Generally the food was ok., nothing special or memorable. They definitely did not use enough spice or flavor in their food, certainly only faintly close to food in Singapore. I think it would be ok for a quick meal."

"I came here with a group of six and had a lovely time. The menu has a large variety to accomodate for all ranges of taste and preference. There were 2 vegetarians in the group and they had many options to choose from. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The ambiance was simple with low level instrumental music in the background that made it easy to talk and hold conversations with the group. Overall, a nice place to come to have a relaxing meal."

"Really enjoyed this place. Tables are close together, so intimate/private conversation is for narcissists (a la people that shout into their cellphones). Service was efficient, food extremely good, prices reasonable. Making a reservation certainly helped."
