By the age of ten, Giuseppe Brucia was attending culinary school on Palermo, Sicily. Graduating at the age of thirteen from Instituto Alberghiero Profesionale, he served as apprentice at Bagutta Ristorante in Milan. With his long family tradition and superb culinary training, Chef Giuseppe began his lifelong culinary career quickly becoming an award-winning chef in Italy and later in the United States. In the last thirty six years, Giuseppe's has elevated the art of authentic Mediterranean cuisine in Shreveport-Bossier City. His inspiration and accomplishments have culminated in the creation of Ristorante Giuseppe an experience that celebrates casual dining with family and friends together with the graceful art of cooking.

"I took my mother and father out to eat as a Mother's/Fatther's Day supper. The quail was excellent; however, the veal piccata left very much to be desired. The dish was very very very bland and the pasta had no flavor outside of the past itself. Our water was filled up greatly. There was the expeditor in the purple shirt who came out to the table next to ours and incessantly spoke very loudly of past patrons and how they complained. That couple was trying to enjoy the meal as well as we were. He finally excused himself (thank God) and we were able to resume our meal. This all happened on Saturday 11MAY2013. We were told the outside section were for special reservations. I would recommend many other Italian places. Don't waste your time or $"

"The food quality was excellent. Loved the atmosphere even had a nice view of the kithen which was a nice touch. Not too loud and very well designed interior. Very clean . Service was a little slow and so ,so , but would definetly recommend . Great menu and specials excellent food ."

"Giuseppe's is very consistent. This was my third visit and each time has been excellent. I love the elegant and spacious atmosphere where the noise level is always low - even when crowded. The food is consistently good. I've never left thinking "last time was better." I generally opt for one of their specials which is usually some type of saltwater fish topped with shrimp or crab and a white wine based sauce. Their signature desserts are freshly made and always pleasing. The customer service, especially when you walk in the door, is excellent!"

"The cheese and meat board was great. The goat cheese was flavorful as were the harder cheeses. There is a chicken/noodle dish (poperadelli? or something like that) was a find. We enjoyed Giuseppe and will be returning next week for our anniversary. We can't wait."

"Thank goodness for Open Table! Visiting a city we had never been, we were Googling, yelping, travel advisor, Urban Spooning and more! But, it was on Open Table that we found Ristorante Giuseppe! It was exactly the type of restaurant we hoped, for a memorable dinner to celebrate our sons accomplishments in the Air Force!
Service was excellent and our server attentive. From appetizer to desert it was all we hoped for!"

"The entire experience was very good. The only areas that could be improved upon were: 1. It took a long time for the.food to arrive at our table. 2.The breadsticks were delicious but the rolls were almost tasteless. I would recommend substituting bread with a crunchy crust for the rolls. 3. Our server neglected to tell us about the veal chop special. We overheard another member of the wait staff describe this special to other diners midway through our meal. My wife would have ordered the chop.
Otherwise, the food was very tasty and the server did a nice job. We will definitely come back if we are in Shreveport again.y"

"Excellent dinner. My only problem was our table was right next to the kitchen which is open so the romanticism was kind of lost between me and my wife. However, besides that, excellent food and service. The wine list is majority Italian which is excellent as my wife and I enjoy italian wine frequently and there are not enough in many high end restaurants."
